All push notifications comes without sound even when sounds settings are on. 2. You can’t create QR code for visitors inside App. It’s available on website only. 3. If you have more than 1 guest coming at a time, be ready for up to a few minutes per person wait time. The line will grow. Need camera footage, your community has to pay every time, and that is if the camera is working at all. This is what the builder installed. There are many better options out there. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — “Extremely Disappointed with Envera’s Service” *2026-08-14, version 3.6.0* As a resident of Portofino Meadows, my experience with Envera’s service has been extremely disappointing. Over the past several months, especially on weekends, the gate has repeatedly remained completely open, which is very concerning for residents because this service is supposed to provide proper access control and security for our community. When the gate is operating, the experience is still far from satisfactory. We have experienced lines of up to 20 minutes because operators do not respond, fail to properly read visitors’ IDs, or take too long to process entries. We have also had very unpleasant experiences where some operators have laughed at our visitors’ names, which I find extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Envera needs to seriously review the quality of service being provided to Portofino Meadows. We pay for an access control service that should be efficient, professional, respectful, and reliable, and unfortunately, that is not the level of service we are currently receiving. I sincerely hope this review reaches the people who can take action and finally address these ongoing issues. ### 1/5 — 4.7 | Really? *2026-04-25, version 3.6.0* It’s almost hard to believe that this app has a 4.7 rating. Unless of course, the rating itself only applies to the functionality of the actual app, which is fine I guess. But the Envera service is riddled with problems. We’ve used it in our community for 10 years. In theory, and on paper, a virtual guard, which is the main concept of Envera sounds. But in practice, it just slows down our gate system and doesn’t actually provide any additional security. There are too many workarounds and loopholes. ### 1/5 — Worst App of All Time *2026-03-25, version 3.6.0* Don’t create QR codes. I could vibe code a better app. Backend doesn’t match the UI at all. You delete a phone number and it’s still in their backend system. Now there is no way to do that. You have to delete them and then rewrite them onto the Deny list. It’s stupid. It makes it more difficult. The Approved and Deny lists are in different sections of the app now. Please put it back to being together and easy to find and change. The gate kiosk rarely ever works properly. People on the Permanent list can’t get through the gate. My family has spent hours on the phone with customer service over the years and nothing ever gets resolved. All my visitors complain about issues at the gate.
