It’s clean, easy to navigate, and helps me stay organized with my assignments. It’s been especially helpful for keeping everything in one place and tracking what’s due. That said, there are a few features that would make it even better: First, the weekly view. Saturday and Sunday aren’t always visible—I have to click to expand them. It would be much more convenient if all seven days were automatically displayed in the weekly layout. Most students have weekend assignments, and having the full week visible at a glance would improve planning. Second, widgets. I have the premium version, so I was expecting access to a homework widget, but there isn’t one available on my end. A functional widget would make it so much easier to quickly check assignments without opening the app. Lastly, completed assignments remain visible in the to-do list with a strikethrough. While I understand some people may like seeing what they’ve finished, I would really appreciate an option to fully hide or remove completed tasks from the assignment view. Currently, they can only be removed from the Home view, which makes the assignment list feel cluttered. Overall, it’s a strong app with a lot of potential. With a few improvements to visibility, widget support, and task management options, it would be excellent. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work on phone *2025-10-18, version 6.8.15* Works on laptop great but doesn’t work on my phone. First it just didn’t carry over the updates to both phone and laptop. Now it won’t even open on my phone. I checked for updates. There isn’t one. This has happened multiple times. However, the app seems a little dated and there are some annoying glitches. For example, I must’ve accidentally selected a block based schedule one time for a class, but quickly changed it to what I actually use (time-based). But since then, every day in my calendar displays either Day A or Day B on top of my list of classes and it’s just annoying and adds clutter. I have yet to find a way to fix it. I can’t even contact the app to troubleshoot it because the “Need help? Sadly i got the update for accessing the widget and to have it there for me always. But i think it’s not available on the lastest Ios. Personally i prefer the payed option its like $5 PER YEAR which is really nothing or .60 cents per month which i would gladly pay to keep my hw and other stuff organized!!!! I don’t always have my planner on me so being able to quick check what is coming up is really helpful. Also, it is great to mark something as complete (it’s a part of my homework process now!) and seeing what all I have accomplished and how much farther I have to go. I wish it had a calendar that broke up the day by time, basically in more detail. It also feels like it doesn’t have a good system of reminders and stuff, and I think i forget about it half the time. I like the amount of options it has and the way you can slide to “check” things off your to do list. I also enjoy the A/B scheduling options that allow homework to be automatically set to the date of your next class. ### 4/5 — very helpful *2024-08-23, version 6.8.12* i’ve been using this app for a little while now and it works so well, and is very helpful. you also get access to a lot of things for free that many apps would put a paywall. my one issue is that the app on my phone won’t sync up with the app on my watch - it’ll tell me i have something due that i marked completed. even if i mark it completed on my watch it’ll just reappear. the watch app will also make like 5 copies of one assignment for some reason. but just looking at functionality on a phone or a computer, it works amazingly ### 5/5 — Really good BUT... *2024-08-19, version 6.8.12* All i can say is that it does it's job and thats about it. If you're looking for an aesthetic or like "pick your theme"- this isn't for you. It's kinda basic and lowkey ugly. I would recomend for this app to be updated to be more 2024 era and not 2009 era. BUT if you do want a cute theme you can pay for it. Which isn't worth it in my opinion. You're probably wondering why I'm complaining so much and I still gave it 5 stars. Well, a homework app is a homework app and nothing else. Me complaining about how aesthetic it is is my opinion. Some people might not even care about a theme which is fine. This app however has everything you need. It can log your tests, homework and tells you when you've missed an assignment or when a big event is coming up. I guess that would work if all of my classes started and ended at 9:00 am (since that is the ONLY option I am given, and there is no way to type my own entry). Same thing happened with assignments (only it is 9:30 am instead). I emailed tech support over a week ago, and still have not received a response. Maybe don’t try to charge people a monthly subscription fee if you’re not willing to fix major bugs in the app in a timely manner. This is, unfortunately, what happens once developers get a constant revenue stream and don’t rely so much on new downloads for their income. But when I tried to delete my account, I couldn't find an option in the settings. I reached out to customer support via email and instead of helping me delete my account, they just sent me an activation link. When I clarified that I wanted to delete my account and all my information from the app, they stopped replying altogether. I get you have costs and what not but every time you click the home button? I have been unable to even click on assignments I created and mark them as completed without closing and opening the app at least 4 times. ### 1/5 — It was Great until I needed it *2023-09-15, version 6.8.12* This app was wonderful at the beginning. I spent 4 hours meticulously adding all of my assignments, projects, readings and their due dates for 3 classes to the app. All was fine until 2 minutes later I needed to add another detail to an assignment and I noticed that over 75% of all of that work was gone with no trace. I was a little heartbroken, I’ll admit. I’ll make sure to thoroughly read through the reviews next time 🫠 ### 1/5 — App is great but NO WIDGET and NO SUPPORT *2023-08-31, version 6.8.12* App is great but there is not a widget like it says. The website talks about iOS 7…. They are just a little bit behind! If you email support they will never ever get back to you. (8/30/23) *2023-08-31, version 6.8.12* 1️⃣Glitch: Manual due dates placed are changing by themselves whenever you edit details. 2️⃣Constant lag, the app freezes/crashes randomly, and worse—when frozen, it still registers taps, so if your keep on taping to make a new assignment (for example)…you’ll end up with 10 blank ones by the time the app unfreezes. 3️⃣When typing in the “additional information” section (which is at the very bottom) when editing/creating an assignment…the keyboard (on the screen, I’m using an iPhone Xs Max) eventually blocks the screen where I’m typing—the screen can’t go scroll up higher, please make it so, so that I can see where I’m typing in that area. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — AMAZING *2026-08-29, version 6.8.15* I quite literally would have failed out of school or had a nervous breakdown without this app. I never write reviews, but I recommend this to every single student I meet; it keeps all of my assignments in an easily recognizable place, I can color coordinate my classes so I can easily see which class has the assignment, and it is FREE. Genuinely, if you have any problems with forgetting or losing track of assignments, due dates, and projects this is the perfect app. Everything is customizable so it can be as organized and detailed as you would prefer. I usually spend a few hours at the beginning of every semester putting in every single due date, class detail, and special instruction and then its just basically checking things off for the rest of the semester. I seriously cannot recommend it enough! ### 5/5 — Stop here, you’ve found the one - 6 year user *2026-07-30, version 6.8.15* I came across this app in high school when I was trying to get myself together and it kept me going all the way through university. I’m leaving a review before I uninstall it for good - for now anyways, I’ll be back if I’m ever in school again. It’s dead simple to use, fun to actually fill out, has a simple view of what’s coming up, and the swipe to complete was one of my favourite things ever - the first thing I’d do after every single exam was swipe it complete. It covers everything you could ever need as a student - I used it for classes, clubs, internships, part-time job schedule, dates, some nights I can’t recall but still marked complete, and probably other things too. It became a ritual at the start of every semester to fill it out and see my schedule. My ex hated that I was the one to put her on, and I was later told that it was the only good thing I had ever done for her. It’s available everywhere, it syncs with your calendar, and the cloud sync feature is super cheap and easily pays for itself - comparable vibe-coded apps will try to charge you monthly what these guys charge for the year. I tried my hand at the notion and obsidian dashboards, project management tools, time blocking, and some other techniques, but I kept coming back to myHomework because of how it just did everything for me so easily. It made me question why I ever thought it wasn’t enough in the first place. This app has a great UI and makes it easy to plan your assignments and see them. It’s nothing fancy but it gets the job done well and there really isnt anything that would be better.
