They tend to go off a script and do not have exact solutions to your problems regarding the app or card. If they can’t help you based off of their script they will push it forward to their other support team, where your issue will never be resolved and be forgotten. I’ve been contacting their support for the past month with the same issue and resulting to the same solution. It does nothing else. OK, I was a little bit unfair because I was reading through these reviews and they are mostly negative. And one of the things that concerns me was that several people had said that they could not use this card to pay bills online or pay down balances for other credit accounts. Which might be true in the cases of those credit accounts which only accept payment from a bank source. For example, my PayPal world credit card cannot be paid from anywhere but my bank. But fortunately my Affirm accounts can be paid using debit or credit cards, which is a good way to get the balances down, not that bringing the balance down on Affirm or Klarna will actually improve your credit rating, it won’t. But, it will be one less payment to make next month. And that’s what our goal is. So I was disappointed to read that some people had not been able to make important payments with this card. One of the main things that might confuse people is that there is no name on the card and when you are entering any card into a payment method, it has to be the exact name registered on your card. Now, in my case, I had just gotten this card assigned, so I knew that they used only my first and last name without the middle initial, which is normally the way that they do it with other credit cards. In fact, some of them insist that you provide your middle name or maiden name. So I knew I had entered the proper information into the card entry window. And face it, all of the information we need is right there on the card, the expiration date, the card number, the CVV. It’s all there and that’s all that they need. So my card was added properly, and my payment was accepted immediately. And THIS is what I appreciate. This card became 10 times more useful immediately, however: Cons… No way to set up transfers. No push notifications. The app, the iOS app, does not have all of the controls available to provide push notifications, it does not even show up under notifications under settings. Needs a whole lot more functionality. And, the charges when you use anything but the app to check your balances. Maybe this is an incentive to not use my local bank, but, I needed to see if I had set my pin correctly. And that cost me $.50. Unfortunately, you can’t bring this card to your bank and have them transfer the funds into your bank account like you can with other incentive cards. It declined a $20 withdrawal to be used as a $20 deposit into my checking account. Maybe the teller did not have my credentials but she probably tried to do it a different way. They basically use the card to provide a cash advance into my checking account. It works well with the other incentive cards that I use, but even the head teller had trouble setting up the cash advance, and the teller at a different branch could not do it at all. Other irritations… This is supposed to be a Visa card, where is the chip? There is no chip. Even my SNAP card has a chip which even works at certain stores. Also, if cards are lost and stolen several people claimed that they charge you for a new card. I don’t know about anybody else, but there’s a possibility that my card will not ever be reloaded. So I don’t really want charges on my card that I did not authorize, even for replacing the card. That should be a gratis feature from Dash. But the main thing about this system, this app, this card, which in many cases is given to people in lieu of a paycheck, is very limited in the functions that you can accomplish. It can only be used in very simple ways. And I count myself fortunate that I was able to use it on at least one of my online payments. It’s always worked fine until recently. They took away the option to transfer funds which is horrible because we use those funds for the kids stuff. No notice that it was stopping. When we call to ask about it; they can’t find our access code and ask us to call children adoption place which is closed till Monday. Just horrible. Use to be a lot better before.
