When you switch to the suspect email folder the app freezes and you cannot do anything but close the app. This happens over and over again. This app worked perfectly. Then a couple months back it started freezing on email. I restart the app and it refreezes again. I was waiting and hoping for an update. Tired of waiting. That’s fine. But now it won’t let you even access anything without redirecting you to a different app and then making you allow notifications. You can’t reply, unless you type blindly and don’t care if it just suddenly throws your reply away before you can send. When selecting items to move to trash it randomly includes other items. Unable to scroll through trash to see what it put there. Unable to empty trash. Bad! Bad! I can sign in on a pc just fine. I was very happy. However within the last month it’s unusable. Buggy, crashes, gives authentication errors. Whatever you did recently, undo it! CAN’T OPERATE THE BASICS OF AN EMAIL PLATFORM *2026-06-10* I have been with EarthLink for over 30 years. I’d always been unhappy but too cumbersome to switch. But now every time I enter an address I get switched to my address book and can’t get out. I can no longer send an email or forward one. I am reloading the app. I have no confidence that it will be successful so I will probably have to cancel my account and open a new email elsewhere. I will probably lose hundreds of email addresses in thousands of storage emails. Not a happy camper. I don’t need this added burden at this time in my life! I’m very disappointed in EarthLink at this juncture! ### 1/5 — Worst app ever! *2026-06-05* I’m stuck with Earthlink because of a legacy account over 30 years old. Since EarthLink purchased my email address, I’m stuck paying their overinflated prices (for minimal email storage), each and every month. Yet, I complain to them constantly how bad their regular email service is. But this holds no candle to how bad their app is. Just trying to read my emails on my iPhone, the app incessantly freezes and closes out (non-stop). Forget about searching in the app. It freezes on each letter you type in. And the overall speed is on a 1-10 scale? Less than a 1! I spend more time waiting, buffering, or frozen, than I do actually using the app. Tech support is useless. They tell me to delete and reinstall the app. I would think after the 20th time - that isn’t the problem. If EarthLink would just give or sell me my email address, then I would dump them permanently! **Developer response:** We are sorry you had such a poor experience, certainly not what we aim for. Let us make it right. Give us a call and let us know your specific situation. ### 1/5 — App crashing for a couple weeks now *2026-04-21* For 2 weeks, the app has been crashing/ closing a few seconds after I open it. I restarted my phone, I deleted and reinstalled my app, and my software is up to date. I’ve called tech support and they’re useless. I lead off with the issue then I tell them all I’ve done above because those are the first things they tell me to do, and then I should call them back. But since I’ve done all that, they escalate it which means the escalation team has to call me back. Then they call me back in the middle of the day while I’m seeing patients and when I call, they can just leave a message for the escalation team. Been playing phone tag for a week. Today they told me it’s an iPbone software problem but I said then why is the EarthLink app the only app crashing when I have hundreds? Of course they want to pass the Buck! I’ve had EarthLink since May 2000. In retrospect I should have transferred to Gmail 20 years ago. The EarthLink interface is so archaic; looks like websites from 2000 when I started with it. ### 1/5 — Would rate less than one star *2025-11-12, version 5.2* Doesn’t work, completely useless and they aren’t fixing it (or they just have morons for programmers?). During a chat I was left waiting for 20 minutes of radio silence for an agent with no acknowledgement. Then when the agent finally joined he tried to sell me products twice and did nothing to help solve my problem. Contacting an agent by phone was no better. I’m at the point where I’m probably going to have to change email providers. It’ll take a bit since I’ve been using this email for over ten years but it’s not working. Even signing in on the web is difficult. While in the app and signed in, when I navigate between folders, the app appears to reinitialize and takes me to the inbox. During the course of a day, this anomaly happens several times. Previously I was using my browser to access it on my iPad. But, recently, I had nothing but problems signing in ... over an over. With this app, I sign in with my finger and it works very well for me. ### 5/5 — Finally cleaned my Inbox!! *2021-04-23* Been using Earthlink email a count for over 20 years, and ever since being an iPhone user I have synched it to my IOS Mail through the POP function. It was always a bit of a pain because I couldn’t delete messages off of the Earthlink server through IOS Mail, nor could I put them into my Earthlink folders. I’d have to do all that from my computer later, which had the problem that the messages remained in IOS Mail! So I was basically maintaining two separate email libraries, both too large and both disorganized. This app let’s me do all that from my iPhone, and really changed my life!!! ### 5/5 — For listening....thanks and... *2020-06-09* Thank you for listening. It’s gratifying to be heard.
