## What is MyLandline?

MyLandline is a voice memo app that thinks it's a phone.

You don't record a memo — you call someone, and the someone is you. Future Me. Work. The Group Chat You Wish You Had. Every contact is a folder, so a recording is filed the moment you make it: you chose who you were talking to before you said a word. No inbox to sort out later, because there was never anything unsorted.

Raise the phone to your ear and the screen goes dark, the audio routes to the earpiece, and you talk the way people actually talk on a phone — quietly, into the top of the device, instead of holding it out in front of you like a microphone. Play a call back and it comes out of the earpiece the same way, for you and nobody else on the bus.

There is a keypad. There is a Recents list, with missed calls in red and a dot on the ones you haven't heard. There is a ringback tone before you connect — set per contact, tapped away when you're in a hurry, turned off entirely if it stops being funny. Mute holds the recording mid-call and picks it back up. Adding a second contact to a live call keeps one continuous recording. Calls that run under three seconds file themselves as a missed call, which is exactly what they were.

Every call opens to a waveform you can scrub, seek, and share. Call someone back from their own call. Move a call to a different contact. Export a whole contact as a zip of audio files named for the day you recorded them, so the recordings are yours somewhere other than here.

Everything stays on the phone. There is no account, no cloud, no sync, and no analytics — the app contains no networking code at all and could not phone home if it wanted to.

One purchase. No subscription, no tiers, nothing saved for a later version of the app you already bought.
