The QR code that they currently have rarely works. It’s too small and the scanners don’t recognize it. Updating the app would make it easier for people to use and IndyGo would stop loosing money. But it rarely scans when I try and ride. My screen brightness is set as high as it goes. This invariable pisses off the bus driver and all the passengers. Please: Fix. Your. Stupid. I had to order a fare card because the app was out of work, at least for me, for a couple of weeks. Screen is on full brightness with no cover screen. Indianapolis remains one of the worst cities in the union when it comes to public transit. If you mark the card lost, or stolen now you can’t remove the card. The digital QR code never scans and now the balance shown is inaccurate even if I reload, close and reopen the app. It’s a shame the taxpayers paid more money to this transit program and we still have horrendous service and trash apps. The nerve of raising fares is a real head scratcher. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-06-18, version 1.1.6* I have the app on an iPhone 16e and the QR code to pay doesn’t show up, even with a linked card and funds. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app and signing in and out and doesn’t work. Called customer service and they couldn’t help, and the customer support email doesn’t work. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — DOES NOT WORK RIGHT *2025-05-27, version 1.1.6* Will not let me manually enter the numbers required to add value from a purchased ticket. No numbers or text boxes pop up to let you type in all the info needed to register, update or add any value from station platform kiosk purchased tickets. And the scan text option via iPhone OS will not focus correctly on the numbers either. Garbage product team behind this app. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2024-06-18, version 1.1.4* App allowed me to sign up and verify my email; however, it won’t allow me to login. No keyboard will appear for me to input my username and password on my Apple 15 pro max with latest operating system. I’ve forced the app to stop and re-opened it, and the keyboard will never appear. I even tried turning my phone to see if it was a landscape vs portrait issue. Nope. ### 1/5 — Payment Options and Auto Fill issues *2023-10-31, version 1.1.3* Does this app accomplish its main goal for me to pay for my transit? Absolutely. But see below. The option to displayed for Apple Pay is not clickable. The auto refill option doesn’t work. I’ve identified my threshold to be under $5 to add $10 more dollars and my balance ($4.50) has not updated. Overall, I want this app to do well and hope more things become native to it (maps, etc.) - currently looks like a frame to a browser in some areas. Those items and payment options and auto-refill guided my score here. Looking forward to updates! Updated: adding how finicky this is. Along with QR code has disappeared on new iOS and iPhone 15 even after un/re-installing. Can’t connect the plastic card to my app. The QR code reader on the buses won’t read my code. And calling customer support is useless - 1 out of 5 calls got answered, and the guy I spoke to just agreed that the system was awful and he couldn’t help me. Last non-pandemic year I used something like 10 mobile transit apps in North America, and MyKey is as easy to use as any app in every major city without a team called the Knicks.
