### 3/5 — Mostly works.

*2026-08-19, version 2.23.0*

I have to open and close the app twice to get it to load. I wish my children’s phone location would auto refresh when the app is opened. It works but could be better.

### 2/5 — Gabb Tip Pop Up

*2026-08-08, version 2.22.2*

Is there any way to get the Gabb Tip pop up to have an option to click out of it? Every time I open the app, the Tip pops up and then I can’t use the app.

### 2/5 — Just ok, but not great

*2026-08-08, version 2.22.2*

I love the idea of the Gabb watch, but it doesn’t work very well for the primary purposes that I have it. I wanted to be able to keep an eye on where my kids are in real time, and be able to contact them easily, but without constantly calling and harassing them. The first problem is that the location does not update well at all. I’ll get a notification saying my kid left a safe zone, but when I open it up, it shows his location 15 minutes ago. I push “refresh” and it doesn’t refresh. The other problem is that often, the texting doesn’t go through immediately. I’ll send my kid a text, then 2 hours later when he’s home sitting next to me we hear his watch ding, and it’s my text from two hrs earlier. The calls usually go through, and I can reach them that way, but it’s frustrating. The step tracker is not accurate at all. This is unimportant to us, but if that’s a feature you’re looking for, look elsewhere. My younger son is at 216,000 step this morning. It never resets and doesn’t actually keep track well anyway. I would recommend keeping an eye out for a deal on another option. The price might be ok, but it doesn’t work well enough to even be worth that.

### 2/5 — Gabb Tip on screen

*2026-08-08, version 2.22.2*

There is this ‘Gabb Tip’, referring to your child being connected to WiFi, that will pop up on the parent app and you cannot close it or see your child’s location. This has been going on for weeks. I have to uninstall the app for it to just work briefly and then pop up comes back on. I’ve called tech support and still not resolved. I can’t be the only person this is happening to.

### 4/5 — Love the watch

*2026-07-29, version 2.22.0*

It is perfect for mom’s peace of mind and 10 year old’s growing need for freedom and responsibility. I wish I could force turn it on or off from my phone.

### 2/5 — Add a search engine

*2026-07-24, version 2.21.0*

You need to add a search engine so a kid can look up a question but you can pun controls

### 2/5 — Watch is so so

*2026-07-23, version 2.21.0*

Overall the watch is adequate for its purpose. But, battery life is pretty bad doesn’t even last a full school day and whatever the most recent update was made the keyboard on the watch even smaller than it already was so now nearly impossible for our daughter to text. Not sure if this is the best option for us anymore.
Customer service has been decent, hence the 2 stars.

### 2/5 — Just ok, but not great

*2026-07-07, version 2.20.0*

I love the idea of the Gabb watch, but it doesn’t work very well for the primary purposes that I have it. I wanted to be able to keep an eye on where my kids are in real time, and be able to contact them easily, but without constantly calling and harassing them. The first problem is that the location does not update well at all. I’ll get a notification saying my kid left a safe zone, but when I open it up, it shows his location 15 minutes ago. The price might be ok, but it doesn’t work well enough to even be worth that.

### 2/5 — DO NOT BUY

*2026-06-18, version 2.18.1*

Do not buy from them. They are the worst company to work with. Phones are cheap and they don’t work. when you try to get a refund they give you the run around.

### 2/5 — Poor location update

*2026-06-14, version 2.18.1*

This use to be great but now it is rarely accurate and constantly showing the phone in places it is not at.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-05-29, version 2.17.0*

The software the phones, the service all garbage.

### 3/5 — Tried to make it work for too long.

*2026-05-12, version 2.17.0*

After 2 kids and 5 watches, I’m done. The watches are poor quality. The software glitches out. I’m tired that when I want the tracking, it all of a sudden can’t update a location. I don’t advise the watches if you have kids that like to be physical. I can’t trust this product.

### 1/5 — Terrible watch

*2026-05-02, version 2.17.0*

We just hit over the two year mark and have had to have two watches. The first one completely stopped working and had an error code so Gabb sent us a refurbished watch. Initially it worked decently and now the battery doesn’t even last not even last two hours. Gabb has now told us we need to buy a new one. We are going to pay out our contract and try out the Ticktalk5 watch. It has way better reviews.

Reply to Gabb:
We already spoke with a Gabb representative and were told wed have to buy a new one. Like I said above, we are going to give Ticktalk5 watch a try.

### 1/5 — Absolutely trash

*2026-05-01, version 2.17.0*

Gab is trash. My daughter tried to send a picture of her a smoothie to her friend, but it wouldn’t let her because apparently it had harmful content in it a smoothie. Yes, you read that right a smoothie they’re blocking system is terrible. I took a picture of my son in swim trunks and tried to send it to my daughter and it blocked it because I don’t even know why Absolutely trash never make a recommend oh and I only put one star because I had to put a star, but if I could, I would put zero stars -1,000,000.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2026-04-25, version 2.16.0*

I’ve had these watches for over a year and the app has worked correctly about 1/3 of time. It doesn’t update my kids locations, the battery percentage available, and half the time i can’t make calls to them. Absolute waste of money

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2026-04-25, version 2.16.0*

We’ve had the gabb app and gabb watches for several years. There’s always been a some issues with location, but it has gotten so much worse. It won’t update my kids’ locations or battery charge level of their watches from MONTHS ago (my son is 2 months the ago, and daughter’s is 4 months). I try to uninstall the app and sign back in, and it won’t update to even link to my kids watches. I can still call and text them, but the app is just totally worthless now.

### 1/5 — endless loop when trying to add a device.

*2026-04-17, version 2.16.0*

Terrible product. Endless loop when set up. I am going to return it

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-04-10, version 2.15.0*

Great at telling me where my child was for 45 minutes seven hours ago. No amount of refreshing finds my child. If developers were really sorry or really cared they’d actually fix this garbage app and Gabb would stop selling a service they can’t provide.

### 1/5 — Possibly the worst app ever

*2026-03-30, version 2.15.0*

The app and the watch are terrible. Randomly unpairs, claims to be up to date but most of the apps within the watch don’t work or load anymore. Everything is up to date - my app, the watch software and firmware. Save your time, money and sanity and just buy an Apple Watch. What a joke.

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2026-03-28, version 2.15.0*

Location does not always update. At the moment my son’s location hasn’t updated for a day and yes his phone is on and still has charge. So disappointing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-08-10, version 2.22.2*

I regret buying a Gabb phone. I am not able to use the parental contacts control and now the app is not moving past a WiFi screen. I have already spent close to 3 hours with tech on the initial issue. After troubleshooting a myriad of things, they say I’m stuck in the middle of a software migration they are doing. I won’t recommend Gabb to anyone.

### 1/5 — App and customer support are horrible

*2026-08-05, version 2.22.2*

We’ve had a gabb watch and phone for 4 years now. Most experiences we have had have been awful! Customer service is the absolute worst. I have stuck with Gabb because of some of the safety features but I think I am done at this point. It is EXPENSIVE monthly compared to adding kids to a regular plan w Verizon, t-mobile, or at & t. The app sucks as well!! The past week every time I try to “locate” my daughter it goes to a pop up and you have to close the app and go back in and it happens over and over. We have tried to send a sound from the app the past month to find her phone and that never works either. And forget about getting help from customer service. The guy I dealt with was so dang rude and not helpful in the slightest. For how much people pay, the app should be much better and so should customer service.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-07-31, version 2.22.0*

I just got this watch and it is so glitchy. Trying to get customer support is impossible. If I take time to go through the steps to fix it, they close the chat and I can’t get it back. I’m ready to return this watch. For the amount I paid, I can’t believe how frustrating it has been. I spent more time trying to fix it than actually using it

### 1/5 — Flagging every single photo

*2026-07-08, version 2.20.0*

Any photo showing more skin than a face & hands is being flagged. Summertime and kids are in shorts and tanks and groups of friends are being flagged. Innocent photos are being flagged and understandably my child now hates the Gabb phone.

### 1/5 — Terrible Tech Support

*2026-07-07, version 2.20.0*

Do not trust them. Tech support consists of long hold times and no solutions.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-07-03, version 2.15.0*

So I guess I have to buy a expensive new phone just to download the app. ;(

### 1/5 — Not efficient!

*2026-06-28, version 2.20.0*

We went from the watch to the phone. I’m disappointed with the lack of parental control that the app provides for the phone. With the watch, I was able to lock it at bedtime. I have to remember to take the phone at night so my kid isn’t using it after bedtime. The GPS IS HIGHLY INACCURATE. I get alerts that my kid has left a safe zone, whole time she’s still there. The messenger app automatically signs me out throughout the day, so I miss video calls regularly. I have to sign back in to return each call. Overall, there’s very little control for the parent and it will not allow you to connect to Google parental controls which is far better. You’re better off with a regular phone and using the provided parental controls for that device. I am in search of a better company.

### 1/5 — Great idea, many issues

*2026-06-18, version 2.18.1*

I love that my children do not have access to the internet but can still contact me if we are not together.. however this doesn’t always work. Often calls will fail for no reason. I add contacts and they don’t show up on the phone and the gps is inaccurate and rarely does it notify you if they leave the set safe areas. For example right now my daughter is in a safe zone but the app shows her about a half mile away from that area… that could really alarm a parent- except I’m sure she is safe- what if I wasn’t?! I do it need extra worry!!! I spent over an hour with customer service.. they were very nice but the issues were not resolved. Unfortunately there is a contract.. once that is up -unless things improve-I will switch to the other similar provider.

### 1/5 — Good in theory but doesn’t work

*2026-06-10, version 2.18.1*

We’ve tried the Gabb phone for over a year now and it’s just not working. In theory it sounds amazing and I wish it worked but the technology has sooo many issues. Nothing works the way it should. Location updates are VERY delayed so defeats the whole point. Phone won’t work well if it’s not on our wifi-again defeats the whole point. I wanted a super simple phone so my child could go be with friends in the neighborhood and I could still reach her or see where she was for safety. It doesn’t work when she’s doing that. They advertise that you can download parent approved apps but it’s only the ones they have preloaded. Ones that I approve and want her to have are not available. I didn’t want to get a real phone yet but we are going to have to.

### 1/5 — Nothing ever works right

*2026-06-03, version 2.17.0*

I wish I had never gotten this Gabb phone. What a waste of money and hours and hours because the apps don’t work right. Can’t add contacts easily, the maps don’t work…just junk all around.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Customer support

*2026-02-21, version 2.12.0*

After struggling to get my watch working and spending time with customer support, I reached out to an employee who I knew worked at gabb and they helped me in about 2 minutes in after hours on a Saturday. Alex is an exceptional employee and doesn’t even work in customer service, he works in the product department. He even helped more than ChatGPT!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-02-09, version 2.11.0*

Great app

### 5/5 — Just like magic caught my cheating spouse

*2025-12-18, version 2.10.0*

This is a very good app. I have never seen a more reliable private investigator like( Hacklord04er @ Gmailcom., His service is very effective and resourceful with his help I was able to remotely access my partner's cellphone and the activities in it, I was monitoring her and she didn't even know about it because the service was remote in nature and totally untraceable, with a shot time I was able to catch her red handed cheating on me, thanks to Micheal for helping me to uncover the truth.

### 5/5 — Great product, great app

*2025-03-30, version 1.38*

Love the watch and the app—both are easy to use

### 5/5 — The best watch

*2024-12-26, version 1.37*

It is great for young kids and you can see their location. It is the best watch I’ve bought. I recommend this watch. my kids love it.

### 5/5 — Location & phone finder

*2024-12-16, version 1.37*

The location finder and the phone finder have not been working a couple of months or more. I tech-support and they just can’t help me. No one can help me. So I have to call her to know where she is and they still give me the same bill. help me Gabb.

### 5/5 — A phone that has grown with my sons

*2024-07-24, version 1.34*

I got my 3rd born son a Gabb phone when he was 15, when he began driving. His two older brothers had flip phones and liked them just fine. My 3rd son is not tech savvy at all, so the touch screen and ease of use of the Gabb phone was perfect for him. When my 4th son turned 14, we went ahead and got him a Gabb phone, too. As the new models rolled out, we upgraded their phones. My sons are now 21 and 17 and still use their Gabb phones. They recently upgraded to the Gabb 4. They have no desire to get iPhones because they see what a time drain they can be for most people. They are happy with the apps and usefulness of their Gabb phones. They will probably continue using Gabb as long as the product remains affordable and meets their cell phone needs. They may be Gabb’s oldest customers!

### 5/5 — Gabb Watch

*2024-02-07, version 1.29.7*

I purchased the Gabb Watch3 for my eight-year-old. I was indecisive between the Gabb and another competitor brand & boy am I glad I went with the Gabb. It has exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love that being able to track my son can give me peace of mind, but also give him a sense of relief, knowing that he can reach me and my husband at any time which has made date nights more frequent. I also love how durable the watch is, which is great for my super active son and I like the notification I can get on my phone for the watch. I would definitely recommend it to any parent who is looking for something great and functional for their child.

10/10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Love this watch

*2023-07-10, version 1.26.2*

I got the watches for my boys who were 10 at the time. We have had them for a year and they are great! I love that they have a way to contact me when they aren’t home and I feel a more at ease that they have a phone when they are out without me. Plus, I don’t have to worry about them being on it all the time like their friends and getting distracted by apps or internet. It also has a way to track them which is very important and useful for parents to have. We have not had any problems with the watch other than that it sometimes doesn’t connect to charge but that is an easy fix as it is because dirt particles get into the back. You just need to blow on it or use a wet one.

### 5/5 — Best kids phone and smart watch phone option

*2023-03-08, version 1.25*

Love having the Gabb watch phones for my kids! It totally gives me peace of mind knowing where my kids are, and being able to contact them anytime I need. We live in a neighborhood where the kids are always going from house to house, and it’s perfect when they check in, or we can quickly call them home.

We love the safe zones option on the watch, because we can quickly set up zones (neighborhood, school, theme park, etc.) and we will get notified whenever they enter or leave that location.

They also have GabbGo, which is a great way to help your kids be active and get chores or (tasks) done. They then can earn fun little animals on their watch that they take care of and get new little moves. Super motivating!
