The app is absolutely terrible. It will find your robot sometimes and then not find it other times. You have to go through unplugging and resetting constantly. The user interface stinks. When it does find your robot, then you go to connected and it will say it can’t find the robot. Absolutely terrible experience. ### 1/5 — Aaron - Disappointed *2025-11-19, version 3.0.4* My dolphin has been intermittently working for years but in the last year hasn’t worked properly at all. It turns on for 10 seconds and just stops. I don’t understand how these are so popular. And the Bluetooth setting and control of cleaner is just a gimmick. And no one from maytronics ever helps!!! ### 1/5 — Dolphin s300i - algo à revoir *2025-08-14* Cela fait plusieurs années et je suis déçu de ce robot. Mêmes remarques que celles faites par mr Deforet. J’ai également une piscine rectangulaire 10x5. - Pas de mise à jour du firmware possible , même par clé usb, et qui permettait au fournisseur de corriger les bugs. Bien dommage. - L’algorithme de parcours de la zone de nettoyage est décevant et à revoir clairement (même en mode fond associé au mode long de 2,5 h) : il reste des endroits où il ne passe pas. Il perd déjà 1/3 de son temps à faire des demi-tours tous les 3 mètres au lieu de finir ses lignes droites. Bien dommage ça. En mode normal il nettoie très mal les parois repassant souvent aux mêmes endroits mais au final 80% de l’espace des parois total n’est pas nettoyé. - il aspire très mal les feuilles au fond de la piscine , et les repousse souvent par déplacement d’eau plutôt que par aspiration. - l’aspiration n’est pas assez forte. - le filtre micron n’est pas assez fin pour aspirer les fines particules; c’est suffisant et bien pour l’ouverture de saison qd la piscine est très sale mais pas ensuite en mode entretien normal. En conclusion je regrette mon achat (900 eur qd même à l’époque) et ne le recommande pas. ### 1/5 — Useless App! *2025-07-21, version 3.0.4* In an endless loop between two different Dolphin apps. Donc j ai repris mon T 45 et je me confronte à sa lenteur , son inefficacité a aspirer , il lui faut deux fois plus de temps de travail que mon ancien robot, et le boulot n est pas bien fait! Judging by the recent reviews I am not alone. When the robot dies I will look elsewhere for a replacement since it doesn’t appear Maytronics is supporting their customers. Pretty disappointing for such an expensive and supposedly premium product. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-06-23, version 3.0.5* The app can see the robot but when you tap into it, always says “try again” ### 1/5 — Worst app invented *2026-06-17* First you download an app, it detects your vacuum, but the app directs you to a different app with 1.7 stars. When I tried connecting my vacuum, it says something about the power supply not recognizing my vacuum. For all the money I spent on this vacuum I would think the company would have a minimally functioning app. I don’t want the developers replying to uninstall and reinstall because that did not work. Think about how many tens of thousands of dollars in potential sales they let walk away because of these reviews. I’ve tried countless ways to troubleshoot but always get the same error that the app can’t detect my robot. With iPhone 12 Pro the Bluetooth connectivity is great with the ability to connect and control from over 10m. ### 5/5 — Works perfectly *2020-05-02, version 3.0.3* Works as expected ### 5/5 — Great cleaner, updated review of the app *2019-06-11* My Dolphin M400 is an excellent pool cleaner in automatic mode. Most of the time that’s all you need. The app gives additional functionality including manual control of the robot if you want to focus on a section of the pool needing more cleaning attention. However the app stopped working this year repeatedly asking for the serial number of the robot but not resolving when entered. Last year my robot needed servicing under warranty and it was successfully repaired. My pool supply vendors who are an authorized repair facility repair the devices but were not able help with the app issue. It took a little while to engage Maytronics support but once involved we went through several troubleshooting procedures. Ultimately they had to re-sync the power supply with the previously replaced robot motor by a configuration at their end and then the app immediately began working again. Now working again I have all features functional with this robot along with its superb cleaning abilities. I thank Alejandro from customer service who assisted me and created a positive experience from a frustrating issue that could only be resolved with their assistance. **Developer response:** Hi Ira - We're glad to hear you're enjoying your Dolphin. But app really lets the dolphin down. It needs to be able to clean for 4-5 hours I think. Sometimes your want it to run during the night and 2.5 hours is not long enough. Specially the people with over hanging trees. Also a notification that’s it’s finish on your phone would be good feature. That way your prompt to go change it and clean it.. Another feature I would like to see is a home for the robot. An area where it sits protected but when timed to run again and clean it will drive 1.5 meters and drop into pool.. Would be a great feature All n all great product ### 4/5 — Clunky but functional *2021-11-29, version 3.0.4* As a tip for those pulling their hair out from Bluetooth connectivity issues while hunched over the power supply - first try deleting the app and reinstalling (or Settings-myDolphin-Bluetooth). iOS added some Bluetooth permissions which may block the app by default if you installed it a while ago.
