I am able to text her and she can respond with voicenotes. She loves to listen to the music and get rewarded for her steps. It does the job really well. The calls are clear, and I like being able to check her location. The camera works nicely for video calls and even takes pretty good pictures. Setting up the GPS took me a little time, but now it works fine. Battery life isn’t the best with GPS always on, but since we charge it every night, it hasn’t been a big problem. My daughter loves the fun features like the step counter and taking silly selfies. The strap is soft, comfortable, and she wears it all day without complaints. Honestly, it gives me peace of mind, and she feels so grown-up having it. She even tells everyone that they should get the same watch, which I find cute. There are no games just basic calls and texts, which I as a parent I like. My daughter doesn’t have a phone or any other way to reach her, so this and the GPS feature is the real highlight. It lets me keep track of her. It was to easy to use for her. Another thing I appreciate is the control over contacts, anyone who wants to get in touch with her has to use the companion app, so I can decide exactly who she can communicate with, which is another peace of mind. Doesn’t have a ton of features for kids, but for parents looking for safety, easy communication, and location tracking, it does the job well. I don’t like to pay for a subscription. ### 3/5 — Not intuitive! *2025-08-23* It is hard to scroll with the large fonts and it does not have easy to setup. It is very slow sometimes which makes kids frustrated. They think that it is not working and sometimes power button does not wake up watches. It should also give kid notification ahead of time to recharge. Lots of issue on the app. They require to improve lots of things on it. ### 1/5 — 3年間騙し騙し使ったが、ほんとイヤになる。 *2025-08-06* もともと、繋がったり、繋がらなかったりしていた最初から付いていた専用のSIM。 全然使えない時があったので2024年ごろ安いHISモバイルに試しに乗り換えてみたところ、安定した上にGPSも感度が上がりすごい良かった。電話番号もついてて早く変えればよかったと思いました。 (でも信用できないGPSなのでAirTagを使用しています。) しかし、最近のアプリアップデート後から、電話しか使えない。メールやテレビ電話ができない事象がおこり、サポートに問い合わせたところ、HISモバイルのSIMは非対応になりサポート対象外と言われました。。 そんな急にアナウンスもない、何か特別なアップデートがあったわけでもないのに、非対応って。。 電話はできるので、アプリケーションの問題だと思います。 ほんとに、不安定な商品で、 今回は子供を1人で公共のバスに乗せるタイミングでのメール不通。。。 まだ水色のアプリの時はよかったです。 新しいアプリに変わってから、サークルのSNSみたいなシステム使ってる子いるの？ってくらい使わない。音楽聞かない。 同じ時間にセーフゾーン設定できない。(子供って毎週同じスケジュールな訳ないです。) 騙し騙し3年間使ってみて、今回はほんと買わなきゃよかったと思いました。 親的にはGPSがしっかり使える。 ちゃんとメールが届く、電話がいつでも繋がる必要があるからこちらの商品を買ってるんです。 こちらの商品は時々通話できる高い子供のおもちゃです、ちゃんとした端末じゃないです。 ディズニーなどのテーマパークではぐれた時ように持たせた時も、通話が途中で切れたりしていました。 時計型なら見逃さないかなと思って購入しましたが、アップルウォッチや、子供ケータイを契約した方がいいです。 全くおすすめしません。 お子様の安全のために購入する親御さんの為に、私と同じ間違いをしないでほしいので ちゃんとアプリのレビューもみてほしい気持ちで、ここに率直な意見をかきました。 とにかく、不安定な端末です。 ### 1/5 — ヒヤヒヤした *2025-08-02* 子供が迷子になったタイミングでアプリがメンテナンスになり、もうひとりの子どもが持つマイファーストフォンから電話するも音信不通。10分後くらいに子どもが戻ってきて無事を確認できましたが本当に肝が冷えました。開通のタイミングから不誠実な対応を何回もされて安心のために買ったはずなのに安心どころか不安になることばかりなので子供の安全のために購入するのは絶対おすすめしません。私も高いのに全く使えないし余計不安になるものを買ってすごく後悔してるし残念な気持ちです ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor support for the myFirst ecosystem *2026-08-23, version 4.1.1* My experience with the myFirst ecosystem has been extremely disappointing. After a firmware update, the camera on my son’s myFirst Fone R2 stopped working completely. I followed every troubleshooting step requested by myFirst, provided video evidence and proof of purchase, and their support team confirmed in writing that the watch would be replaced. They even requested my shipping address to send the replacement. They later reversed that decision and ultimately refused to replace the defective watch because it had been purchased through Walmart, despite already knowing this when they approved the replacement. Their proposed solution was to return to Walmart or use a 30% discount to spend more money buying another myFirst watch directly from them. For a connected children’s watch that relies on an app, firmware and ongoing manufacturer support, customer service is an important part of the overall experience. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with very little confidence in the myFirst ecosystem or its after-sales support. ### 1/5 — My first frame. The battery report thru my app is inconsistent as it said there is 84% battery but the watch actually have less than 5%. The network signal is kind of weak for video calling out and about. The service fee was reasonable but I wish there are other service provider that would provide better speeds. The battery consistently lasted for the days and the limited app which is good for the battery. Location seem to be reasonable as well and within 10 feet, still definitely need to keep an eye on the little when out on the mall. Overall, there is still improvement to be made to earn that fifth star but since it's so affordable especially for a toddler, I would bump it up half a star. This was the perfect answer for that. He can call people on a set list of contacts, (mom, dad, grandparents) and also message, and voice message. Lastly, he can also do video calls which is something no other smartwatch does! It is VERY neat. It works pretty well for our use case and my son loves all the neat little tweaks he can do with it to customize his experience. Battery life seems to be pretty good as he sets it on the charger before bed and then puts it on in the morning. All and all this is a great "first phone" for a kid.
