### 1/5 — Slow

*2024-05-07*

The app is extremely slow and it does not let you input locations manually or by searching. There’s never suggested addresses that pop up like the app says it does. You can’t file an issue if they require an address. Horrible app

### 1/5 — Navigation

*2024-05-05, version 2024.5.1*

The mapping on this app does not work. The search by address, city, state or zip code does not work. Trying to move the location directly on the map moves about a half mile every 3 minutes. Please use a different development company to fix the map issue. It makes this app essentially useless.

### 1/5 — Network issues/times out

*2023-10-15*

No matter if on Wi-Fi or cellular data, this app always seems to time out and fail to submit reports repeatedly. With this error it’s basically useless.

### 1/5 — Isn’t helpful

*2023-07-31*

I downloaded this app and deleted it the same day. The app doesn’t allow you to simply report an issue you must select from a list and in my case my problem wasn’t listed. Sadly the app wasn’t useful AT ALL.

### 1/5 — Needs some work

*2023-05-21*

App is wonky, no back button if you make the wrong selection. Navigation is not intuitive nor user friendly. You can’t easily go from one section to another. I had to close out the app several times to navigate back to home.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-05-02*

Not surprisingly, the KCMO app is AWFUL…not intuitive, cumbersome, and you’re really never sure your request was a) submitted, or b) received. Calling is not much better but at least you talk to someone (usually who is clearly not enthralled with their job, customer service be damned)

### 1/5 — App fails to send

*2022-11-25, version 2022.3.3*

App and website keep failing to send issues regarding my missed leaf pickup.

### 1/5 — Horrible like everyone else says

*2022-03-25*

I am a municipal super fan who assumes all good things of hard working city employees who do the impossible daily. But if I worked on this app, I’d be embarrassed and sick. The app is absolutely horrible, often worse than nothing, and the server often doesn’t respond or is slow. I am forced to use email half the time. Delete this app and server and start over on design and coding. But citizens, it’s what we have, so please never give up on 311. Take photos!

### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Work Properly

*2021-12-20*

App freezes up every time I try to use it or says there’s a network error…which is not true on my end. Trying to submit a request on here is a lost cause. It was easier to just go to the website and submit one.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-12-14, version 2021.4.1*

No surprise, KCMO can’t even get a basic app to work. Seriously, other cities are not like this.

Requests constantly time out.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2026-02-04, version 2025.12.1*

App is worthless. Times out constantly. Tickets can’t be tracked. Online website refers to phone app. Website doesn’t work either.

### 1/5 — Crapshoot app

*2025-11-03, version 2025.9.1*

Horrible! Doesn’t even work. I guess so the city doesn’t have to either.

### 1/5 — Barely functional

*2025-08-27, version 2025.7.5*

App barely works. Every tap takes forever to load and some things never seem to work

### 1/5 — The app doesn’t work.

*2025-08-20, version 2025.7.5*

The app doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Trash schedule/map

*2025-04-24, version 2025.3.4*

I can’t find the trash day for my address anywhere on this app OR on the city’s website.

### 1/5 — Trash collection

*2025-01-16*

After being on hold for an hour, I was asked by one of the representatives why I didn’t call 24 hours after my trash wasn’t collected. I am new to Kansas City Missouri and didn’t know that I had to. I’m calling now to ask why my house was the only house on the block not to get the trash collected she continued to tell me that the trash had been completed at 3:24 as I told her I know I heard them coming down the block I work from home however I’m still asking why my home was the only one not to be collect I was told again I should’ve called 24 hours after I wasn’t collected. I reminded her that we had a snow day last week and so Tuesday is my normal trash day. And now I have four bags versus two bags she informed me to go to Price chopper and get some tags. Why should I have to do that when my trash wasn’t collected due to snow and then Tuesday it wasn’t collected because of why I’m still yet to get an answer to my question so now I’m back on hold another hour of my day. And nobody’s answering there has to be a better way. It’s not the monetary amount is the principle of it.

### 1/5 — App broken

*2025-01-16*

I’m trying to submit a ticket for a missing traffic sign and the app will not let me select a type of issue, yet that is a required field. Using on an iPhone. Thank you

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-11-28, version 2024.10.1*

The app won’t let me submit any reports due to various issues. This app somehow manages to be more useless than Kansas City’s Civic “Leaders”.

### 1/5 — See below

*2024-06-15, version 2024.5.1*

Very slow and glitchy

### 1/5 — Completely Nonfunctional

*2024-05-13*

I needed to report an issue and I was “Timed Out” multiple times. It is so slow. I eventually gave up. Save yourself some time and report online or by phone.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fewer Notifications

*2024-02-28*

The app seems fine. However there is No need to do a push notice for “system maintenance”. It’s excessive. No other apps do that.

### 5/5 — Amazing App - Many Updates Done

*2023-02-25*

Most reviews for the app have been done a very long time ago, but over the short time that I’ve had the app - like about two months - there have been many updates improving the app. For instance, I was on my way home from work when I noticed a traffic signal out right near my home, I submitted a report on the app (very easily I might add), and when I was leaving to go to work the next morning they had a crew working on the light.

Crazy great app - I hope more people start using it and help get the rating up on it!

### 5/5 — This app is so much easier than calling City Hall

*2022-03-11*

The app has come a long way since first launching. I use it all the time and am thankful to our city for making a tool like this available to us.

### 4/5 — Map view

*2022-03-03*

Need satellite map view for more accurate reporting.

### 3/5 — Display format bug

*2026-02-28*

When you view a photo of a report, like pot hole, and close the photo, the display format is messed up. Please fix the display issue.

### 3/5 — Maps Not Loading

*2024-05-05*

With current version of app the map to report an issue / the location is not working and stays loading / saying “please wait”. Very frustrating / can’t report anything

### 3/5 — Decent

*2023-02-27*

Change font of the header to something lighter - cannot see the text when in submission mode

### 3/5 — Timeout alerts are not accurate, the app sorta works

*2022-05-05*

So I also repeatedly experienced the timeout issues with both the map and submission portions of reporting a violation.
But after a few tries and repeatedly being met with the “request timed out” or similar error, it seemed like I had gotten to the next stage of reporting my issue where I got to upload photos.
This also timed out several times until I eventually gave up and closed the app. BUT THE REPORT HAD SEEMINGLY BEEN PROCESSED WHEN I OPENED THE APP AGAIN.
So don’t give up altogether. This app is unfettered KCMO garbage for sure. But there appears to be a degree of functionality to it despite its constant insistence that it’s not working.
Maybe it’s a metaphor for living in KC or next to a Celtic Management property. Maybe we did something to deserve this.

### 2/5 — Viewing Reports

*2025-04-20*

Please add a filter option for viewing reports so residents can view open / closed / pending action reports. The current version makes it impossible to view reports in a timely manner without continually scrolling

### 2/5 — App is broken

*2021-12-27, version 2021.4.1*

App is a great idea
But as with most things in Kansas City it is broken
