Mydoh is a money management app for parents and youth aged 6-18 years old. It helps to instill money values for youth that are based on knowledge and practice. With this app, youth learn to make money and take responsibility for their spending, and parents are included in the process every step of the way. TASKS AND ALLOWANCES Parents can set tasks for their youth, check off these tasks when they are done and pay them, all in a few easy steps. Plus, parents can pay their youths’ weekly allowances whether they do chores or not. SPEND WITH THE MYDOH CARD Youth get a digital card as well as a physical card called the ‘Mydoh Smart Cash Card’ which they can use to make purchases at physical stores or online (but not for ATM withdrawals). - With this card, youth take responsibility for their spending, and because it’s a reloadable prepaid card (not a credit card), they can only spend what they have. So, no debts and no surprises! - Youth aged 13 years or older can add their Mydoh card to their Apple Wallet (available for iPhone 6 and above) to make in-store purchases anywhere “Visa” or “Apple Pay” is accepted. - Parents can lock and unlock their youths’ “Smart Cash Card” if they need to, through the app. CUSTOM CARD In addition to the physical Smart Cash Card, Canadian youth can now design and own a custom Smart Cash Card called “Mydoh by Me”. The card costs $6.99 and it can be designed by uploading a photo of choice or a photo from Mydoh’s gallery (plus cool stickers!) and once the design is approved, it’ll be shipped in 5 to 7 working days. First a custom picture was stalled and so it never shipped. When I questioned why, they realized the issue and said it would be sent right away. Another 3 weeks went by and still no card - blamed the carrier service. I have to wait another 3 weeks now so it’ll be 9 weeks total IF it shows up. The customer service is extremely poor, repeats the same AI generic responses. I’ll be looking elsewhere now.
