## What is MyList?

Know what to buy, what it should cost, and whether it's safe.
MyList is the shopping list that keeps going after checkout. Scan your grocery receipt, see where your money went, catch price increases, and get warned when food you bought is recalled. Share lists with your household and plan the next trip together — on iPhone, iPad, and the web.

SEE WHERE YOUR MONEY WENT
• Scan any grocery receipt — items are read, categorized, and totaled automatically
• Spending by month, store, and category
• Price history on the things you actually buy — know when your usuals creep up

RECALLS ON YOUR FOOD, NOT EVERYONE'S
• MyList checks official FDA recall and outbreak data against the brands on your list and your receipts
• Recall apps don't know what you buy. List apps don't watch recalls. MyList does both.

ONE LIST, THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD
• Share a list by email and shop it together in real time
• Prices, notes, and expiration dates on any item
• Expiration reminders so food gets eaten, not thrown out

RECIPE INSPIRATION
• Browse recipes and add every ingredient to your list in one tap

NO ADS. EVER.
• Free trial: everything, including unlimited receipt scanning, for 30 days
• Free: 10 lists, unlimited items, list sharing, recall warnings, full web access, and every receipt you already scanned
• MyList Unlimited: unlimited lists and receipt scanning, full spending history — $2.99/month or $19.99/year
• No ads on the free plan. No ads on any plan.

Privacy: your groceries are your business. Lists, prices, notes, and receipts stay in your account and are never sold or used for advertising.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.8 — 2026-08-28

Sharper answers about what you actually pay.

PRICES THAT COMPARE LIKE FOR LIKE
• The same grocery is now recognized across shops and spellings, so you can finally see who really sells it cheaper
• Every price in your history says which shop it happened at
• The Prices tab tells you how much of your shopping it has been able to name, so you know how complete the picture is
• Tapping a purchase opens it, instead of quietly marking it as a sale

YOUR WATCH KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE
• Choose which list you're working from and which shop you're standing in, straight from your wrist
• "All done" now means all done — with a shop filter on, the watch tells you what is still waiting elsewhere instead of claiming you have finished

RECALLS THAT MATCH THE WAY YOU WRITE
• A recall on "blueberries" now finds the blueberry on your list, and the other way round

No ads, ever. Never sold, never profiled.

### 2.6 — 2026-08-17

The biggest update since the 2.0 rebuild.

YOUR LIST ON YOUR WRIST
• Check items off from your Apple Watch, with an undo you can actually see
• Add an item by voice or Scribble, without reaching for your phone

RECIPES FROM ANYWHERE
• Import a recipe from a link, or browse the web inside the app and import the page you're on
• Review what gets saved and pick only the ingredients you need, then send them to a list
• Per-serving nutrition when the recipe's own page published it
• Share a recipe with your family

SEE WHERE THE MONEY GOES
• A full spending report: totals, trends over time, by store, by category, top purchases and price changes
• Savings and discounts — what coupons and member prices took off your bills, and which shops gave the most
• Every figure compares like for like: month to date against month to date, not against a whole month
• Filter the whole report by period, store or category

PRICES
• Your list fills in the price you last paid, and updates it when a newer or corrected receipt disagrees
• Alerts when something costs more than it usually does
• Mark an item as on sale to silence an alert, and find that tag again later when you want it back

RECEIPTS
• Tap any line to fix a name, category or price the scanner misread
• Correct the shop on a receipt whose header the scanner couldn't read

ALSO FIXED
• Recall warnings you've dismissed stay dismissed, offline and after a restart
• Old recalls no longer read as this week's news
• Accounts on a paid family plan are no longer shown the free plan
• Being invited to a shared list costs nothing, and the app now says so

Your groceries are your business: lists, prices, notes and receipts stay in your account, and are never sold or used for advertising. No ads, ever.

### 2.5 — 2026-08-09

This update is about two questions: what you're really paying, and whether what you're buying is safe.

PRICES
• Every item now shows what you last paid for it, where, and when.
• Get told when something you buy regularly changes price — with the history behind it, so you can see whether it's a blip or a trend.
• A new Prices tab lists everything you've bought more than once, so you can go and look instead of waiting to be surprised at the till.
• Compare by unit price, so a bigger box and a smaller one are actually comparable.
• Mark a purchase as "on sale" so a promotion doesn't skew what you think something costs.
• Up to two years of history, which is enough to catch the things you only buy a few times a year.

FOOD SAFETY
• Recall alerts now arrive the same day the FDA publishes them, instead of waiting for the classified record — often a week or more sooner.
• Recall matching is considerably more accurate. Warnings for products that merely share a word with your item — chips named after onions, cookies containing egg — are largely gone, and genuine recalls that were previously missed now surface.
• Products with accented names are matched properly, so an outbreak affecting jalapeños is found whether or not you typed the ñ.
• Recalls too old for the food to still be in your kitchen no longer clutter the list.
• Meat, poultry and egg recalls from USDA-FSIS are included alongside FDA data.

BUDGET
• A running total for your trip that's honest about what it doesn't know — it tells you how many items still have no price rather than quietly leaving them out.

ALSO
• Add items with Siri, hands-free.
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
• A plain-English privacy summary in the Account tab explaining exactly what leaves your device, and what never does.
• Clearer setup when you first open the app.
• Many fixes to shared lists, store names, receipt scanning and sync.

Recall information comes from published FDA and USDA sources. Always check the official notice for the final word.

### 2.3 — 2026-08-06

MyList keeps getting better:
• A refreshed look across the whole app
• Clearer camera-permission wording
• Bug fixes and performance improvements

MyList was rebuilt from the ground up in 2.0: receipt scanning with spending insights, FDA recall warnings on your items, shared lists, recipes, and a new design. If you haven't looked in a while, look again.

### 2.0 — 2026-07-25

A big update, and the first in a while.

• No more ads, anywhere in the app.
• 30 days of unlimited lists, free. No card needed.
• Sign in with Apple.
• Manage your account without leaving the app: sign out, or permanently delete your account and everything in it.
• Fixed text you type being invisible in dark mode on the sign-in screen, and in light mode when signing up.
• Saving is faster and more reliable. Items no longer get half-written when the signal drops in the store.
• Prices on the upgrade screen now show correctly in your own currency.
• Rebuilt sign-in for Google and Facebook, and updated throughout for current iOS.

Thank you for using MyList.
