### 4/5 — 8 cameras

*2019-12-29, version 3.8.14*

I’ve used the app for years. It’s useful for a quick check of the cameras and what they are seeing, but the ability to usefully configure the cameras is limited - you must directly log onto the cameras to do this. For what it does, and the fact it is free, it’s not bad. But be prepared for sketchy links when doing the access remotely.

### 4/5 — Always trusted their products

*2019-09-30, version 3.8.14*

I use several items from dlink for years but lately I noticed there have degraded their hardware,I assume they sent 5hem elsewhere to reduce costs but this app works fine for me and they update on reg7lar basis.
I respect their work and hope the old dlink hardware quality returns.

### 4/5 — Deleting

*2018-11-08, version 3.8.9*

I would like to delete whole days rather than each event from the sad card

### 4/5 — Portrait mode!

*2018-10-13, version 3.8.9*

The app works well but is only in landscape mode. It really isn't difficult to include this function and if you devs don't know how to do it let me know and I can teach you how to make it work.

### 3/5 — Annoying

*2018-08-20, version 3.8.8*

We’ve got a dlink webcam set up at our holiday house for security, which was working fine until this latest update was released. Now it has disconnected from the router and it will need re-setting when we are again at the house. This is at least the third time that this has happened, each time coinciding with the release of another update. Annoying!

### 4/5 — Reasonable but room for improvement

*2018-08-11, version 3.8.7*

It works well from phone or tablet and for the price it was worth the 4 camera view instead of connecting to each camera one at a time. You don’t have access to configuring the cameras like you do when using a browser to connect to the IP address directly (and not just any browser either) so I look forward to app enhancement in this area (I have 936Ls). If you just monitor with it then it’s fine.

Oddly, I have problems connecting to cameras in “local mode”. You go between cameras and eventually they connect. Yet, “remote mode” cameras work flawlessly. The 4 camera view isn’t available in “local mode”.

The cloud site sends notification when cameras disconnect (if they all disconnect from 1 site it is usually a sign of power outage) but they don’t send a notice when re-connecting. You could tell how long they were disconnected which is something useful to determine if food has spoiled. Looking forward to that enhancement which I requested.

### 1/5 — ipad view multi camera view interface problems in last update

*2018-07-25, version 3.8.7*

to the programmer/ developers: the “stupid view flip” when in the multi view screen now displays upside down. It used to work correctly using the internal sensors in the ipad for your screen orientation. If your using the “correct orientation” as all ipad cases have “home button” on right side & kickstand then you will get display always upside down. So constant have to pick up and rotate the display. Please delete the unnecessary screen flip animation and USE IPAD MOTION SENSOR as in past release to set screen orientation

### 2/5 — Multi-View Disappointing

*2018-06-27, version 3.8.7*

I purchased the “plus” version of this app specifically for the multi-camera view option. I ended up being very disappointed.
The multi-view feature only works with remote cameras connected to MyDlink. There is no option to use multi-view with local cameras on the same network. Also, in multi-view, you are forced to view all of your remote (MyDlink) cameras. You should be able to select which cameras you want to view as part of the multi-view grid.
Finally, the app times out way too quickly. This is especially true when viewing remote cameras. You then have to reconnect to the cameras in order to resume live viewing.

### 1/5 — Flipping Upside Down

*2018-06-24, version 3.8.7*

Recent update still did not address the flipping upside down problem in multi cam view. Please hire some good people, it will be good for all of us.

### 1/5 — Do the developers ever test these Apps?

*2018-06-15, version 3.8.6*

When using the option to view all your cameras, the App flips the screen upside down.

### 4/5 — One little annoyance

*2018-01-19, version 3.8.5*

Good, works well, simple but reliable, I use it to keep an eye on my house rabbits when I’m out or on holiday. One complaint, do we really have to get the six or seven welcome screens which you can’t X out of every single time you do an update (which is pretty regularly). I know how to use the app, I’ve been using it for years!

### 4/5 — Great product

*2018-01-13, version 3.8.3*

I have been using their wireless cameras for years.

### 2/5 — Doesnt work with Google home

*2017-12-24, version 3.8.3*

Ok app. Works well. But spend some effort and integrate it with google home.

I can buy a ghetto web cam from broad link in china and it works with google. Why not a $180 camera?

### 3/5 — Not bad - not good

*2017-12-08, version 3.8.3*

It works most of the time, it seems to time out a lot particularly for a purchased app. Set up of cams isn't too bad but not exactly dummy proof. Easy to see from inside home network, remote viewing can take a little more effort to get up and working.

### 3/5 — Just so so

*2017-11-17, version 3.8.3*

We used this app for a while, totally it is ok. But we happened a minor issue, it doesn’t matter.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2017-09-01, version 3.8.0*

Unreliable as a baby monitor. On at bedtime but in middle of night will lose communication & no longer be working by morning. Switching back to basic video monitor we once had.

### 1/5 — Can't review my videos from SD ,

*2017-08-07, version 3.8.0*

I only get notifications for movement and sound ... can't review my sd recording ... mydlink lite does the same... don't spend your money here

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No DCS-6100LHV2 Support?

*2025-04-05, version 3.8.16*

DLink website linked to this app, but it didn’t link using the QR code so it looks like they have so many different models that the one I bought it for is not supported. Maybe they should consolidate their support or make that clear. $.99 won’t kill me, but still annoying to buy an app that I can’t use, but I guess DLink got some money, so why would they care.

### 1/5 — End of Service Nightmare

*2023-04-13, version 3.8.16*

Currently I have 20 various DLink products ranging from cameras, alarms, motion detectors, leak detectors, recording devices and wireless outlets collecting dust in my garage because of DLink’s decision to discontinue support and try to get me to upgrade to newer products.

Sorry, you lost me permanently as a customer. I put up with the quirky App and the inconsistent ability to connect for long enough, but I’ll be damned if I will replace these products only to be forced to replace them again in 5 years.

I have since begun to replace the DLink products with Amazon supported products that not only reliably connect but are motor cost effective.

Recently I began shopping for a new router. Guess what brand is off my list?

### 1/5 — Waste of Money - New Cameras Not Supported

*2020-02-27, version 3.8.14*

Tried to get use this with my new cameras because the u-dated app has horrible display limitations. Unfortunately, this better display option won’t work with the new cameras.

### 1/5 — Not consistent!

*2019-05-28, version 3.8.11*

Looses connections, tells me my camera and iPad are not connected to the same network,WHEN THEY ARE, then error goes away on it’s on. Can’t get motion email notifications after following instructions which seem simple.....

### 1/5 — DLink has an very poor web interface.

*2019-04-04, version 3.8.11*

The screen can only be viewed in one orientation. You can only change the password if physically connected to the camera, which is impossible if the camera is 500 miles away. I could go on and on. Software quality would have been considered poor 10 years ago.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2019-02-10, version 3.8.10*

Don’t waste your money. Does not work with camera or iPad
Going to try and get my money back

### 1/5 — Do not waste your money

*2018-12-15, version 3.8.10*

This adds nothing to mydlink home software and my NRV device is found but there is no way to access it with this software. Is this just a way to get people to pay for cloud services... make slightly older equipment unuseable. I would highly recommend that people buy some other system for home security.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2018-09-08, version 3.8.8*

Why can’t you change settings on paid app instead of trying to go online to a website that is not compatible with most newer browsers. App was asking for device password then it just force closed. I was using the lite version because it has more features, but it just kept timing out. Worst service ever for an established company.

### 1/5 — Pitiful App

*2018-08-18, version 3.8.8*

Pitiful app and response to the java problem with certification. Most cams no longer work and you do NOTHING to alert to this or try to fix this. Just sickening lack of responsibility and care for your customers. 1 of 6 cams still work now for me all others have Java certain revoked.

### 1/5 — Multi-camera view

*2018-08-06, version 3.8.7*

Whenever I try to watch my cameras in multi-camera view the screen flips and I have to turn my iPad over. I know it seems minor but I’m right-handed not left. The app has just recently started doing this. Please fix it
P.S. turned on lock rotation and the app overrides the lock still flips can’t believe this. What I really can’t believe is it’s been a month and Dlink hasn’t fix the app. Don’t they read the reviews on their product.

*2017-08-02, version 3.8.0*

Very easy to hook up great for being able to monitor young kids while you're at work and to monitor the house while you're away. Make sure you hardwire the cameras if you have weak wireless Internet or you will be very disappointed they won't connect

### 5/5 — Absolute Rubish

Will not allow you to configure your camera or adjust resolution, total waste of time , delink is not user friendly , return your camera and buy something with easy access total support !
