### 5/5 — Best bang for the buck.

*2026-10-02*

This app does it all. I love that you can choose different voices for each character. It is easy to edit, can be used across platforms and listens to you when you say your line. Any questions or issues you might have are handled directly by the developer, Brian Caspe. He truly cares that it works for you. The subscription price is about half of what comparable apps charge. I love this app!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-10-01*

This app is extremely useful, user friendly, and Brian is a huge help! HIGHLY recommend!

### 5/5 — VERY useful

*2026-08-19, version 2.1.10*

I’ve been using the app for a while now and watched it grow and update. It’s become incredibly intuitive and helpful now for learning lines, I use it regularly for self tapes and learning lines for work. I had some issues with it one time and emailed Brian and received an immediate response, after some back and forth we realised I hadn’t updated the app. Brilliant design, excellent functions and incredible support when you need it.

### 5/5 — Great app created by one of us

*2026-08-07*

Brian Caspe the creator of this app is amazing at getting right back to you with any questions and any issues that you’re having with the app. I’ve been using this for about a year when it was still in beta form and it’s gotten so so good. Thank you, Brian for putting together something to help us do our self tapes. It’s obvious that all the features that you’ve created come from the fact that you’ve been through the self tape process yourself and know what we want and need.

### 3/5 — Shouldn’t Have Updated

*2026-07-19*

The update looks nice. Seems to run faster and it’s a cleaner interface, if less script-focused. The beta was buggy but forgivable because it was free, now all the features are locked behind a paywall and unfortunately $100 a year means it’s not meant for this poor actor.

**Developer response:** Hey Amma, I'm sorry the update cost is getting you down. I work a lot on the app and, while I do want it to be available for poorer actors (being one myself!), after a few years, I do want to see at least some income from the hours I put in to working on it. That said, there are couple of ways to get the premium app for free though: If you recommend the app to friends and they join premium then you get a month of credit. You can also become a beta tester and give feedback on the new features. This not only gives you premium for free but lets you have an inside track on which features should be included! Get in touch if you're interested!

### 3/5 — Didn’t like my script formatting

*2026-05-13*

I’m in a musical where the lyrics are all in caps and centered while dialogue is in the “Characters: Line” format.

It detected the song lyrics as character names and all the dialogue as stage direction which it skips. It would be nice if on import you could specify how your script is formatted (optionally) and it would be nice to toggle reading stage direction off and on. Seems like a good app but it won’t help me on this one. Bummer.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-03-18*

I’ve been trying to find an app for AGES that will just read the other lines for me, it’s been surprisingly difficult to find that and doesn’t make me pay for it. It takes some time to get started, but this app is super helpful after you’ve done all that plus it’s free. It lets you change the voices and has delays for your lines so you can read them. This app is perfect and just what I was looking for :)

**Developer response:** Hey there! Thanks for the review! A redesign is coming soon which will have a pay gate, but the gate is more for the premium features that professional actors would need like self taping and unlimited scripts. Hope you tell your friends about the app!

### 4/5 — The best feature-packed line memorization app

*2026-03-18*

I’ve tested every line memorization app, and trust me, there are a ton of them. My two favorites are LineLearner and this one. I’ve recently switched to this app because it offers almost every feature I could want – incredible AI voices, speed controls, ability to show the first letters of each word, intelligent cue detection and auto-playing, cast collaboration, etc. The developer has also been very responsive to my messages. And best of all, there are no recurring subscriptions. Who wants another subscription?

As amazing and feature-packed as this app is, I still keep the simple LineLearner app around because of one thing – it’s reliable and failsafe.

I love MyLine and will recommend it to every actor I know – this despite the many crashes and issues I ran into using it. The features are just so good, and I found ways around most of the issues I had.

It was confusing to learn how to import lines and set up scenes in the way the app wants them, but once I was shown by the developer how to do it, it was a breeze. I still wish there was a faster way to import lines via speech and transcription. Right now it takes multiple taps per line to make that happen. The app crashes frequently when I press the “previous cue” button multiple times in a row to go back several lines. I found a workaround by pausing the audio, scrolling back, selecting where I wanted to start, and playing again.

On very short lines, the AI voice often misses the first word or two or doesn’t read it out at all. There’s also not an option to hear your line read back after a gap, so you have a chance to recite it and then hear it.

There’s also no CarPlay app or Mac version to sync up with. The interface could use improvement, but I’m told a redesign is on the way.

All in all, get this app. Everything you’ll love about it will make up for every frustration you’ll find.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for your review! I am working on a redesign which will be out very soon (though unfortunately it will come with a subscription...). a lot of issues are being fixed in the new version. I'll take a look at your previous cue bug!

### 1/5 — Full of bugs

*2025-10-13*

It adds scanned pages multiple times, doesn’t identify even simple words when scanned, erases audio settings randomly and won’t let me fix them, won’t select voices for different characters, overall very difficult to use. Wouldn’t recommend!!!

**Developer response:** Hi Mike! I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience with the app. Scanning pages is definitely a tricky area which we are working on improving. When you say it erases audio settings randomly and won't let you fix them, I'm not sure what you mean. It also has a pretty robust system for selecting different voices for different characters (both in the run audio menu as well as when you edit the characters). As far as the difficult to use, we are working on making it more intuitive. At the same time, there are a ton of features and making each feature hidden until the user wants it is a tricky process. But we're working on it. Hopefully you can find an app that serves your needs and I hope you give MyLine another chance!

### 5/5 — This is an excellent app

*2025-09-28*

My daughter started acting two years ago, and I used to act myself (these days I work behind the camera). I looked at a number of apps to help actors learn their lines. There are plenty, but MyLine came out on top. The interface may feel a little basic, but it has everything actors actually need. It’s easy to use, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed.

**Developer response:** Hi Robert!

Thanks so much! It's always a challenge hide features until the users actually need them, while also making it possible for them to find them. We're working on an app redesign which should hopefully make it more intuitive! Glad you're finding use from the app!
