While it has good points such as the exercise guides, the everyday experience of adding sets and reading comments is slow at the best of times and doesn’t function at all without a good data connection. There seems to be no offline sync or capability. To view your current exercise weight you have to view the history. To see if your coach has made any comments on an exercise you have to open the comments on each exercise and check the message date. Most egregious is that as a client you have no ability to export or delete your data. I understand that coaches do, and this responsibility is deferred to them. I cannot find any client support available on the app creators website. ### 2/5 — Account associated with another gym *2022-04-20* I used this app at another gym. My new gym is unable to add me as I’m still associated with my previous gym. They said they no longer has access to the app to release my account/email and I don’t see an option for me to disassociate/associate with gyms. ### 2/5 — Close but so far away from being great *2020-05-12* This app has potential to be great for accountability. However if you enjoy seeing you have unread messages when you don’t this is the app for you. No matter what I do the notification of a new message won’t go away. ### 1/5 — Severely buggy app *2018-05-31* This app has been broken since early April 2018. Multiple updates have failed to resolve the bug I am seeing where the app interface fails when you try to bring the app into the foreground. The red dot notification flag mysteriously disappears once the app opens. It also lacks night mode which should be standard at this point. Nobody wants a glaring white screen after dark. ### 1/5 — Update is not working *2020-04-22* The update is showing white text on a white background and I have to change my personal phone settings from dark mode which I prefer to using it normal just for an app to work there has to be some way that this can be fixed it was working just fine before the latest update ### 1/5 — The worse app ever *2020-04-22* I’ve never had an app with so many issues, there shouldn’t be a problem every time. That last update just made it worse; nothing works. ### 1/5 — Not great *2019-09-20* The app constantly glitches out, freezes, shuts down, logs you off and doesn't let you login or change your password. Constantly has unread notifications despite them being opened. Just in general does not work well whatsoever. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-09-09* First of all when the newest update rolled out it sent out a badge notification and I have not been able to remove it. Not just on my app but my wife’s as well. Second it won’t let me upload more than 1 progress photo from my gallery and when it finally allows a second one it doesn’t show up in chronological order. So I try to delete said photo(s) and there isn’t even an option to do that. The app is said to help trainers have easier access to clients yet the clients aren’t able to use your app, because it isn’t user friendly. ### 1/5 — Worse than before *2019-09-08* Trying to use this app is now frustrating. It is very difficult to read most things. The daily lessons are so easy to follow, very knowledgeable, concise and full of really good information to keep you on track, in control and focused. I love the way that you can track your progress and data, as well as having a resources section to visit any of the previous days lessons if you need to revisit and recap at any time. A definite must for those who need to be accountable to someone on a daily basis on their diet and fitness journey... you get a reminder every day to read your daily lesson!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ### 5/5 — Game Changer *2019-09-18, version 4.0.3* I’ve been using Coach Catalyst as a coach now for two years. For clients, this app allows them to see their lessons and tasks, add progress photos and measures, and send me messages. ### 5/5 — Fantastic app, fantastic developers *2018-11-30* The MyCoach app provides a great interface for both client and coach to interact, learn, and be properly coached along the way. The developers are ALWAYS taking feedback from the users, and are constantly looking to make improvements that would benefit everyone. This is hands-down my favorite app to use with my clients, especially with clients I enroll in my nutrition challenges online. ### 3/5 — Latest update not better *2026-07-16* Been using this for about a year. The latest update is not great. The stopwatch is jumpy and difficult to look at. Why change it when it wasn’t broken? Also the sets are now expanded.
