### 5/5 — Faithful user

*2013-01-09, version 3.1.8*

I've been a faithful user of this app for over a year. Its user friendly and covers everything i want to track. I have adult ADHD and find this very helpful in tracking my mood, energy levels, sleep, and stress levels. I can easily see the correlation between my medication and my mood which is helpful in determining the right medication and optimal dosage. I love the visual graph reports. Helpful when reporting my moods to my therapist. To top it off, the interface is visually appealing. The 2 times I've ever had a question, the developer responded the same day! No complaints about this app, except that there are some bugs with this latest update. The developer assured me that he has fixed the issue, but is waiting for Apple to approve the changes. He expects the update to be available in a week or so. There have NEVER been any other issues since I've had this app. Very good track record. Don't let this deter you from buying the app!!! It's great!

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2012-07-07, version 3.1.4*

Use it every day, multiple times a day to track my mood and journal. Is easy and quick to use, and it's nice to see things charted for patterns. Like previous reviewers, I'd like more emoticon options and/or the ability to clarify emoticon meaning by instance (kind of like how stimulants are handled). Also agree with the reviewer who pointed out how useful it would be to have graphs in landscape mode. I'm glad I bought this app and hope it will grow even more useful, if developers respond to customer feedback as they claim.

### 5/5 — Great medical app!!

*2012-03-19, version 3.1.3*

Overall one of the best medical apps I have seen or used before. It does need a few things for example; native iPad support I would also like to see this application to be able to support a note for every medication for example if you enter a note for one medication that same note applies to all other medications I would like to be able to have a different note for every medicine. Some kind of a link for medications between this application and WebMD or or another medication information site would be great. Be able to customize a new field so if you are for example bipolar it would be good to be able to designate that and be able to the specifier for it if you're in a manic or the opposite that mindset. Having more granular support for medications besides answering the dosage it would be nice to be able to not choose between dosage and amount of tablets but having all those options for each medicine that you take

### 5/5 — Awesome App!!!

*2012-02-18, version 3.1.2*

This app is awesome it really helps you keep track of your moods and you can take notes (or rather your thoughts about the way you feel or just what you are thinking at the time). It's also good cuz it lets you keep track of your sleep and the medication. And that helps you figure out what triggers certain moods and if the meds are helping you or not. Thanks for the awesome app. :)

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2012-01-31, version 3.1.1*

Amazing customer support and very responsive to requests. The gentleman who responds to website emails spent a *week* helping me get my backups to work correctly. I've never had such amazing customer support in my life. WOW!
This app does it all & only gets better. MUST-HAVE for anyone dealing with mood issues of any sort. This sets the bar I compare all other apps to. And so beautiful! Worth every cent, and then some.

### 5/5 — Great!!!

*2012-01-13, version 3.1*

I love this app so much!!! Thanks for the updated version with the added emotions and meanings. I think it would be even better if we were able to select more than 1 emotion for each time setting. It would also be nice if we could select/edit a date to fill in that was missed or incorrectly entered. Thanks again for such a great app :)

### 5/5 — A great tool!

*2012-01-12, version 3.1*

This is a wonderful way to not only keep track of your moods but what's effecting them as well. You can label the emoticons to whatever you wish them to be and there are many. It also works great as a journal and is an easy way to remember which medicines you have taken for the day. The graph is wonderful compared to most other apps. Overall an easy to use well rounded app that does what is says :)

### 5/5 — Great app for tracking moods/meds

*2011-12-26, version 3.1*

This is the best app I have found for tracking mood and the factors that contribute to why the mood I am in is what it is. The medication journal is terrific for not only reminding me of when to take my meds, but recording the medication and dosage. This allows for a more complete view of what may be going on with my mood and if the meds are working or if they need to be adjusted. Great App!

### 5/5 — If you need to track moods and medication, well worth the price

*2011-12-19, version 3.1*

First off, I have to say that I love this app. It's a fantastic way to keep track of my moods and what impact medications or situations have on me. If your therapist requires you to track your moods it's a wonderful tool, but it's not just good for mental health help. I have also used it to help me determine life choices. Is my job more trouble than it's worth? Does my relationship really make me happy anymore? Is a friend really just all drama and no fun? Keeping track of your mood can help you see situations more clearly and set aside feelings or guilt or obligation to face how you really feel about something and whether your health is being damaged by someone or something. That said, the only change I would request for this app is more situation-specific smilies. I would like to me able to name my emoticons to suit the mood I'm logging right now instead of permanently changing every entry with that emoticon (for example, when I pick the sleepy face, I would like to be able to put "peaceful" today and "exhausted" tomorrow instead of always having it labeled "sleepy, tired, restful" etc.). I am also extremely impressed by the continued development of this app. The minds behind it really mean it when they say that they are supporting and changing it. The functionality rapidly changes and improves. Thank you for listening to your customers and continually improving a product that is already great.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app!

*2011-12-15, version 3.1*

Great for mood tracking. I've tried paper tracking, online tracking, and this is by far the easiest and most efficient. The app has a great interface but needs improvements here and there. When you enter a mood there is no "save" button which is not satisfying to me because I have to trust that the app captured it. Also the "mood" screen should be part of "logs" screen where enter your sleep, exercise, and stress level. These things are so interconnected that they should be together. The options after you do have something charted are awesome. The settings once your in the "graph" view allow you to turn things on and off within the graph. Super helpful when you are trying to gain several perspectives. Adding the stimulants was a stroke of genius but the way it us displayed in the history is terrible. Icons on the graph clutter the whole UI. Also why doesn't the who app utilize in-plane switching? The gyroscopes are in there for a reason. Plus it would allow for a extended view of the information I so desperately need. The icon for the app is just embarrassing. I have the thing in my home screen and I am embarrassed to open up my phone and have people see the cheesiness. But I guess I'll ignore that because the app is so dang useful. Can't wait to see further updates and developments. Overall the best way to track your moods and the best app I've seen for it. I use it several times a day!

### 5/5 — Can't do without it.

*2011-12-07, version 3.1*

This app really is a significant help in tracking meds and moods. It's easy and intuitive to use. I've been using it for several weeks and it's amazing how it motivates me to take care of myself. My doctor has been after me for years to track my moods and she was amazed when she saw I was actually doing it! Simple, quick to input data. I'd like to see a few more mood variations, because god knows I experience them all! Good job guys! Keep rockin!
UPDATE: I continue to use this app every day and it just keeps improving! The only thing that is useless to me is the export via .csv file. Raw data like that is useless to my doctor, so I just bring up the weekly/monthly charts and hand her my iPhone. Perhaps some other way to export the charts? PDF maybe. But honestly this is still the best mood tracker out there.
Update: been using this app every day for more than a year now. I like that it have enough choices so I can display just what I want on my chart. My doctor continues to like it that I track my moods (she loves you guys!). This app never crashes, can track lots of different things, and the developer is THE BEST at helping. The most important point with this app is it helps you stay stay aware of how you feel over time and how meds affect you. This app has become part of my treatment for my bipolar and I would never do without it!

### 5/5 — Very useful app!

*2011-12-07, version 3.1*

Newer Update: the ability to track pain is very helpful, especially for anyone with a chronic pain condition.

Update: THANK YOU for adding the csv export funtion! This is easily one of my most-used apps!

This is an incredibly useful app for anyone who wants to track or look for patterns in mood (and sleep). The ability to add notes allows for the environmental impact on mood. The emoticons allow for a description beyond a 1-10 rating, including ones that could be used for anxious, tired, so-so, and sick.

The one thing I would really like to see in an update is the ability to print out the chart, to take to a doctor. I don't want to be handing over my iPod when I'm trying to describe the previously unknown patterns I've found using My Mood Tracker.

Great job, developer(s)! Thank you!

### 5/5 — All the right features, and easy to use!

*2011-10-03, version 3.0.1*

This has just the right features and not too many. Simple user interface. Love the export function as well as the graphs so I can track patterns. Has been really useful in helping me better understand my patterns and manage them. So nice to have it on my phone too, it means I use It regularly -- but without worry, because it's password protected. Love it.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2011-09-20, version 3.0.1*

Makes it super easy to track my mood on the go, in real time. That's incredibly helpful in looking for patterns, identifying triggers that might not seem obvious, and providing reasonably accurate and useful info for my doc. I wish the medication segment could handle fractions of tabs (other than halves) and was more flexible for other dosage measurements, but a little creativity and I am logging what I need to log. I really am glad this is out there. I tried a few at the same time and this is the last app standing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Was great... needs a bug fixed, couple sugestions too

*2011-03-06, version 2.3*

WAS a great app... it still can be he just needs to fix a few new bugs with the new update. Well only one that ive noticed so far but when in the chart view i used to be able to click on a day and itd show me all of the entries for that day, now though it only shows me the current day's data no matter what day I tap on.
I'd love it if this could get fixed,
Also two sugestions:
Maybe add a place to enter in vice consumption (drug use, alcohol use, cigarettes consumed, energy drinks ect) itd make being truthful for me easier because i would be able to see actual numbers instead of guessing, with maybe a feature to add your own vice....
For the women's section with the entrual cycle, you should also have an option to type in period end date with everyone having different period lengths marking the end date could help show what is "that time of the month" and what is not normal for themselves.
I do love this App though its very useful for me

### 3/5 — Not Bad

*2010-11-03, version 0*

Could use more moods to choose from such as anxious, confident, depressed, fatigued, flirty, forgetful, frustrated, gloomy, hungry, impatient, in love, insecure, irritable, jealous, lethargic, mean, moody, etc. This Ap is much limited on the moods that can be chosen. Also a notes section would be very helpful. I do like the sleep tracking function. I would recommend this for basic mood tracking, but for an in-depth record more effort is needed. Also, you should be able to add more than one mood at a time. For instance, it is possible to be depressed and angry at the same time.

### 3/5 — RECOMMENDATIONS

*2010-10-21, version 0*

This app is great, but it's still lacking a few things! It would be nice to be able to set more than one reminder for those of us who have to take medication several times a day. It would also be helpful to be reminded specifically of reoccurring medications, so when you look at your list of medicine after being reminded to take to take it, you're not faced with the problem of "oh crap, which ones was I supposed to take now again?"

Being able to separate as needed medications from daily medications would be great, as would the ability to carry the over to the next day, and a notation on the chart when the daily meds were changed so you can see how it affected your mood.

And as far as mood goes, having the option to chose from a quick list of possible/editable stressors would be great, because there's not always time or need to write out a full note.

### 3/5 — Not perfect, but useful

*2010-09-02, version 0*

I don't take medication or have a mood disorder, I just wanted an opportunity to get in closer touch with my feelings as that has sometimes been a challenge.

For that purpose, the reminder & prompts are great. I don't use the slider as effectively - seems like you're supposed to gauge bad/good but I'm more inclined to rate how juicy the emotion is, which makes the chart kind of useless for me. Better would be to see the frequency of each selection.

Still, bottom line is that push notifications have made me more aware of my feelings, and that has value.

### 4/5 — Love this app

*2023-09-15*

When my pain gets high it is always difficult to track my symptoms and meds. This is nearly perfect for me since my pain can literally impair my language to the point of being unintelligible.
The graphics make it easier for me. I don’t have to remember the extra step to save what I entered and when I hit chart, it graphs it so nicely I can easily pick out patterns and adjust my meds, environment, activities accordingly. I can even fairly reliably make future plans. That is a huge thing for someone with intermittent crippling pain. To say, oh I will see you for a bbq this weekend without it made me look Ike a flake, but with it I can say, “80% chance I will see you. If I that changes I will let you know.”, then I KNOW the likelihood of my actually being able to do it. It’s freeing and makes me feel so much more functional. It dues help set me up for more functionality and success at what I do. I just love it.

I would give it all stars if it would auto input from my health ap, things like my cycle, medications and when I took them… those kind of things, but for the small cost I paid for this app, I still and thrilled with the hang for my buck functionality I get as is.

### 4/5 — Great but needs update

*2019-12-29, version 3.2*

Hey! I love this app so much and it is so helpful in my depression management. Just wish it would have some updates soon, worried the developers are going to forget about it. Wish there was a better way to share with my therapist. The excel sheet doesn’t give the same visual. Other than that I take screenshots of the entries so she can see them with the symbol, rating, and description. And the graph would be super helpful to be able to share. Love this app. Thank you!!

### 4/5 — Very satisfied.

*2019-10-11, version 3.2*

I’ve been keeping track of my moods for over a year and a half with this app, and it is very good at showing me what an “effed” up life I’ve been living!

My one suggestion would be to add a few more emoticons. I suffer from extremely deep depression, and something like a suicidal one would be a good addition. Maybe another one for lonely, and another one for unloved.

### 4/5 — Woohoo!

*2013-01-20, version 3.1.9*

Not only did the problems get fixed, but the developer is really nice and listens to suggestions! I can't wait for the next update... GREAT way to track how you're doing. I'm always having swings and need to show the docs what's going on. This not only gives a graphic to show me trends, but the journal allows me to show them the specifics (why do I feel the way I do today/right now...what just happened to change my mood?) which helps when you don't live with a therapist. :-) Highly recommended for anyone who needs to pay attention to how their medications make them feel, how their recreational drug/alcohol use affects you. MMJ patient? Log it, log you pain/illness issues, track them and then you have real data. :-)

### 4/5 — Overall a great app, but some features desperately need improvement

*2012-12-27, version 3.1.7*

This is a great app that allows you to chart so many things in one place (mood, sleep, meds, exercise, menstrual cycle, etc.) - and add notes for each. Have several different ways I can see these (chart form, list if entries that also shows notes).

My big complaint though, which I have to knock a star off for (and would probably make me take 1.5 stars off if I could) are the functions like energy and pain. These are SUCH useful things to be able to track, however the way they are setup make absolutely no sense and effectively make them useless. Why? Because there are no start or end dates for these things. Once you enter them, they show on the chart as constantly being there in the past (forget if this continues into the present). If I want to input being sick, I can't put a staff AND end date, which is ridiculous - I haven't had the flu for my entire life up till now!! This essentially renders them useless.

This has been the case for a long time and when I emailed the creators they responded very quickly, which was great, and acknowledged what I was saying ... though they still haven't changed it. Really wish they would!! I would probably rate if 4.5 stars then.

### 4/5 — Putting the fun in dysfunctional!

*2012-11-16, version 3.1.4*

This little app is very easy to use, and it allows you to track a wide range of variables. The interface is intuitive, the graphics are nice, and the customization is extensive. This app allows you to record your variables as often as you'd like in a day, which is very useful for those who are looking at rapid cycling of moods or pain.

Some improvements I would like to see include more nuanced menstruation notes. I understand most developers are male, but let's make a bit of an effort to realize women's bodies aren't as simple as on-off switches for menstruation! (I would be happy to offer further insight if desired, developers!) In addition, I have not found a way to 'turn off' pain, so that a lack of entries ends up indicating pain the whole time. If I enter a headache of 8 one day, and 6 two days later, it didn't mean I had only a slightly decreasing headache for two days.

These are just fine-tuning points on an already fantastic app. Highly recommended!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent for many uses

*2023-04-29*

Works great for mood, meds, etc tracking. Lots of customization allowed. Can export everything to csv
Using it since 2015

### 5/5 — Best of the best. GREAT!!

*2022-06-01, version 3.2*

Although the super nice and helpful developer has moved on, he’s kindly keeping this superlative app functioning. In 10 years and countless apps (more than 2000) tried, this is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE AND MOST USED APP! It’s GREAT! Incredibly versatile-I keep track of meds (with notes), symptoms, moods, sleep, activity all in one app. Couldn’t be easier to use. Great for sending info to doctors or trainers-you can customize what info and time period gets sent. I’ve yet to find ANYTHING that comes close !

Obviously wish it synced with AppleWatch and IHealth but even though it doesn’t (and I use those daily” “You’re Still the One”. 🎶!! Number One.❤️💜💚

### 5/5 — Best mood app I’ve ever used

*2019-10-08, version 3.2*

This app is incredible. I wish they had more face emojis to better depict emotions but I bet they’ll get there. Very easy to use.

### 5/5 — Flexible, customizable

*2018-12-13, version 3.2*

Wide range of options as to what aspects & activities you want to track. Many different options are built in; some of them can be customized; plus a free-text field is available.

### 5/5 — This is easy & comprehensive!

*2018-01-17, version 3.2*

I like the reminders and ease of use as well as all the little buttons to track my day, medications, etc! I’ve been using this to help my therapist get a sense of my patterns. Thank you I hope you can make a function for the iwatch

### 5/5 — Perfect mood tracking app for me

*2017-06-10, version 3.2*

Tracks mood AND energy AND stress separately. Only thing I would add is meditation tracking, but I can add it as an exercise. I've tried quite a few mood tracking apps and this one is the most convenient.

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2016-03-04, version 3.1.13*

This app is perfect for managing my bipolar disorder and aiding me in long-term remission. It's possible for lifetime remission of these diseases, but they must be maintained much like Type 1 diabetes. This app is EXTREMELY instrumental in helping routine management, sleep schedule and noting mood levels, ensuring that micro-corrections can be detected and accounted for looooong before any noticeable effects to home, relationships, career, or overall health come into play. Beats pen and paper. Easy to use. The reminders are great. Logs are easy to manage with healthcare team. This app has become an essential tool to ensure that my remission is longterm. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Excellent good for bipolar

*2015-06-08, version 3.1.13*

This does pretty much everything that a bipolar person needs in a tracking app. You can show mood via a wide range of emoticons and a 1 - 10 number. This is important, because apps that give you 2 or 3 choices for mood are ridiculous; they’re simplistic rather than simple. Nobody’s moods can be captured that minimally. It’s easy to enter sleep hours, including multiple periods of sleep in one day, and automatically calculates elapsed sleep times from clock times you enter. Exercise tracking is flexible, as are other factors, like exercise. For almost everything you can enter and review free-form notes. Everything is joined in a single log. The graph that shows all this stuff is rather cryptic, but I find that the log works fine. I’m taking the app to my psych appointments,

### 5/5 — Excellent, no-hassle tool to log mental health

*2014-04-08, version 3.1.13*

This app is incredible. Sure, it's easy-to-use, it has a polished interface, and it exports your history, but ...wait! Did you read all that? Look at all it does! Plus, it provides you with reminders so you remember to record your mood AND it allows for customization based on your moods. As someone who has bipolar disorder, I find using the reports very helpful when talking with my doctor.

### 5/5 — Changed my life!

*2013-11-04, version 3.1.12*

I used to carry several logs to my Dr. and now I have this app with a nifty graph!
I think they should have named this app. "My Life Tracker." My only wish is it had a weight and food tracker so I could have it all in one place!
This app has potentially saved my life. I forget my meds (pain messes with my short term memory). If I can't remember of I told something or I think I did, I look at this app. I even figured out much of my insomnia & evening anxiety was from drinking caffeine after 7 pm! I would not have believed it if I had not seen my graph! THANK YOU for this app!!! I love it!
