### 4/5 — The best task management system

*2026-07-26, version 3.3.15*

Waiting for MacOS app. On Mac with M1, I can't activate the Pro 3 version I purchased on my iPhone. iOS version was updated too long ago.

### 4/5 — Good Task/Project Management App

*2026-04-27, version 3.3.15*

This application has good inclusive functionality. It is everything all in one, with easy user interface, functionality control, and program management software.

### 4/5 — Great app. Needs updating.

*2026-04-20, version 3.3.15*

Great app. I also use MLO Windows. The iOS needs updating so Home Screen widgets can be used. The Apple Watch version is stuck on the starred view because Apple took away 3D Touch on the Apple Watch.

### 5/5 — Great for projects

*2025-09-20, version 3.3.15*

This is the best app I’ve found for project planning. Having the ability to add subtasks and minimize them when needed is extremely useful.

### 5/5 — I Am So Happy About This App

*2025-09-03, version 3.3.15*

I have been looking for something like this for a long time. There is a little bit of a learning curve but, honestly, I hate trying to follow instructions and I jumped in. I explored EVERYTHING. I love organizing and MLO has made it so much more fun.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-08-21, version 3.3.15*

Good

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-07-29, version 3.3.15*

Keeps you organized and can be used across devices

### 5/5 — Very good

*2025-07-14, version 3.3.15*

A wealth of options. Almost too many, but would love to have a numeric field that could be set to total up within a branch.

### 5/5 — Potential

*2025-07-05, version 3.3.15*

Just need to work with it. Not 100% intuitive to set up. But once up and going it’s a game changer.

### 5/5 — Back to MLO!

*2025-05-19, version 3.3.15*

Been a user since my Visor & Palm Pilot days…to Android & iPhone. Used MLO for big projects but cleaning the slate for my To Do Lists. Very unhappy with using other Task apps that either become too complicated or get bought by bigger companies & then ruined (Wunderlist). My lists are info based. I don’t want due dates. I want a simple, but large, file tree where you can rearrange list order easily. Can’t wait to jump in this week & pull over all my lists!

### 5/5 — New task Tool

*2025-03-19, version 3.3.15*

I've replaced other tasks in favor of MLO3 ! Very configurable!!

### 4/5 — All the features I’m looking for

*2025-03-01, version 3.3.15*

MLO3 has many feature under people complaining other task management apps don’t. Location based reminder, projects and folders, iOS reminders sync.. but only MLO3 and one other offer project review! Which is a game changer! Well done!

### 5/5 — Keeps me on track

*2025-01-28, version 3.3.15*

I really like the way the MLO app expands the desktop programs reach. I am able to keep my detailed list with me on the go. And I have most of the customization that is available on my computer.
For me the price is not an issue. Paying once for a piece of software that I get to use for as long as I want is great. It has been a year and has already been worth the money.
I am using GTD method to organize my todo’s. The flexibility and the compactness of the the way todo’s are displayed has been a huge bonus. I work on huge projects the span multiple years. And I can expand and collapse the portions I need to see on the desktop version. Then I pull up things I marked for today on the mobile version.
I’m very glad I bought it.
Don’t expect to get great results the instant you have installed this. You need the desktop version too. And you will have to be patient and setup your system structure inside MLO. Once you do, it is way better than anything else I have ever seen. And I have tried more than a dozen before I found MLO.
I like the combination of MLO and LogSeq. I use MLO for my task list and LogSeq to store all my notes about the project.

### 5/5 — Awesome!!!

*2025-01-26, version 3.3.15*

I love it. Have it on my iPad & iPhone 5s with Cloud Sync. I stay organized on the go. Love it!! : )

### 5/5 — Best Org System there is

*2025-01-18, version 3.3.15*

A wee bit of a learning curve, but pays dividends.

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2025-01-15, version 3.3.15*

This is the one app I really wouldn’t do without. I can’t praise it highly enough. It is flexible enough to allow you to work in way that suits you, rather than being prescriptive as is the case with so many other similar apps. I use the version for iPad the most, but the ability to synchronise via cloud (for a small monthly payment) means that I can access my information on phone or computer as well. I should add that the cloud synchronisation is entirely optional, so anyone who wants to use MLO 3 on just one device doesn’t need to pay. It is very easy to use, and also elegant. Really, I can’t praise it enough! Also, the customer support is excellent. Whether it’s a question relating to installation, or a problem with syncing, I’ve always had a helpful response within 24 hours, and usually sooner. I love the way MLO integrates with Siri and the iPad’s reminders...such an effortless way of adding tasks by voice. You can also set up and email and simply send tasks to it. It is still highly recommended...wouldn’t bother with anything else for tasks and outlining.

### 5/5 — Best organization app

*2025-01-02, version 3.3.15*

Loved it. Stumbled upon this all by accident. Bought the pro version before the trial ended… awesome app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — good

*2024-10-22, version 3.3.15*

ok

### 1/5 — Don't pay for pro as you still have to pay for updates

*2016-07-22, version 3.0.4*

Very disappointed that after paying for the pro version only a couple of months ago. The app has been updated to version 3 and they're trying to charge me another £15 to upgrade to version 3! The business model is all about shaking as much cash out of the user as possible. It's basically like holding your app for ransoms!

Software should be a simple model of you either pay monthly or you pay a one of fee for PRO (which include lifetime future updates)

It's safe to say I won't be upgrading to pro! I very close to purchasing the desktop and Mac version - glad I didn't know (oh and these you must pay for seperately and if you wish to connect them all (you pay again for the cloud 😂))

Your app is great, your business model is appalling!

### 2/5 — Still disappointed

*2025-05-12, version 3.3.15*

Good if you do not need customized recurring tasks. Recurrence need to add flexibility, e.g recurring every 6 weeks or 8 months. Still no print functions. And still not a happy user

### 2/5 — Beware it is lacking a proper Apple Watch app and bad reminding and notification system

*2021-12-23*

I have brought the PC app and I love it. I also brought iOS app as a complimentary app to my pc software. But I have found the app to not work properly with Apple Watch which doesn’t remind me most of the time about my task despite setting up reminders and sync has its own issues. The iPhone notifications are a hit or miss. This is an expensive app to buy but it has given me a very bad experience. I have had the app for years I completely stopped using it due its bad notifications and reminders system. It is wonderful on desktop but has a very bad IOS and apple Watch apps.I mainly brought it for use when I am away from computers . The app has disappointed me on multiple occasions and has lead to miss out on important stuff

### 2/5 — Cloud Sync issues with desktop version

*2013-08-15, version 2.0.2*

I checked the task but the keep in unchecking when I synchronize.

### 3/5 — No batch edit?

*2026-08-18, version 3.3.15*

One of the best todo apps out there, but they seem to have forgotten the iOS version. Despite the Android version having been able to enjoy this feature for many years, the iOS version has no batch edit feature to be able to modify many selected tasks for things like due date, contexts, flags, etc. This means means we have to do it one by one, creating friction.

### 3/5 — Not bad

*2025-12-09, version 3.3.15*

There are some features of this app I love so much, such as the open/close function on contexts. This is one feature that even Omni Focus does not have. However, this app is made to rely on the desktop app for optimal performance. I wonder if that is a business strategy for people to buy both. I believe it should be a stand alone app with full functionality contained in the mobile app. For example, anything beyond simple recurrence setting needs to be done on the desktop app. That is absurd.

### 3/5 — Excellent app but the subscription to sync is a money grab

*2023-06-19*

iCloud allows us to sync for free between iOS devices. The author has intentionally left out this option so he can make money via the subscription service. This app is already high priced and I think it's a very unethical decision on his part to do this. For the next big (paid) update I'll only buy it on phone or tablet since the lack of iCloud sync makes it meaningless. If a Mac version is released I'll also be forced to avoid buying it because of a lack of iCloud sync. Paid subscriptions work for services that give you access to new content like music or video streaming, this new trend of making silly things like syncing subscription based is horrible and though I could afford it I would never support something that plays against the users' interests. Now that we have that out of the way, I can't possibly fault the app. It's an incredibly flexible and versatile app which fits in perfectly to your workflow by allowing you to customize it to your tastes. It's possibly the best app of its kind on iOS and I hope the author rethinks the subscription to sync so fans like myself can recommend it and let it earn the popularity it deserves.

### 3/5 — Want Tasks To Rollover

*2023-03-19, version 3.3.15*

I would like tasks to rollover from one day to the next if not completed. And for those tasks that don’t have a due date, I’d like those to appear every day. This way in my today view. I have my events for the day and my complete task list without ever having to leave the Today View. Other than that, it’s good.

### 3/5 — ????

*2023-01-18, version 3.3.15*

I want so much to like this app, but I’m so confused! The video tutorial seems to be for version 2 and is slightly different. I’ll keep at a few more days.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — MLO 3

*2026-09-06, version 3.3.15*

This is an excellent app!

### 5/5 — So far so good!

*2026-08-25, version 3.3.15*

I have always struggled to find a great GTD style tool that I could really use in application and not just theory. So far this one is working well. It was a must for me to be able to edit on computer and phone! Similar to Anki with flashcards. I like being able to do some work while waiting in life.

Update: more than a year later and still using it, still great.
The only small tradeoff is that it’s not my go-to for regular repeating reminders. For some reason I feel like I don’t often get the reminder notification. Something like the iOS app Alarmed has better/reliable options.

### 5/5 — Много лет пользуюсь

*2026-08-16, version 3.3.15*

Пользуюсь MLO более 10 лет. Пробовал много всего, лучше пока не нашел.

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-07-19, version 3.3.15*

Still good compared to other apps

### 5/5 — Genuinely powerful for serious goal tracking

*2026-05-11*

Just set up MLO 3 on my iPad Pro and I’m impressed by the depth. The unlimited hierarchy of folders, projects, and subtasks lets me organize life areas — health, diet, work, hobbies — far better than the iPad’s built-in Reminders.

What I’m using it for: time-bound goals broken into weekly milestones, with recurring daily and weekly habit tasks under each goal. The Project status field (Not Started / In Progress / Completed) is great for visual progress.

What works well: the one-time Pro purchase (rare these days, much appreciated), the strong recurring task engine, and the ready-made views like Today, Active Goals, and Due Next 7 Days that already function as a usable dashboard out of the box.
One suggestion: weekday-specific recurrence (Mon/Wed/Fri) currently requires the Desktop version. Would be great to have this on iOS too — for someone using only the mobile app, the workaround of creating three separate tasks is clunky.
Overall a serious tool for serious task management. Recommended.

### 5/5 — Been using MLO about three years ...

*2026-04-21, version 3.3.15*

...and I really like it. Cloud sync keeps MLO on all three of my platforms updates. Recommend it highly.

### 5/5 — Almost Perfect iPhone App, Perfect PC Software

*2026-03-20, version 3.3.15*

I love this app. Its ability to easily set task dependencies makes it the best possible tool for project management. The PC version is top notch—above any other software out there. The iPhone app is awesome, but I keep waiting for an update that will allow the full recurring options we have available in the PC app. I use this on both iPhone and PC, with the cloud sync service. I almost always have to use the PC software to setup recurring tasks though. Please, please add that feature to this app. That missing feature is the only thing holding it back! (Well, that and open/closed hours setup, but for me, open/closed is far less important to me for the mobile app since I can still manage that as a “set and forget” feature via my PC version).

### 5/5 — I like

*2026-02-14, version 3.3.15*

This is an incredible app. It has helped me a lot.

### 5/5 — Awesome personal organizer

*2026-01-02, version 3.3.15*

Intuitive. Great cloud sync. Nice Windows version too.

### 5/5 — Clear, Clean, Flexible

*2025-09-26, version 3.3.15*

I’ve used this for years. I sync across 5 devices and it works great.
My favorite functionality is the infinitely deep and easy Folders and Files.
It is very easy to create hierarchies of Folders and Files, or within Files / Tasks. It is the best simplest solution available.
