## What is MyKeyboard Legacy?

Customize virtually anything about your iOS keyboard, with simple drag and drop. Add or remove keys or rows, customize the way keys look and behave, change the duration until subkeys (the keys that pop up when holding on a key) pop up, add and remove subkeys and add keys with custom actions.

MyKeyboard is beloved by its users for its ease of use and endless possibilities. For example, the emoji row is a standard feature of the custom Keyboard and can be changed to contain all of your favorite emoji. These emoji keys then automatically contain subkeys with similar emoji which you can personalize. By default, a number row is also in the keyboard, providing you fast access to these often-used keys.

Another amazing feature of MyKeyboard is the switchable fonts. MyKeyboard contains 19 amazing fonts that can be used across almost all apps, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and iMessage. You can add a font key to your keyboard and switch to the font by tapping on it.

These actions can be triggered on tap and hold. When no hold action is set for a specific key, the keyboard goes into trackpad mode, allowing you to shift the insertion point around by swiping. The deletion mode is similar and allows you to delete by swiping left and retract from it by swiping right. By default, it is the hold/press action on the delete key. You can also increase or decrease the key hold time until these actions are triggered, but you will have to perform swift key gestures when setting it very low. 

~~ Keyboard Builder ~~
Use the keyboard builder for creating a fully customized keyboard layout in less than a minute. Your own keyboard layout is called “My Keyboard” and can be configured in every imaginable way. You can even add a copy, cut or paste key, a font key, an emoji key, a move cursor key, a “delete all” key and so much more. You can also create your own keys, for example for inserting copypasta or using copy/paste keys to perform these actions faster.
We have made keyboard customization very accessible and it's easily doable for everyone. And it is customizable in every extend. For example, by adding a lot of g keys to a keyboard you could essentially create your own g board, or by adding multiple font switching keys to one, you can create your own font keyboard.

~~ Themes ~~
You can choose from a variety of free and paid themes, or go ahead and create your own customized keyboard theme.
Theme customization can be used to change every aspect of your keyboard: background and foreground colors, shadow and border sizes and their colors, key corner radius and you can even set a custom height for your keys! Even a custom keyboard background image is configurable with your own photo. In the section “my themes”, you can see and manage all of your customized themes.
Themes can even be shared with your friends who also use MyKeyboard!

Die App ermöglicht es, eine komplett maßgeschneiderte Tastatur zu bauen. Langes Halten für weitere Zeichen, Herunterziehen für das zweite Zeichen, alles vorhanden. Die standardmäßige iOS-Tastatur mit ihren drei Ebenen ist maximal nervig und damit langsam. Hiermit habe ich alles auf einer Tastaturebene. Vielen Dank, jeden einzelnen  Euro wert!

It only corrected about 50% of my words. It didn't correct a lot of stuff. And it doesn't add apostrophes. The autocorrect is horrible and no way to even edit my dictionary. If this is fixed I'd give 5 stars. Would be cool to be able to make an account to back up my dictionary and layouts too.

Eine wirklich schöne App!! Hab mir sogar die Pro Version gegönnt, um alle Features nutzen zu können und endlich eine Tastatur zu haben wie ich sie mir immer gewünscht habe.

Einzige Kritik:
Das Wörterbuch (weswegen ich einen Stern abziehe)!!
Wenn man in einem Wort einen Buchstaben falsch tippt, zeigen die Vorschläge leider nicht das eigentliche Wort an sondern man muss diesen Buchstaben erst korrigieren...
Das ist Schade, denn manch andere Tastaturen können das.

Fazit: An dem Lernprozess der App gibt es noch Luft nach oben, ansonsten eine tolle App die ich nur weiter empfehlen kann!!

Diese App ist wirklich sehr schlecht programmiert. Ich hatte gehofft eine Alternative zu Apples undurchdachte Tastatur zu bekommen. Leider nein. Die App stürzt leider immer immer immer wieder ab eine Tastatur die immer wieder abstürzt und man dann noch für rund neun Euro kaufen muss. Da kann sich jetzt jeder selbst sein passendes Adjektiv dazu überlegen.

Nachtrag, vielen Dank an den Apple Support oder an den Entwickler der App die meine erste Rezession löschen ließen, weil sie ihm wahrscheinlich auch nicht gepasst haben. Es ist aber nicht meine Schuld, wenn die App immer wieder abstürzt beziehungsweise die Tastatur immer wieder abstürzt, so dass man sie quasi nicht benutzen kann.

I loved the free version and upgraded to paid and couldn’t get it to open and use it in my texts. Tried uninstalling etc it wouldn't allow me to apply what i had changed etc

**Developer response:** Hello, this is an iOS issue with all keyboards that happens from time to time, and it's easily solved by restarting the phone (only needs to be done once). We are very sorry for this experience, and we have since added a new button in the app to address this very problem and explain the solution.

It's good until you want to change the language durring typing. Instead of pressing a botton to czange language, you have to go to settings to do that. It's a waste of money.

Ich finde diese App super. Man kann nach Belieben die Tastatur gestalten. Wenn man nicht weiß wo man bestimmte Einstellungen findet, kann man einfach dem Support schreiben und die netten Leute helfen einem schnell weiterund nehmen auch gerne Vorschläge an. Ich finde die 8€ sind super investiert.
