What was a thinking buying their stupid video recorder!?! I should have just pulled out my wallet and burned my money! Thanks d-link!! I should have seen the signs. ALL their apps have been failing for one reason or another. Add this one to the list! Probably their most known app for monitoring, "D-Link Lite" had been working, but recently it also went to crap, and now it can't be used over cellular - only over wifi. HOW is that supposed to be mobile monitoring?! D-link!! Stop blaming cellular carriers and take responsibility for your software! Users unite!! Contact the Better Business Bureau and your state's attorney general's office and file complaints! I don't see any cameras on any of my screens! So it's fine time d-link be held accountable and get their software fixed! ### 1/5 — Good intention but app is lacking *2017-05-01, version 1.05.01* If you have two or more accounts you want to monitor from the same device, you are out of luck, once you login into one, it doesn't matter if you logout, it will always take you back to the same, and even worse, when logging back in to the other or the same account, you don't need a valid ID or password, as long as the fields are not blank (you can scribble anything), it will log you back in to the initial account. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2017-04-25, version 1.05.01* Out of the other 3 dlink apps, this one is the only one that works BUT only on wifi for me for some reason, even though I'm on LTE and it used to work fine on it before, not sure what happened after the last update. Accessing recorded video is not very user friendly, but after a few attempts you will get used to it. ### 2/5 — D-Link needs to update this app *2017-03-17, version 1.05.01* I bought the storage unit first and still had to buy hard drives to go with it. The app worked great on my Sony Xperia tablet but not on my iPad Pro. The image just freezes. So if I need to review footage I need to do it on my Sony tablet. Glad I kept it. It's a shame, it's a great app. Just not on Apple. ### 1/5 — Impossible Playback *2016-12-02, version 1.05.01* Acceptable for live view but video playback is imposible trough this App. This is not new, I've never had a reliable video playback in my two years having this system. D-Link engineers can you read this??? You feel the same??? Can you fix the problems??? Once I press the function button to view playbacks it freezes. I've had it for a month and literally never been able to view a play back from any platform. It's what I get for going the cheap route. ### 3/5 — Needs work *2016-09-19, version 1.05.01* Wish if camera sensed motion that the mobile notification included a direct link to playback the recorded camera snippet without having to manually open app, enter date and time for playback. Customer support has been nothing but professionally unhelpful, as the latest update ruined the audio output of this app. It also appears that they removed my original review that I posted right after the broken app was pushed out. They say that their engineers are "working on it," but how fracking hard is it to do a simple rollback or even QUALITY TESTING beforehand! Geez! DO NOT BUY D-LINK JUNK THAT USES THIS APP. ### 1/5 — Can't push PLAY, poor quality app *2016-06-21, version 1.04.02* So what developer or group tested this app before releasing it to the App Store? They had to be challenged! No playback if you can't push the Play button in a landscape mode, developer locked out portrait mode, shaking my head, poor quality, poor testing, my teenage some makes better apps. ### 1/5 — The app always crash.. ALWAYS!!!! *2016-04-05, version 1.03.03* I have the security camera and the D-link camera video recorder and the ipad pro. In theory sounds excellent BUT the software its really poor. You can see live video but when you want to see history records the apps it always crash. I tried adding one on My Dlink Lite but when I open this app it won’t respond I tried signing out then signing in again but it didn’t work. Don’t get stuff My Dlink - related ### 1/5 — Dev Just Stopped Caring Apparently *2019-08-16, version 1.06.03* App does not work At All anymore; in fact it stopped working as soon as I got rid of an old iPad from 2012 that hasn’t been updated since iOS-9, which showed me they’ve not updated their app in Quite awhile. Java not supported by most web browsers. iPhone and Andriod phone does not work because they are outdated apps. Worked fine 5 yrs ago on web. Beware of dlink products if you have to use this app. ### 1/5 — Update Release Date *2019-03-12, version 1.06.03* I have spoken to mydlink about there apps bugs and they have notified there app developers about the issues. They said that the next update should be released after the next iOS update which was just released a couple of weeks ago. As far as I know, they told me this months ago. If you are planning on ever getting anything MyDlink Related, DONT GET IT! Mydlink is one of the worst developers out there and the chances of them updating there apps are about 1 out of infinity. This is one of the worst apps on my phone right now and I will try to get them to update this soon! Hang in there guys because the wait will be long! ### 1/5 — No playback feature *2019-02-27, version 1.06.03* The camera works great, good visibility and audio. And blends well. HOWEVER!! It does not playback recorded video. I need that playback. We’ve been robbed three times inside the house and more outside. Please fix this. I need to record. Rarely if ever there is an update or an update that fixes the bugs. App constantly crashes. Crashes when trying to play video, or switch cameras. This has happened with 3 different iphones. I can see a live view perfectly. However, the whole reason the NVR was purchased was for playback. If I play from the IP address solution, it will play just fine. From the app it just keeps loading then eventually just stops or crashes. There is a major flaw with the app playback feature. If I only have the option to view while at home, that defeats the whole purpose of having a NVR that can supposedly playback from anywhere. Please respond. I was getting an odd message for a couple days stating “Error Client doesnt have privilege” which was perplexing and disappointing since I have three NVR units that are still working… well, somewhat working! Impossible to view on any modern internet browsers! ### 5/5 — Mac *2020-05-07, version 1.06.03* Is there an app for my iOS desktop ### 5/5 — Took some work but works fine *2015-12-17, version 1.03.03* Tech support for Dlink is really good and responsive, I've got 4 cameras, 2 PTZ, one wide view and one regular HD. The number of options creates complexity but that's the nature of the beast. I talked to tech support 3 times, never waited more than a minute to get to an operator and my system works fine. I can see it from my office, from my phone or while I'm next to my cameras. My advice to anyone before buying a system is to find the support number and place a call. See what happens, do you get a live operator? How long does it take? Bottom line this is a good system. Service is excellent, don't take my word call. And for the money and number of features I will be buying more. I don't know why there are so many negatives but I've been using Dlink products for years and have had very good luck. 5 stars from a knowledgeable long term customer! ### 5/5 — No Problemo! *2015-09-26, version 1.03.03* Works fine for me. I don't have one myself so obviously this app will not work with my D-Link equipment. I gave this one five stars because the D-Link equipment that I have and it's supporting app work fine. ### 4/5 — Just what I needed! 😃 *2014-12-06, version 1.02.01* I followed all of the directions and did run into some obstacles along the way. I found all the camera and verified them but the app wasn't seeing the cameras. I called D-Link Tech support for assistance. To my surprise their technician was able to get it up and working explaining everything he had to do. I let him access my computer and he did it all. They have a really good support department. Top shelf techs also. Thank You Dlink! 😎 ### 4/5 — Works Perfectly *2014-11-24, version 1.02.01* This app does exactly what it says it will do. If people are having problems it's probably because either the video recorder isn't installed correctly or the camera(s) aren't. I found it quite difficult to install the DNR 202L NVR so emailed support and got an immediate reply and a phone number to call. I was given excellent support and all is running well.
