I implore anyone reading this to never purchase a device that uses Myko for its smart connection, especially an AC unit. They will periodically force a migration from one app to another to maintain smart functionality. If you miss the window, your device will forever be without its smart features. Here’s the kicker, the window in which they require you to do the migration is in the winter time, when your device is most likely not being used and in my case, in storage. When you complain, they will act like it’s not a big deal that the main thing you bought your unit for is no longer working. These people are truly despicable, do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs. ### 1/5 — Une régression, pas une évolution *2026-06-05* Grosse déception depuis le passage à la nouvelle application Myko+. L’ancienne fonctionnait très bien, et la migration forcée vers cette nouvelle version nous a fait perdre énormément de fonctionnalités essentielles. Comme beaucoup d’autres utilisateurs, je me retrouve avec une application bien moins pratique qu’avant : il n’est plus possible de gérer un groupe de spots en une seule action — il faut tout faire appareil par appareil. On peut créer une automatisation pour allumer, mais pour éteindre, c’est un par un. C’est un recul énorme en termes d’ergonomie. À cela s’ajoute un temps de latence de 2 à 3 secondes avant que les appareils répondent, alors que l’ancienne app était quasi instantanée. Des bugs apparaissent régulièrement : parfois seuls deux spots sur cinq s’allument, puis tout le reste, sans logique apparente. Et le réglage de la température de couleur (chaud/froid) est devenu laborieux là où c’était simple avant. On nous a vendu une application améliorée, mais c’est clairement une régression. L’ancienne était plus intuitive, plus rapide et plus complète. J’espère sincèrement que les développeurs prendront en compte les nombreux retours des utilisateurs et proposeront des mises à jour correctives rapidement, car en l’état, cette application ne rend pas service aux clients qui ont investi dans les produits Myko. ### 1/5 — New App, more problems. *2026-05-23* The old Myko app worked perfectly well, this Myko plus nonsense has kicked my device off of the account, and won’t allow me to add it. Apparently I should have had my aircon up and working when they did the change over…in January…in Britain…in minus temperatures. There was no warning sent out about the change, just now that it’s warm, and the aircon is rolled out for use, it doesn’t work. So inside an extra amount of money to have a smart device, that now cannot be controlled properly. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t allow devices to connect *2026-05-22* Since migrating from the old Myko app to the new one, they will not let old devices connect to the new app, meaning you cannot use the new app to control your devices via your phone which is an absolute joke! I was given no warning or communication that the app was changing and I was no longer able to connect my air conditioner and I now cannot use all the functions of my air conditioner because of this. ### 1/5 — Impossible de connecter les appareils *2026-05-01* Comme beaucoup de précédent avis, le même problème m’arrive. Certains de ses avis datent d’il y a près de six mois, et il s’avère que le problème n’a toujours pas été réglé : j’avais la précédente, application Miko, qui fonctionnait parfaitement bien où je pouvais changer la couleur de mes ampoules avec la nouvelle, il faut recréer un compte car le précédent ne fonctionne plus, reconnecter les ampoules dans la théorie, car c’est tout bonnement impossible J’ai eu la bonne idée de garder la notice, contrairement à certains ayant laissé un avis, et rassurez-vous, ça ne change absolument pas le problème, car même si vous avez un plus gros QR code sur le papier, que l’application a QR code, elle vous fera quand même passer directement vers le mode Bluetooth qui ne fonctionne pas bien entendu. C’est une honte si vous avez acheté ses ampoules et que vous pouvez encore vous faire rembourser. Ne perdez pas de temps avec ce matériel, trouver quelque chose qui fonctionne réellement. Sinon vous finirez comme beaucoup d’entre nous à avoir payé trop cher, une ampoule qui ne fonctionne juste pas car les développeurs se fichent totalement des avis que mettent les consommateurs et clients. ### 5/5 — . *2026-03-19* Depuis la nouvelle application plus aucune ampoule est reconnue et le service client ne fait rien ### 1/5 — Rubbish! Don’t bother! *2026-03-06* What an awful set of lights to start off with and what a dreadful move over! I have 12 lights all connected to Alexa! All lights needed updating individually which took about 3 minutes each. That’s if it didn’t cut out while it was doing it. Then, to top it all off! They’re all connected to Alexa as new devices! So all the groups and routines I have set up over the months, to perform different actions, all need to be done again from scratch!!! Since I bought these lights 6 months ago, I’ve never had a set of lights in my life make me so angry! And I’m an electrician! I definitely would never recommend! Also, every time I need to reset the router, I have to reconnect all the lights to the WiFi again. Otherwise they don’t work properly! What a shambles of a product! Edit! Since writing this review about 8 weeks ago, all 12 lights have suddenly stopped working! 8 on one lighting circuit. 4 on another. Just nothing. Can’t even turn them on manually! Technical team have been absolutely no help either! So now going to cost me to fit 12 new lights! 🤬🤬🤬 **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Vous obligez vos clients à la remplacer par une application Myko+ qui est un désastre. Plus aucune ergonomie, plus de possibilité de gérer plusieurs ampoules en même temps, des problèmes de connexion au réseau alors que ce réseau fonctionne parfaitement, des ampoules qui se déconnectent… Merci pour ce cadeau …🙁. Indécent d’oser imposer une telle catastrophe. Easy to set up devices and set up a schedule. This app is awful. The system to set up a schedule is convoluted and once you manage to set up a schedule it doesn’t work.
