I think many new users would appreciate detailed videos and text guides covering various situations. Please correct the typo 'Tap below to take stop your zappi from charging' - how can an app be released without adequate proof reading? Some of the other reviews are most discouraging, but I'm finding how to control and set the app little by little. This is where detailed slower videos are needed. ### 2/5 — Complicated *2026-08-13, version 3.13.0* Installed at the recommendation of the solar PV / battery team. I’m nearly a year in and still wrestling with it. The apps for the car, energy provider and Zappi fight each other for charging control unless you get the complicated settings exactly right. It took me about six months and countless tech-support calls. Just when I thought I was there, the router was changed necessitating reconnection. Absolute world of pain. Still not reconnected. May need an engineer visit. I really don’t like this charger. ### 2/5 — Looks pretty but designed poorly *2026-07-29, version 3.13.0* If you just want to plug your car in or see where the energy from your panels are going it’s fine, but it’s little more than window dressing or as Alan Sugar would say ‘a mugs eyeful’. Try setting up a schedule that aligns with a complex energy tariff and then come back and review this app… unintuitive, overly complex and ultimately harder to program than it is in my Audi and i can’t think of a more damming thing to compare it to as Audi software is atrocious ### 2/5 — Ghost Devices *2026-07-24, version 3.13.0* Continually appearing ghost/unrecognised devices. Support have removed them though takes a few days each time. Appears they do not impact bills. However, on removing last ghost battery, continually exporting 6.2kW, my ability to export from Libbi was removed which means I am losing money from my ability to export. Have raised this three times and still not resolved. ### 4/5 — YouTube video and images need updating *2026-07-23, version 3.13.0* I installed the app yesterday when my Zappi EV charger was installed. The app seems to be excellent however setting it up was particularly tricky partly because the set up wizard is not up to date. First the images of the different Zappi charges did not match my Zappi and secondly, the YouTube video assumes there is a separate hub. In Australia with the current Zappi (ZAPPI-2H22TB - T) the ‘hub’ is not separate but an intrinsic part of the Zappi as I understand it. It does not need to be set up separately. I generally did not find the app set up to be at all user friendly. I figured it out in the end but it took a long time. I only took off one star, however, as the app is far more useful than the Zappi screen access to features ### 4/5 — Easy to use but missing a feature I would really welcome in a future update *2026-07-22, version 3.13.0* I use this to manage the diversion of excess solar to my Eddi device to heat hot water using the immersion heater and it works a treat. However as I have time based electricity tariffs it is more beneficial for me to export excess solar to the grid at peak times but I found that the Eddi competes with the export and tries to use it for hot water instead. It would be great if we could schedule ‘stop’ periods in the app as well as ‘boost’ periods so I can make sure the Eddi doesn’t intercept excess solar energy being sold to the grid at peak hours. ### 3/5 — CT Scanner Issue *2026-07-12, version 3.11.12* The myenergie app is ok. It is basic with the Zappie glo compared with the zapper screen version. Not enough ct scanners provided to go with a full solar/battery setup. The app only shows what is coming in and out of the grid. Nothing showing for the solar array or battery. Also the use of the using excess solar not available if a battery is installed. It took 70mins on the phone to your technical support to get it set up and online. Then first charge last night failed after 10kWh. I am deeply unimpressed with your products and service. ### 1/5 — Constant Zappi charger connection issues *2026-06-13, version 3.11.10* I have tried all of the apps and support teams suggested fixes, and it is extremely frustrating how buggy the connection is. ### 1/5 — Poor Support *2026-06-12, version 3.11.10* The products are great BUT the customer support is awful. The people are kind and try to help but it is all by email and it has just taken three weeks to get the App’ onto my new iPhone. The videos are too fast and the instructions do not match the settings on the products. I now have the App’ on my phone but no thanks to the Support which has been tortuous. Why do they make it so complicated? I repeat, the products are really very good BuT do nit expect and help from Customer Support - three weeks is disgraceful. ### 2/5 — Analysis of electricity use is dire *2026-06-12, version 3.11.10* If I knew when I bought this charger what I know now I would have bought a different charger. Can’t believe the associated app is so poor at collating data about electricity useage. Yet again, another British company manufacturing a decent product letting itself down with a poor App. Why can’t you store the source and useage data for more than 2 months. It would cost you nothing to store all recorded data on the iPad or iPhone etc. Two months is dire in today’s data economy. Take a leaf from your competitors, usually the Chinese who run rings round you when producing Apps. ### 4/5 — Deepak *2026-06-11, version 3.11.10* Very useful app ### 2/5 — Recent issues after latest update *2026-06-09, version 3.11.10* The app shows devices are offline and there is a virtual hub conflict. This is despite no changes to my hardware setup. It also shows a previous Zappi which was replaced after it became faulty. The web-based portal doesn’t allow me to remove this old device, which I think may be causing the hub conflict. Customer support has deteriorated. ### 4/5 — Mostly works well *2026-05-26, version 3.11.9* Most of the time it works well. However currently it refuses to stay on eco and frequently defaults to eco+ which is annoying as it then refuses to charge until the house battery is full. Occasionally it throws other errors, particularly Internet connection requiring a reboot to get it going again. The timed boost overnight is good. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-08-09, version 3.13.0* Iv had this charger for 2 years now and every few months the scheduled charging fails. It always starts but then fails to stop meaning I wake up to massive bills as my car has continued to charge outwith my low cost tariff. The customer service is completely useless, the online support must be 100% Ai with no resolution ever offered. I have tried every reset, uninstall, software update, wifi reconfiguration there is. Now I need to set my car batteries to a certain % charge so the car now stops the supply. The issue with the charger means I don’t dare take one of the “intelligent” EV tariffs on offer. AVOID THIS BRAND ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2026-08-06, version 3.13.0* Considering the tech this “should” be supporting, this app is appalling! To change charging schedules is a nightmare, no details on costs of charging despite supplier/ tariff details put in! The app seems unable to handle it so that at times the efficiency drops, then the zappi, sometimes all. The solar panels also tend to disappear so daily totals are an incorrect mess. Any chance for a system upgrade? ### 1/5 — Tariff and boost function. *2026-07-06, version 3.11.12* For Australian customers the boost function is rubbish only allowing eight hour increments. It means you have to put in multiple boost options to try and match your tariffs and because it doesn't offer tariff support the maximum eight hour increments limit the available boost time it'd be better if it had a be time clock option where off peak and peak power times could be put in for car charging. Highly recommend this system so you can see where the electrons are going at all times. ### 5/5 — Excellent app *2026-07-16, version 3.12.0* 4.5 years on, still great. 3 years on. This is one of the best, most reliable & responsive apps I have. Logs on immediately when I open the app. No lag between iPad and iPhone. Just does what it claims. Brilliant! I have had the app for about 18 months now & can only say how very pleased I am with it. In the early days it had some teething problems but the excellent team at Myenergi were very helpful & sorted out all the issues. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, the latest update has rendered the Eddi unusable. It sits there waiting for surplus but never jumps to action.
