Increased security is not an excuse for the app to connect to a two state website login to then take you to the general council services page. Clearly they just want this to be hard. Also why are all of my service requests closed immediately? Stop closing them until you fulfill them. You’re useless. ### 1/5 — blue badge scheme *2025-08-11, version 8.3.5* 1+ years waiting ! yo date i still do not have my blue badge i have put in a formal complaint ? no no avail! can someone in there, with at least one brain cell ! get back to me yet again . ### 3/5 — trees and bushes *2025-07-18, version 8.3.5* There is nowhere on the environmental section to report trees or bushes yet it’s the environmental logo! However, everytime I launch the app it tells me to update and takes me to the appstore where of course there is no update available because I've actually got the latest verrsion! ### 1/5 — Andy *2025-02-02, version 8.3.5* The map picker is atrocious. When I type in a postcode to report a street light it fails to pick up my address. A complete waste of time, but only to be expected from Glasgow City Council. ### 1/5 — Why bother ? *2024-12-13, version 8.3.5* The app is merely to spare Council staff from ever having to deal direct with the public. In the west end of Glasgow there have been missed bin collections more or less every week and much recycling has to go in the green bins. I have reported this about 20 times per the app and have never had any excuse let alone justification. It is patently used to keep tax paying citizens at arms length. ### 1/5 — Mapping software for reporting potholes is terrible *2024-11-23, version 8.3.3* Mapping software for reporting potholes is terrible they seriously need to sort this out. If you search an address it just drops pin at your location even if it is no where near. If you try drag and drop the pin if you zoom out to far the pin disappears or if you drag it more than one or 2 stops it disappears. Even when you can final get the pin to drop where you want it, it will have the incorrect address or location. It’s if GCC don’t want you to report faults ### 1/5 — Was this a school project? *2024-11-15, version 8.3.3* Up there with the worst apps I have ever seen. All the pages within the app are just hyperlinks to the Glasgow city council website (which all require separate logins outside the app) - what is the point?? Seriously hope it wasn’t expensive. ### 1/5 — Very limited functionality *2024-11-12, version 8.3.3* The interface is easy enough to use however there is very limited functionality, all the widgets I have used just serve as a link to the GCC website where you have to log in again to do what you need to do. Hope they didn’t pay the developer too much for this because it’s essentially an app for the sake of having an app. ### 1/5 — Missed bin uplift *2024-10-22, version 8.3.2* Terrible seems designed specifically for you to give up rather than be able to report a missed bin uplift. Also can’t report our missed grey bin as it’s not even in the bin uplift calendar. Several trip to Dawsholm again this week then. ### 1/5 — Virtually unusable *2024-10-07, version 8.3.2* A cheap lazy reskinning of the site. My gov is virtually useless and yoti is worse. Set up a passkey for’easy’ login. Doesn’t work either. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2024-10-06, version 8.3.2* Title says it all really. You went from a far from perfect app which was af least fairly usable to this which redirects to a website with a complex log in process which usually doesn’t work anyway. Sent an email to the suggested web master but never got a reply or call. Can you suggest another way of contacting the team responsible that will actually reply? ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2024-10-03, version 8.3.2* You have to set up an account to use this App. You can then do very little and most menu options take you to the Council Website where you have to log in with a Completely Different account to do anything. Absolutely pointless ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Absolutely shocking app *2026-04-01, version 10.5* Bin collection calendar doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Can’t actually log in *2026-02-02, version 9.0* Stuck on the security code screen because the number pad doesn’t close and the validate button is behind it. Likely no consideration given to smaller phone screen sizes (iPhone SE 2020). App unusable for me in current version. ### 1/5 — Mapping of road defects is shockingly poor *2026-01-22, version 9.0* I use this app for predominantly reporting of defects like potholes blocked drains and flooding. The mapping part is dreadful you can look up a street name and it won’t be there or if you get the street name your looking for when you try to adjust the drop pin it is very difficult or just doesn’t want to comply Even if you get the pin to drop on the street you want it will then give a completely different street or road name. It is almost as if Glasgow CC do not want to be able report defects. ### 1/5 — Bin collection calendar *2026-01-17, version 9.0* Not up to date ### 1/5 — Rubber *2026-01-14, version 9.0* The grey bin is not on the app. ### 1/5 — Update is awful *2025-12-23, version 8.3.5* Map functionality no longer works ### 1/5 — What happened?? *2025-12-17, version 8.3.5* This app used to be great. Did exactly what it said but now nothing works. I have reported fly tipping (Rubbish —> Fly Tipping) near my area multiple times and the Glasgow City Council crew arrived the next day and removed all the rubbish (usually furniture and they picked up all the litter with janitor sticks around the location, great stuff!) I wish more people would use this app to report rubbish in our lovely city of Glasgow! ### 5/5 — Gets the Job Done! *2017-12-13* This app has never failed me. For getting bulk waste uplifted quickly, reporting fly tipping and its other functions, this works brilliantly and I’m impressed with how the Council respond. Have been told on each occasion the item has been dealt with. It’s still lying where I reported it.
