## What is MycoLog?

MycoLog is the dedicated mushroom foraging journal built for serious mycology enthusiasts. Whether you are a seasoned forager tracking chanterelles across old-growth forests or a beginner learning to identify your first morels, MycoLog gives you the tools to record, organize, and learn from every find.

Log detailed mycological data for each mushroom you discover in the field. Record spore print color, gill attachment type, substrate, habitat, cap diameter, stem height, and your confidence rating. Attach photos directly from your camera or photo library. Tag each find with GPS coordinates to build a personal waypoint map of your most productive foraging spots.

Your species library grows automatically as you log finds. See at a glance which species you have found most often, which habitats are most productive, and how your foraging activity changes with the seasons. The Field Stats dashboard gives you seasonal tracking, substrate breakdowns, and habitat analysis so you can plan your next outing with confidence.

MycoLog keeps your data private and secure. All information is stored locally on your device. GPS coordinates can be excluded from exports so your secret foraging spots stay secret. Export your complete log as a CSV file for backup or sharing with fellow mycologists.
