But since the removal of search engines such as Google it is getting very difficult to use and get new articles for academic purpose. I hope the developers look into this and take apt action for smooth functioning. Thanks ### 3/5 — Horizontal Mode Needed *2024-02-12* While the app is ok to use and the features seem to working fine but the huge drawback is that on iPad, it doesn’t allow horizontal view of the app. This leads to removing of iPad from the magic keyboard to read the articles hence not allowing us to multitask. ### 2/5 — Regarding the capabilities along with the rotation *2023-10-21* This doesn't work well at all on the iOS. Please update the format of SCC online, I'm not able to read it horizontally, It stays only vertical makes it a reading issue on iPad. 2) The option to enlarge a file and read it doesn't work it keeps loading that's it. 3) downloading PDF's is a very big hassle kindly see to it that the PDF's can be downloaded directly instead of sending it to collections. 4) getting logged out by just entering general collections is a big issue, and the hassle of logging back in without the autofill is even worse. The interface when this happens is god-awful. There are bars above and below the screen that cannot be removed, making for a horrid reading experience. My investment into this online library is almost going to waste because it is so uncomfortable to read anything. ### 1/5 — Very bad aap *2024-10-05, version 2.0.26* I have paid for a years subscription of British council digital library, which unfortunately requires its users to download and use this aap to access content. I have an iPad Air , which though an older model but runs Netflix, YouTube and any thing thrown at it. It’s been weeks and this damn aap isn’t working at all . Currently, MyLOFT is available via Institutional Subsciption only. ### 1/5 — Installs some kind of VPN, very slow and unreliable *2022-12-22* This app is a complete waste of time and bandwidth. 1. Installs a VPN profile to provide "institutional access," which seems to be bandwidth constrained. 2. Connection keeps dropping and reconnecting. 3. Institutional access should mean you don't have to keep providing your credentials, but every resource wants you to do so again and again. Best access your library using a desktop browser. This will just waste bandwidth, time and your phone battery. ### 1/5 — Error downloading *2020-11-07* Couldn’t download PDFs of the chapters from the app. ### 1/5 — Completely useless and commercial like AKTU *2020-06-25* We were forced by AKTU our university to download this app, and register. The interface is clean and easy to use, and I can quickly find journals, e-books, and research articles without any hassle. I also like the offline reading, bookmarking, and highlighting features, which make studying much more convenient. The app runs smoothly, and syncing between my phone and laptop works well. Overall, it's a very useful app for students, researchers, and faculty.
