## What is mylockr?

mylockr is a password manager built on one rule: only you can read your data.

Everything is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your master password and a Secret Key that never leaves your devices. The server only stores encrypted data it cannot open — not your passwords, not your notes, not even the names of the sites you save.

WHY MYLOCKR
• Zero-knowledge by design: your master password and Secret Key are never sent anywhere.
• Strong, modern cryptography: Argon2id key derivation and authenticated encryption for every item.
• Two secrets, not one: even if someone guesses your master password, they still need your Secret Key.

EVERYDAY USE
• AutoFill in Safari and apps, straight from the iOS keyboard.
• Save new passwords and generate strong ones right from the AutoFill prompt.
• Passkeys: create and sign in with passkeys, synced across your devices.
• Unlock with Face ID or Touch ID.
• Folders and favorites to keep your logins organized.

STAY SAFE
• Security report: spot weak and reused passwords.
• Optional breach check that never sends your passwords.
• Recently Deleted: restore deleted items for 3 days.

DOCUMENTS
• Attach encrypted files to any item — an ID card, an insurance policy, recovery codes.

ON ALL YOUR DEVICES
• Sync between iPhone, Mac and the browser extension.
• Add a new device by scanning a QR code from one you already use.
• A printable recovery kit keeps your Secret Key safe if you lose a device.

YOU STAY IN CONTROL
• Export your vault in an encrypted file whenever you want.
• Renew your Secret Key or change your master password at any time.
• Remove lost devices from your account.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics.

Important: mylockr cannot reset your master password. If you forget it and lose your recovery kit, your data cannot be recovered — by anyone, including us. That is the price of real privacy.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 0.2.1 — 2026-10-22

• Two-factor codes (TOTP): scan the QR code or paste the key; codes in the app and in iOS AutoFill (iOS 18+). Bulk import from Google Authenticator.
• Payment cards: add cards and fill the card number in apps and in Safari (iOS 18+).
• Safari extension (iOS 18+): fill logins and cards from Safari.
• Folders: a folder shows only its own items and its subfolders; favorites first, then recently used.
• This device only: use mylockr without an account and without sending anything to a server; upload to an account later from Settings.
• Sync with a file: keep a "this device only" vault in step between your devices through one file you choose (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or any folder). The file is end-to-end encrypted with your master password and Secret Key and is read and written only when you tap Sync. Set up another device with "Set up from a sync file".
• Duplicate items: copy logins, notes and cards with one tap (password included; card number and one-time code are not copied).
• One tap to clear a search (×).
• Build number next to the version in Settings.
• Fixes: the generated password shows on the change-password screen; items an older version could not read appear after updating; "Remove from this device" completes without a wait; invisible characters and look-alike dashes in a pasted Secret Key are cleaned up.
