## What is MyMP3?

Pull the audio out of videos on your iPhone or iPad and save it as an audio file. Everything runs on your device.

WHAT IT DOES
Pick a video from Photos (or open one from the Files app), trim the part you want on the waveform and convert it to M4A, MP3, WAV, AIFF, AIFC, CAF or MP4 audio. For MP3 you choose the bitrate.

ALSO IN THE APP
• Batch: convert several videos from Photos in one go (whole videos, no trim)
• Ringtone maker: up to 30 seconds, exported as .m4r (you install it through Files and GarageBand; iOS does not let apps set a ringtone)
• Merge audio files already in the app into one M4A
• Change the speed from 0.5x to 2x
• Edit title, artist and album of M4A and MP4 files
• Share by AirDrop, Messages or Mail, or save to Files and iCloud Drive

FREE AND PRO
Free, with ads: 3 conversions a day in the editor, MP3 up to 128 kbps, batches of 3 videos, 1 ringtone a day, merging 2 files. Pro (subscription or one-time purchase) removes the limits and the ads and adds MP3 at 192 to 320 kbps, a 10-band equalizer, a simple noise filter, pitch shift, crossfade and cover artwork.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Works with videos iOS can open (MP4, MOV, M4V) and common audio files. MKV and most AVI files are not supported.
• It cannot download from YouTube or links: only files already on your device.
• The sound in a video is already compressed, so WAV or 320 kbps cannot add quality back.
• Converting needs no internet and nothing is uploaded. The internet is used only for ads and purchases.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.8.1 — 2026-10-19

Video to MP3 converter: updated for the latest iOS.

### 2.8.0 — 2026-10-14

New: swipe or long-press an audio file to rename or delete it. Fade in, fade out and normalise volume on any audio. The Watch Ad button now adds an extra conversion for real.

### 2.7.0 — 2026-09-16

The purchase screen was selling two things that are already free, and it did not say how long the free trial lasts. Both fixed.

Also: three system pieces were fighting each other at launch, the full-screen ads were presented from the wrong controller so some never appeared, and the translated texts had the audio vocabulary mangled.

### 2.6.0 — 2026-09-07

• Two conversions running at once could clash over the same background slot: one job stayed alive forever, which is one of the reasons iOS closes an app, and the other was cut off mid-conversion
• Removed a background mode the app declared and never used
• A free trial is only offered to people who can still get one; it used to be advertised to everyone and then charged in full

### 2.5.1 — 2026-08-19

• Fixed a bug that could remove Pro access when the app was opened without a connection. If you paid, your subscription stays.
• Refunded purchases are now correctly revoked.
