### 2/5 — Annoying and Potential for Fraud

*2022-12-06, version 2.1*

Not much to this app, which is fine. However, when you want to send the card anywhere the screen and cursor is white with no prompt. So you have to press around until eventually you hit the correct spot so you can type in the info. The info you type in is ALSO white, so you can’t see what you’re writing. So you better feel confident that you didn’t mistype or you’ll have sent your insurance information to some random person. That’s NOT A GOOD THING.

### 1/5 — The Hap App is Crap

*2019-07-31, version 2.0*

This app is utterly useless! A friend showed me the app for her insurance and it had all the vital information she would need. So I decided to download the app for my insurance and this is the garbage app we got saddled with. There is literally no information besides a photo of your insurance card. I wanted to find out if a certain med was converted, but this useless app isn’t capable of telling me. Save the trouble and sign on to the actual website.

### 1/5 — App Difficulties

*2019-06-27, version 2.0*

I’m new to the Health Plan through my job. I’ve downloaded the app, and it won’t let me log in with my information. I can’t do anything with the app. Would you guys please fix this?

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2019-05-15, version 2.0*

What a waste of time, energy, and space on my phone.
They could hire a kid in high school to develop a more useful app.

### 2/5 — Needs Apple Health and Wallet support

*2019-04-02, version 2.0*

Okay, the app works—you can get the cards and then email or fax them to your physician. But this is the bare minimum one should expect from an app in this regard. There’s no way to put the cards in the Apple Wallet (this should be a no-brainer) and no way to integrate Apple Health with your medical records from here (again, it’s a no-brainer considering the fact that HAP allows the login from within Health itself). So, sure, the app delivers what it says it will deliver—it’s just that HAP has the ability to deliver a lot more.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t ever work

*2019-03-28, version 1.4.2*

When this app worked it was great for the convenience of having your insurance cards at your fingertips. We have four children and shifting through cards and making sure they were up to date was a chore BUT this app hasn’t worked for me in some time. I call the help line and they don’t work with the app. Please fix your bugs! It was a great thing when it worked!!

### 1/5 — Errors / Fails

*2019-01-20, version 1.4.2*

App seems to actually let you login / download cards, etc about half the time if that. Pretty poor functioning app. Use their website if you need to access information.

### 1/5 — Nothing has changed in 2 years, really?

*2019-01-17, version 1.4.2*

The previous review 2 years ago is actually worse now. All you get is an error message, “couldn’t connect to the server”...reported it to our HAP rep and have heard nothing back for over 2 weeks, not even a “we don’t support the app any more” even though they sent all the employees a flyer to download and use. It is a space sucker for your phone storage and that’s about it.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2019-01-07, version 1.4.2*

Won’t even connect to server whether you’re on WiFi or not. Garbage app.

### 1/5 — Sucky

*2019-01-04, version 1.4.2*

You can almost never get the app to do anything. Something about server not working.

### 1/5 — App lacks many features

*2018-02-20, version 1.4.2*

This app lacks many features and doesn’t really have a purposed beyond loading your ID card. It also hasn’t been updated in over a year. Apple will probably be removing it from the App Store soon unless it’s updated. By the way, it would be nice to be able to add your card to Apple Wallet. All the features of the HAP website should be available through their app. Please update!!!!!

### 1/5 — Not useful

*2017-08-18, version 1.4.2*

This app has minimal utility. Does not allow for viewing account documents (EOBs, benefits, etc).

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2017-01-26, version 1.4.2*

Couldn't even log in. Kept telling me my user name was incorrect even though it was 100% accurate.

### 1/5 — Can't even log into it! ಠ_ಠ

*2016-11-02, version 1.4.2*

Member log in is a numerical keypad, but my ID# begins with a letter. It doesn't give me that option.

### 1/5 — Horrible App..Horrible Company

*2016-11-01, version 1.4.2*

If you've ever had HAP, then you already know. If not, let's just say this app falls right in line with the quality and consideration of HAP.

Want to see your plan details? Nope, not here. Want to view your current deductible amount? Sorry, try again. Looking for your recent EOB from a doctor visit? Strike 3. Absolutely worthless (and so is the customer service representative from HAP who recommended I download this app to make retrieving my plan details easier...).

P.S. Unless you're forced to take HAP through your employer, don't. And don't be fooled by the 1-star rating...Apple seems to think all apps are at least worthy of 1 star, which I can assure you they are not. Namely, this one.

### 1/5 — Haponthego??

*2016-01-05, version 1.4*

Well, their server must not be active. Can't login to server! What good is this then!!!!

### 2/5 — Please Fix the ID card section

*2015-11-26, version 1.4*

You can't see your ID card on the app anymore please fix

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2022-09-26, version 2.0*

Does not load the pages. Useless app.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2022-04-15, version 2.0*

My abusive ex-wife’s name has been on my app for 6 years and NOBODY has removed it no matter how many times I have called and asked. So every time I get medical care, I have to see it. Thanks HAP!

### 1/5 — Nothing but the ID cards

*2022-02-13, version 2.0*

This app does nothing to show you your plan information. It only shows your ID cards and a provider directory. Nothing about your EOBs, or how much deductible is left or anything like that. I switched over from BCBS and their app is so much better and more useful. I can see all EOBs and deductible information and what my plan covers and all that. I guess I get what I pay for. I switched to HAP because it was cheaper for my family.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2022-02-09, version 2.0*

Doesn’t work and there is no support to help. Much like there customer support for any other issues.

### 1/5 — Not able to login - invalid login

*2022-01-30, version 2.0*

Never able to login to the app. Can anyone help me please?

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2021-08-24, version 2.0*

This app is just as useless as every customer service rep I’ve spoken too. This app wouldn’t even allow me to login in I kept receiving the error message “invalid login” from the other poor reviews I’ve read it’s been this way for years. Make sense being a subsidiary of Henry Ford hospital.

### 1/5 — Good for a copy of your card and find Dr.

*2021-03-31, version 2.0*

You can view your card, find a doc AND get the customer service phone number. Useless app. Need a 0 star option, because zero value added with this app

### 1/5 — Not useful at all

*2021-01-15, version 2.0*

The only thing this would be good for us bringing up the ID card BUT my doctors offices want to scan cards in - this makes even that not useful. I recently switched to HAP. My previous providers app was EXTREMELY useful. I used it all the time to check on claims, answer questions, look up info, etc.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2020-07-07, version 2.0*

Won’t log in correctly.

### 1/5 — Call Customer Service

*2020-01-07, version 2.0*

This app is actually terrible. No plan details, no doctor has updated information, the information that is given on the app is wrong. Very disappointed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — "Hap on the go".

*2015-09-27, version 1.3*

View card function does not display member card front or back under iOS 9.01 Please up date your excellent app. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Works fine

*2013-08-17, version 1.1*

Worked fine right from day one, no issues. Works with new cards!

### 5/5 — It's fixable

*2013-08-14, version 1.1*

Just delete your old app and reload it!! All the new information will automatically appear!!

### 5/5 — One less thing to keep in wallet

*2013-08-01, version 1.1*

Finally! I can leave my ID card at home. I can also look for doctors on my phone

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2013-08-01, version 1.1*

I logged in with my new ID number and can see my new card. This app is so helpful, I don't need to keep my card in my wallet anymore.

### 5/5 — I like it.

*2012-05-22, version 1.0*

It's convenient.

### 4/5 — Finally works

*2013-08-03, version 1.1*

It took about a week but I can now log on. The thing I like most about this is if my husband is with our kids and something happens he had the kids card information. You can also email your card information if need be. Sure you can take a picture, but then you need to search for the picture.

### 3/5 — Allow adding card to Apple wallet

*2017-02-04, version 1.4.2*

This way the card information is available offline.

### 3/5 — Card OK, but searching for Dr. is a pain

*2016-06-30, version 1.4*

When searching for a doctor, the prompt asks for last name, first name. When I enter last name separated with a comma from the first name, I get an error. When I just enter the last name of the doctor, a whole list pops up starting from the beginning of the alphabet, making this function useless in its current form.

### 3/5 — Cards not visible

*2015-11-25, version 1.4*

Can't see ID card. Please fix
