The app provides no notifications as to due dates or holds. Good idea but much too basic to be truly useful. Now the due date has been removed. Seriously??!! I typed in New York and no New York City libraries showed up. What a waste of time ### 1/5 — Not Useful *2021-07-27, version 3.3.1* The idea behind this app is great, but I receive an error when I try to view my holds. I would love to get push notifications when my books are due or ready for pick up. Another user mentioned how difficult it is to get to the virtual card. You do have to dig a bit. Ultimately just takes up space on my phone. It is only useful for placing holds on items. ### 1/5 — What’s the purpose? *2019-11-30, version MyLibrary! 3.2.1* My local library is not on this app and I’m not sure why it should be. I thought this was to keep track of my personal books that I have at home but apparently I was wrong. I can track all the books I read and want through my local library website. Most libraries have that feature so this is redundant. This app is currently useless except to browse the library catalog. I can’t use it ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — If your library is a partner, it’s great! *2021-04-13* Ignore the reviews from users whose library does not partner with the app. This app is meant to be used only with a participating library. You can view your checked out items and due dates, renew items, see your hold requests, your balance due (if any), and display your library barcode. The search feature links to your library catalog. The app is simple in design and easy to use. ### 5/5 — So easy! *2020-08-31, version 3.3.1* This makes putting books on hold and checking books out from the library so simple! I love being able to just request what I want and for it to be ready when I get there. I love how it’s lets me connect to my library! I can’t wait to see new updates and stuff!! I can see my account status, renew check-outs, and search catalog. However, would be nice to get push notifications for when items due or holds are available, currently have to enter app to see. ### 3/5 — Stale *2023-10-09, version 3.4.1* I totally understand that this app is also reliant on Libraries, but I would love to see more options such a a wishlist. I sometimes see a book a like but don’t wish to get it right away, so dropping it in a wishlist would be a way to have a place to go when I am looking for a book then put a hold if it is no available. ### 3/5 — Just OK *2023-07-29, version 3.4.1* The app works fine but needs some improvements: - cancel hold - link from hold back to book details - when filtering by format for “book” it also gives you “ebooks”. It should only give you books that are physically at the library. ### 3/5 — Good BUT Please Update *2018-11-15, version MyLibrary! 3.1.1* I’ve got this working well found my local Gold Coast library etc HOWEVER, I can’t have my account and my sons account open at the same time. Multiple log ons would be a good idea for families, so there’s no log out log in issues.
