### 2/5 — Can’t log in

*2025-07-21, version 3.4.2*

I’m not sure if it’s for iPhones only but whenever I try to log in, I cannot press sign in because it does not allow me to scroll down. Please fix asap

### 2/5 — it doesn’t load with wifi or 5G, frustrating app

*2025-04-04, version 3.4.2*

1/5 times loads, needs work

### 2/5 — Always something wrong

*2025-01-18, version 3.4.2*

The app won’t let you put in your library card number, pretty useless if you want to log into your library. I put the barcode in and it will not let me scroll down to the PIN number area or press log in.

### 2/5 — Too basic

*2017-12-03, version 2.1.1*

This app logs you out very frequently (as little as under an hour). The app provides no notifications as to due dates or holds. Good idea but much too basic to be truly useful. Now the due date has been removed. Seriously??!! Now this app is good for nothing at all.

### 1/5 — waste of time

*2017-09-07, version 2.0.1*

They must not have done any testing. This app doesn't work in the least.

### 1/5 — MyLibrary

*2017-09-06*

Absolute tosh. If you live in Canada or USA okay. I don't. Unable to proceed past first login page as I use a different library

### 3/5 — Entering your library

*2017-04-08, version 2.0.0*

Just a note: Instead of searching for the 'Robina Library' or 'Nerang Library', type in "City of Gold Coast" and you will be connected with all GCCC libraries. Hope this helps 😊

### 1/5 — Dose not work

*2017-04-07, version 2.0.0*

I live in Buffalo, New York. The Buffalo libraries are not available. I typed in New York and no New York City libraries showed up. The only library I can access is some small Canadian library in Ontario.

### 1/5 — FIX IT

*2017-04-04, version 2.0.0*

App is not working, same as the other reviews 🙄👎🏼

### 1/5 — Still not working!

*2017-02-24, version 2.0.0*

Same as previous reviews. Nothing is happening after I enter the library name. My husband has had this app for a while & his version is working perfectly. He loves it btw.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2017-02-23, version 2.0.0*

Would be nice to actually be able to use the app! It asks for library name then nothing happens... 🤔

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2025-05-11, version 3.4.2*

This was a good app but the page to get to search tab just doesn’t load anymore. Looks like back to the old school way and go visit the actual library to borrow a book.

### 1/5 — Sign In

*2025-03-08, version 3.4.2*

On an iPhone. Won’t allow to get area of screen to add PIN and hit Sign In. What a waste of time

### 1/5 — Not Useful

*2021-07-27, version 3.3.1*

The idea behind this app is great, but I receive an error when I try to view my holds. I would love to get push notifications when my books are due or ready for pick up. Another user mentioned how difficult it is to get to the virtual card. You do have to dig a bit. Ultimately just takes up space on my phone. It is only useful for placing holds on items.

### 1/5 — What’s the purpose?

*2019-11-30, version MyLibrary! 3.2.1*

My local library is not on this app and I’m not sure why it should be. I thought this was to keep track of my personal books that I have at home but apparently I was wrong. I can track all the books I read and want through my local library website. Most libraries have that feature so this is redundant. Not sure why anyone would want this as it does even less than my local library website.

### 1/5 — Not at all what I read it was!

*2019-07-16, version MyLibrary! 3.2.1*

How do I get my money back? This is useless to me.

### 1/5 — Can’t view your checkouts

*2018-10-16, version MyLibrary! 3.1.1*

Currently, you are not able to view what you have checked out, or renew any books. This app is currently useless except to browse the library catalog. Has been this way for over a month.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2018-06-28, version 3.0*

Just downloaded and tried to ‘select’ library. After manually typing it in, the page is frozen and it’s impossible to go back to main page. Think there are some coding bugs that need to be fixed!!

### 1/5 — Goodbye Australia??

*2018-02-02, version 2.1.1*

Where have the Australian libraries gone??? This app is now useless 😠

### 1/5 — Not Australian

*2017-12-19, version 2.1.1*

Dido no Australian libraries

### 1/5 — Aus

*2017-11-28, version iOS App 2.1*

There are no Aus librAries in this! I can’t use it

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — If your library is a partner, it’s great!

*2021-04-13*

Ignore the reviews from users whose library does not partner with the app. This app is meant to be used only with a participating library. You can view your checked out items and due dates, renew items, see your hold requests, your balance due (if any), and display your library barcode. The search feature links to your library catalog. The app is simple in design and easy to use.

### 5/5 — So easy!

*2020-08-31, version 3.3.1*

This makes putting books on hold and checking books out from the library so simple! I love being able to just request what I want and for it to be ready when I get there. Makes picking up books a snap.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2017-11-29*

It it still being worked on and, it is good for how long it’s been out

### 5/5 — Fun

*2017-11-29, version 2.1.1*

I like reading! I love how it’s lets me connect to my library! I can’t wait to see new updates and stuff!! Just make sure your library has the library system Sierra and offers MyLibrary to you.

### 5/5 — Good for Palo Alto Library

*2017-02-05, version 2.0.0*

Works well for Palo Alto City Library. I can see my account status, renew check-outs, and search catalog. It is much easier to use than the website.

### 4/5 — Does what it says but push notifications would be nice

*2020-01-22, version MyLibrary! 3.2.1*

Does everything it says it does and works fine. However, would be nice to get push notifications for when items due or holds are available, currently have to enter app to see.

### 3/5 — Stale

*2023-10-09, version 3.4.1*

I totally understand that this app is also reliant on Libraries, but I would love to see more options such a a wishlist. I sometimes see a book a like but don’t wish to get it right away, so dropping it in a wishlist would be a way to have a place to go when I am looking for a book then put a hold if it is no available.

### 3/5 — Just OK

*2023-07-29, version 3.4.1*

The app works fine but needs some improvements:
- cancel hold
- link from hold back to book details
- when filtering by format for “book” it also gives you “ebooks”. It should only give you books that are physically at the library.

### 3/5 — Good BUT Please Update

*2018-11-15, version MyLibrary! 3.1.1*

I’ve got this working well found my local Gold Coast library etc HOWEVER, I can’t have my account and my sons account open at the same time. Multiple log ons would be a good idea for families, so there’s no log out log in issues. Also a “remember my card # function would be good so I don’t have to get our library cards out each time I want to swap users.

### 3/5 — Apple Watch

*2018-06-13, version 3.0*

Would be great if it worked with my Apple Watch.
