## What is myDMX GO Classic?

ADJ’s myDMX GO is a revolutionary new lighting control system that is extremely powerful and incredibly easy to use. It combines a uniquely intuitive app-based control surface with a compact interface that connects wirelessly to an iPad and provides a standard 3-pin XLR output for connection to a lighting system.



The myDMX GO app requires zero programming but can be used to create stunning synchronized lightshows across any combination of lighting fixtures. It’s distinctive layout features two FX wheels – one for color chases and one for movements patterns – which each contain eight pre-programmed effects. These can be selected independently, customized (by altering the color palette, speed, size, shift and fan) and combined to create a vast number of different unique effects which can then be stored for instant recall to one of 50 user-defined presets. In a matter of seconds, incredible lighting displays can be easily created that would require hours of programming using traditional control systems.


With an extensive fixture library of 15,000+ profiles, the myDMX GO can be used to control all types of DMX lighting from any manufacturer. It is ideal for use by mobile entertainers as well as for small nightclubs, bars and leisure venues where a simple and easy to use lighting control system is required.

Picked this up as a complete noob and had it up and running with some fun effects within a couple of hours. Takes a bit of playing around to discover how to get the best out of it, but a good experience and looking forward to hitting the road with it.

The only thing it seems to be crying out for is the ability to fade between presets or fade through black/white, currently just a jarring switch between presents which doesn’t matter for a DJ set but for concerts/productions isn’t ideal. Workaround is manually pull the dimmer switch down, change preset then fade back up, but that can be clunky if the iPad screen isn’t responding, would be smoother if 1-click option available.

When it’s working then it’s good but for the last few months it has stopped working on my primary iPad (which it worked fine on for over a year previously) now it says I have not enabled local network access in the app settings, even though I have.

Other problems with it: 
Doesn’t work with UV ON chauvet wash fx 2’s despite me trying every profile available.

Why is it so hard to make your own profile. If I have a fixture which doesn’t have a profile available to download then why the hell do I not have the ability to set my own up manually within the app. This would be such an easy feature to implement and seems like a common sense addition to me!

Sadly I feel like I have wasted £250 on buying this over other products available.

…leider verlieren die gespeicherten Presets bei meinen Scannern immer die Gobos. Habe dann beim Wechsel der Presets immer runde Flächen und keine Gobos mehr. Das nervt. Zudem ist es häufig ein Geduldsspiel überhaupt eine WLAN -Verbindung zum Gerät herzustellen.

There seems to be a lot of haters here. It looks like most of their struggles are not actually the app though. So far it has worked great for me. Using with the ADJ interface and some Chauvet fixtures.
