### 2/5 — Amazing scanner but needs a lot of improvement.

*2026-08-02*

Tried out the pro for a bit and the scanner is great but it assumed all cards were specific editions instead of scanning those or atleast providing the option of which one it is (i.e. assumes all promos are pokemon center promos and therefore gives that price). Scanning is fast tho but the option to not scan accurately for editions or atleast have us input which one it is really makes me wanna peel away from it.

### 4/5 — Need pitch black expansion update

*2026-07-20, version 1.10.0*

Needs to up date to the latest expansion deck

### 4/5 — Different languages

*2026-07-18*

I honestly think this app is amazing, I love how easy it is to find cards. But I wish their was a way to change the language of the card you are adding, if someone collecting English and Japanese, but only shows market for English than I can add a different language card to a collection or say that I have one.

### 2/5 — Scanning

*2026-07-08, version 1.10.0*

Doesn’t scan all the cards I gave it I gave like 100 and only got 45

### 3/5 — Off on card value

*2026-07-02, version 1.9.5*

This app is great and accurate but it is off on the price on some cards and screw me over on profit and made me lose money

### 2/5 — Hard to use

*2026-06-26, version 1.9.5*

Cannot look at ‘all owned’ collection anywhere. Very tedious to see what I have.

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2026-06-25, version 1.9.5*

Has a lot of potential but the camera is so glitchy on any surface with any background. It takes forever to capture any type of holo so I kept the free version only to realize it doesn’t track prices on the free version and there’s no way I’m paying for a subscription for something that doesn’t work well. Bummed with this app

### 3/5 — It’s a good start but needs improvement

*2026-06-16*

I was curious how much my work in progress master sets of black bolt and white flare were worth and this app helped me gain a rough estimate for sure. I love the quickness with which it scans and its decent accuracy. And the interface is easy to use and understand. But It did struggle scanning Japanese cards despite being set to any language. I had to manually switch to the Japanese setting for it to even pick the card up. And sometimes I’d scan a card and it would read it as a totally different card, and then I’d have to stop and go into the scans and delete it and manually search up the card I was trying to scan to add it to the correct collection. But that only happened like 5 times out of the 300+ cards I did scan. It also just refused to scan the horizontally formatted Break Ex cards I have in my trade binder. The cards are on the app cause I searched for them and they were there but the scanner refused to scan the weird horizontal cards. Also with master setting, I need to be able to include the pokeball and masterball holos and those cards are missing. They scan as the normal or reverse holo. And the app says they only have cards that have a market value on there. But according to TCG player, the pokeball and masterball holos are worth a decent amount of money despite not being an IR. So I know the amount the app is saying the collection is worth right now is not accurate and could be off by a couple 100. I do appreciate the pro version having a lifetime one time fee, so I look forward to seeing improvements and updates done to the app. It’s a really solid start. But because I paid the lifetime fee, I don’t plan on exploring other apps and I hope that this one improves.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for taking the time to write this — detailed feedback like yours is incredibly valuable for a solo developer. Glad the scanning speed and interface are working well for you. The Japanese detection, horizontal BREAK cards, and Poké Ball/Master Ball holos are all great points, and exactly the kind of thing I focus on between updates. If you'd like, send me more details at hello@mydextcg.com and I'll dig into them. Thanks so much for going lifetime — that support means a lot!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2026-06-13, version 1.9.5*

This is a great app, and is pretty easy to use. BUT having to manually add ownership is a pain. It would be nice if ownership was automatically added as you can the cards.

### 3/5 — My experience

*2026-06-01, version 1.9.5*

I have used this app multiple times but I bought a week but it tried to double pay me and did not give me the week subscription when I payed for it.

### 4/5 — Improvements suggestion

*2026-05-08*

I love the UI the only thing I notice was is missing some cards. Let me give you an example. Prismatic evolution have some pokeballs kinds cards and other extra ones that are not included in the set. For more information to improve the accuracy I would suggest getting the etb book that tells you what kind they are. Overall great app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pay to use

*2026-08-13, version 1.10.0*

I like trying different apps I can use to track what cards I have, pricing for them, and keep track of what I’m looking for. I tried to add just my collection of Sprigatito cards and within the first few it completely stopped letting me and prompted me to pay for the full version. I’d rather keep using RareCandy at this point because it’s free and can do all the same stuff

### 1/5 — Should’ve looked into this app first…

*2026-07-03, version 1.9.5*

I really wanted to like this app, and I even purchased the $39 annual subscription because the interface is clean and the card scanner is fast. Unfortunately, the collection management is incredibly frustrating.

After scanning over 300 cards, I discovered that every single card was added with “Owned ×0” instead of automatically counting as owned. This means I now have to manually open or edit every single card just to change the quantity from 0 to 1, and then increase duplicates individually.

The whole point of scanning a collection is to save time. If I scan a card, it should at least default to Owned ×1, or there should be a bulk option to mark all scanned cards as owned. As it stands, scanning hundreds of cards actually creates hours of extra work.

The app has a lot of potential, but this one design decision makes it difficult to recommend, especially for anyone with a large collection. Please add:

* Automatically set scanned cards to Owned ×1 (or make it an option in Settings).
* A bulk edit feature to update ownership and quantities.
* An easier way to manage duplicates.

Until then, I regret purchasing the annual subscription.

### 1/5 — Diabolical

*2026-07-02, version 1.9.5*

Charging $7 a WEEK not a month a WEEK is insane

### 1/5 — Haven’t even used the app yet

*2026-07-02, version 1.9.5*

This is the kind of review you get whenever you ask somebody to review before you’ve ever even use the app

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-06-27, version 1.9.5*

Waste of time stops scanning all of a sudden and does now let you continue to scan wasted my money paying for this unbearable

### 1/5 — Doesn’t scan

*2026-06-16, version 1.9.5*

Doesn’t scan cards, doesn’t recognize

### 1/5 — Looks free but it’s not

*2026-06-12, version 1.9.5*

Another app trying to compete with the collectr app but costs just as much and with half the credibility, no thanks

### 1/5 — Doesn’t value slabs

*2026-06-01, version 1.9.5*

I got this because I thought it would add a value to my entire slab and raw collection. Come to find out it only values raw cards.
I did the upgrade for a year. Pretty disappointed honestly. I reach out and no one responded. Would like my money back. I will not be using this app.

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2026-05-30, version 1.9.5*

Why do I need to buy scans there’s if I could give it zero I would

### 1/5 — Pay to use

*2026-05-02*

You are severely limited to only 5 scans per day for free and its minimum $10 per month to upgrade. Not worth it just to track value of your Pokémon collection.

### 5/5 — No pitch black?

*2026-07-20, version 1.10.0*

Awesome app for seeing the different sets and values, but why is Pitch Black not added yet?

### 5/5 — Wow

*2026-06-14, version 1.9.5*

This app gave me a good scan of a card I had no idea how much it was…. The card turned out being 200$ (mega charizard ex) scanned a bit more and found some more expensive cards!

### 5/5 — Crazy💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

*2026-06-09, version 1.9.5*

Awesome sauce

### 5/5 — Really love the app

*2026-05-27*

I really love this app, I’ve used like 4 different tracking apps so far since getting into collecting around March and this one I could confidently say is my favorite. The UI is super nice and clean. I made the one time payment to unlock all the features of the app since I knew I was going to be collecting seriously and I could say it was worth it. The one thing I will say though is I wish there was a master set view for the progression bar when you are under the ‘expansions’ the progression bar there I’ve noticed doesn’t take into account all the reverse holo variants of the cards. I’m still able to track it and see what I’m missing pretty easily though so it’s too big of an issue. App is a 10/10 from me.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you so much — being your favorite tracking app is the best compliment I could ask for, and I really appreciate you going lifetime. Great point on the master set progress bar counting reverse holos; that's exactly the kind of suggestion that shapes future updates. Any other ideas are always welcome at hello@mydextcg.com. Happy collecting!

### 5/5 — To the other guys review

*2026-05-24, version 1.9.5*

You can’t expect an app to instantly update the day of release, and be accurate on prices etc…take a chill pill my dude, your double digit valued cards can wait.😉

### 5/5 — Good but…

*2026-05-22*

I really like the app, even though it’s missing a few components and does have a few glitches. My biggest complaint right now is it’s the release day of chaos rising and the cards still haven’t updated. I got several packs at pre-events and have just had to sit on the cards because I can’t log them in. For future releases would be nice to see the cards go up when prerelease starts, like other apps

**Developer response:** Hello! Thanks so much for the feedback, and glad to hear you’re enjoying the app. The Chaos Rising expansion was ready and available in the catalog from day one. If you’re a Pro user, you can go to the app’s Settings and manually update the catalog as many times as you want. Otherwise, you can simply wait for the catalog to update automatically every few days.

### 5/5 — Very excellent info

*2026-05-19, version 1.9.5*

Nice

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-05-13, version 1.9.5*

You guys are the best. I haven’t been on here long but so far it’s good thank you.

### 5/5 — Freaking Phenominal

*2026-05-12, version 1.9.5*

Best Pokémon app I have used to date for my TCG needs. 11/10!

### 5/5 — Good app for master sets

*2026-04-29, version 1.9.5*

Good app for master sets for any Pokémon!
