### 2/5 — Closed while adding meal data

*2025-09-10*

Downloaded and tried to use but app closed multiple times while entering meal info and gave general error when I attemted to snap photo of meal.

Not making me feel great about it…

### 1/5 — Too wonky

*2025-01-12*

Sometimes it lets me login, sometimes it doesn’t. When I am able to log in, app shuts down.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Abbott can’t figure out how to support this app.

*2026-02-17*

I tried for weeks to work with Abbott customer support to get my Libre credentials to work with the my freestyle app. They have NO IDEA how to support this app. If I could give a zero or negative star rating I would.

### 1/5 — Did not sense I already had sensor installed

*2026-01-29*

…did not show sensor data already available on my phone in sensor app

### 1/5 — Crashes on meal snap

*2025-12-02*

Crashes when I try to use the only feature I installed it for, the meal carbs photo estimate tool. My phone is a fine modern iphone

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2025-11-29*

Huh. I just created a new password via email and their website and I still can’t log in. So I guess the app isn’t very useful.

### 1/5 — Dangerous app

*2025-11-21*

I’m so concerned with how this app calculates carbs. If anyone on insulin is considering using this, run! They estimated my meal as 87 carbs when it was only 30. Good thing I actually know how to calculate carbs and had the wherewithal to know the difference.

### 1/5 — I agree with Casadeglucose

*2025-11-15*

This app is broken. I wasted over an hour entering my meal and then trying to figure out how to see the entry so I could edit the time. I can’t find it anywhere. I am not sure why Abbot would put out a broken app when the Freestyle Libre 3 is so awesome. What a shame and a waste of time.

### 1/5 — Nutrition Database Needs Work

*2025-10-30*

The app does not allow barcode scanning which is a major gap and the first thing i manually entered was off by 3x - Icelandic Provisions Cold Brew Coffee Skyr? I need to stick with Myfitnesspal for now. I love this is a free app and the recipes and suggestions aren’t found in other apps specific to blood sugar control. Please fix the nutrition details.

### 1/5 — Should be called “my waste of time style”

*2025-08-30*

app doesnt work - responded to an email inviting me to download (a wellness companion app to the libre 3 app) - instructions were to use credentials for libre system app to sign in - attempted and got notice: “access only by email invitation” … uhhh- that is exactly how i knew about and downloaded app …. called 3 different times to libre - no one had a clue how resolve the issue (even the dedicated line to the free style app) - a total waste of my time (and abbott obviously has money to burn paying to create an app that has no support staff/info and that i have now deleted

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-07-25*

Says to login with my regular Libre login but it does not work. Yes, I’ve verified my username and password multiple times.

### 1/5 — Hard to setup

*2025-01-25*

It asked for a confirmation number that’s never supplied to you. Called Technical Support no resolution.

### 5/5 — So much more that an simple glucose reader

*2026-02-21*

I am new to diabetes and pricked my finger a couple weeks. It gave me an instant reading but I had to guess why there were spikes. The app shows me my trends and also does a great job of interpreting my food and compares to my glucose level up to 2-3 hours after to tell me if the food had a minor/moderate/major impact on my glucose. The app is a gem!

### 5/5 — Great Free App

*2025-09-03*

This is a great, FREE app that provides a lot of benefits that other similar apps (calorie counting) apps charge for. Good for anyone to use whether you have diabetes or just want to track your calories and protein. The picture AI works well, but will never be perfect (no other one is) but love the way you can edit your meal postings and ingredients. Great, simple way to track calories. I also believe this is new and look forward to future updates

### 5/5 — MyFreeStyle

*2025-01-30*

Like the program. It goes so nicely hand-in-hand with my Libre 3 sensor.

### 4/5 — One thing missing.

*2025-07-31*

This version replaced an older version which gave useful information on the last three sensors used. Without this information I cannot get a faulty sensor replaced. If this is corrected it is a good app.

### 3/5 — Good App, But Needs Better Sensor Sync and Integration

*2025-10-17*

Overall, the app is helpful for logging/tracking meal data and educational for managing diabetes, but there are a few issues that could be improved. After replacing my sensor, the app didn’t automatically recognize the new one, even though the replacement was successfully activated. It would be great if this process updated seamlessly without requiring extra unsuccessful troubleshooting.

Another major improvement would be integrating CGM readings and data directly into the MyFreeStyle app, instead of relying on separate apps for full functionality. Combining everything into one place would make tracking, trend analysis, and data sharing much smoother and more user-friendly.

If these syncing and integration issues are addressed, this app could easily become a five-star tool for managing glucose monitoring.

### 3/5 — Meal logs

*2025-10-01*

Trying it out. I use the 3Plus. I added meals and I can see it on the nutrition screen when I add it. But once I leave the nutrition screen I have been unable to bring up my logged meals. Also how do I use this information? Does it link to the libre app and how does that linked data show up in a useful form there? In this app, Is there some type of screen in the app that shows a time GMI or glucose levels with events marked on the chart when they occurred?

### 3/5 — Mostly non-functional

*2025-09-28*

The concept behind this app far exceeds the actual functionality. It’s like someone had a good idea for integrating the Freestyle Libre CGM into a healthy lifestyle guide, but the app developer couldn’t quite do it. The app doesn’t function as advertised and many errors show up. That said, it does a great job scanning and identifying meals, as well as caloric and carb estimations.

### 2/5 — Daily nutrition

*2026-01-07*

This app’s useful has disappeared now that I cannot see my daily nutrition totals. That aspect of the app disappeared after the last IOS update. Please fix the app.

### 2/5 — Meal tracking

*2025-12-26*

When I read the email about the improvements for meal tracking, I tried it. It really not what I expected. I logged meals but it doesn’t show up or give any insight about the meal. I still need to use two apps. Actually 3 because the sensor doesn’t interact or is not integrated with this which I hope will change in the near future.

### 2/5 — Meals tracking not working

*2025-12-02*

The app allows you to log meals but you can’t pull them up to do a end of day tally. Not very helpful.
