## What is MyFollowApp Pacemaker?

Keep an eye on your heart rate for pacing!

The MyFollowApp Pacemaker monitors your heart rate in real time and alerts you via vibration if you approach or exceed your personal limit.
Particularly helpful for people with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), which frequently occurs in ME/CFS and Long Covid.

The MyFollowApp Pacemaker helps you to continuously monitor your heart rate during activity and consciously manage your exertion.

PACING
For many people with ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) or Long Covid, so-called pacing is a central component of energy management. The aim is to avoid overexertion and not to permanently exceed one’s individual exercise threshold. By consistently adhering to this threshold, it can recover and increase over time.

Heart rate plays an important role for people with POTS. This autonomic dysfunction often leads to a sharp rise in heart rate during exertion or even just when standing up. ME/CFS, Long Covid and POTS frequently occur together. That is why it makes sense to keep an eye on your heart rate in everyday life and during activity.

The MyFollowApp Pacemaker helps you to:
• better adhere to your exercise limit
• recognise overexertion earlier
• implement your pacing in daily life
• better balance activity and recovery

HEART RATE PACING
The app continuously measures your pulse during a session and shows you your current pulse range at all times.

Features:
• Continuous heart rate/pulse measurement
• Display of current heart rate zone
• Individual heart rate limit for pacing
• Timer for time spent above the heart rate limit

ALARM
The app works even without sound.
If you exceed your pulse limit, your Apple Watch will notify you via haptic vibrations. This allows you to reduce your exertion immediately without having to constantly look at the display.

A timer also shows how long your heart rate has been above the defined limit.

OPTIONAL
The MyFollowApp smartphone app, currently under development, offers additional features in conjunction with the Watch app:
- Heart rate recording
- HRV analysis when using an external heart rate sensor
- Analysis of data alongside other information such as diary entries, activity, etc.
