### 3/5 — Gotten better

*2026-07-01, version 6.0.0*

Recent update addressed Face ID issues - much improved login experience

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-03-13, version 5.2.1*

App and website are useless and unclear. Benefits cards are frequently denied

### 1/5 — App

*2026-02-18, version 5.2.1*

This app is terrible. Cannot see any information.

### 1/5 — disgusting app and customer service

*2026-01-29, version 5.2.1*

The app is so glitchy that I’m not able to update my mailing address and so I cannot receive the debit card that I’ve put money on. FRAUD of a company. Give me my money back you scammers

### 1/5 — Broken

*2026-01-24, version 5.2.1*

It won’t upload photos. Just says, “something went wrong.”

### 1/5 — Useless / No Funtionality

*2026-01-18, version 5.2.1*

The app is so poorly designed, it’s not worth downloading. Almost all the functions you might need (such as submitting claims) need to be done via the webpage. The app basically just serves to show you how much money is in your account - useless.

### 2/5 — Where is the HSA?

*2026-01-09, version 5.2.1*

I had an FSA last year and it is still there, but this year i got an HSA and it does not show up. Why? I have to go online to see my HSA through safari but there I cannot see the FSA??? So I need safari for HSA and the app for FSA? This seems like madness especially since I can log in with the same credentials to both places and yet see totally different experiences. So dumb. The FSA management was “fine” if you allow for some of the pages which were truncated and things like that. So maybe 2 stars because it “worked” for the one thing, but was still frustrating at times.

### 1/5 — Can’t See Benefits

*2026-01-07, version 5.2.1*

After logging into the app, the main benefits screen is completely blank. You can’t do anything with the app other than look at your profile or your debit card.

### 1/5 — Useless App

*2026-01-05, version 5.2.1*

It is crazy that one of the most prominent FSA/HSA/COBRA providers does not have a functional app (nor have they ever, based on reviews and update history). But this app is completely useless. You can’t see any benefit info, submit claims, or, well, do anything. I have COBRA through Navia. When I log in to the app, I can see my home address and email, but that is literally it! I can’t do or see anything else!

The website is only marginally better. My last call to customer service, I was treated like an inconvenience. I can’t get an explanation as to why my benefits were shut off despite up to date payments. Dealing with this company is a nightmare.

### 2/5 — Face recognition

*2025-12-31, version 5.2.1*

Needs to be updated I need to put the password every time.

### 1/5 — Sign in verification

*2025-12-29, version 5.2.1*

When signing in after downloading app the verification process doesn’t work. I get the code via text but the app doesn’t allow me to type the code into the verification window.

### 1/5 — Can’t change address

*2025-11-29, version 5.2.1*

If you try to change your shipping address it says phone number filed is required but it doesn’t have a phone number filed to fill out.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2025-11-08, version 5.2.1*

What an awful app. Nothing shows up. Customer service is painfully slow

### 1/5 — Please fix your application.

*2025-10-29, version 5.2.1*

$65,000,000+ in revenue but…
This app has been non-functional or limited functionality for years per the comments…

Cannot login due to system errors in sending verifications.

### 1/5 — Can’t even login

*2025-10-18, version 5.2.1*

It kept stuck in the “please wait” login page

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-10-06, version 5.2.1*

App looks like it's from 1999

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2025-08-07, version 5.2.1*

Keeps telling me can’t process my request and to call customer service. No issue logging into their website via computer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t play nice with iPhone

*2026-07-24, version 6.0.0*

Constantly looses facial recognition and doesn’t play well with iPhone stored passwords either. So when I need it at a doctors office to check balance it never works unless I can remember the difficult password or instead choose to use an easy and therefore less secure password. Even then, most of the time using the correct login it says I’m not using the correct username or password when I definitely am. Thankfully I can login through a browser. But the app is completely unreliable even with the latest updates.
Furthermore the debit card they send you is super cheap and often struggles to work on card readers. Terrible app and not impressed with their quality of service. But, alas, this is what my new employer uses so I’m stuck.

### 1/5 — Unusable if you log in through your employer

*2026-07-09, version 6.0.0*

When I go to the Navia website through a browser, I log in through an employer website to access my account. The app does not allow login through an external website, so anyone who logs in this way cannot use the app at all.

### 1/5 — Biometric/Face ID not working

*2026-06-30, version 6.0.0*

Biometric is not working after latest update. Please fix!

### 1/5 — Truly terrible

*2026-06-25, version 6.0.0*

This app is borderline unusable. The UX is ugly, unresponsive, doesn’t align with Apple guidelines, and is clunky to interact with. Even with their “new design” they managed to make it even worse than it was before. Just start over.

### 1/5 — A lot of room for improvements

*2026-05-03*

I want to like the Navia app, but the user experience needs significant improvement. Facial recognition frequently fails when first opening the app, forcing me to close the app completely and reopen it before Face ID will work. This is frustrating and unnecessary for something that should be seamless.

The overall interface also feels outdated and overly simplistic compared to competing financial/benefits apps. Navigation, design, and usability do not meet the standard users expect today. There is a lot of room for improvement in both functionality and modern UI design.

Please address the Face ID reliability issues and invest in a more polished, competitive user experience.

### 1/5 — Can’t login

*2026-04-21, version 5.2.1*

With the credentials identical that I’m using for chrome, I can’t login in the app. After few failed attempts the account gets locked.

### 1/5 — Live agent is replaced by AI which keep repeating a stupid answer

*2026-04-06, version 5.2.1*

0 star

### 1/5 — Wont Load

*2026-04-05, version 5.2.1*

All I need is my tax documents and I can’t get them. The app is basically just a link to an external website. When I click the link to go to the portal it doesn’t even load.

### 1/5 — So bad UX

*2026-03-26, version 5.2.1*

The password requirements are pretty strong, no chance to remember but generated password stops working after few months. Same issue with face id. You need to improve that processes.

### 1/5 — Run, don’t walk

*2026-03-23, version 5.2.1*

Completely unsurprising they leaked my SSN in a hack. No investment in their IT despite all their fees.

Will automatically turn investments back on to prevent transfers out

Poor functionality, highest fees I’ve ever seen, even for an HSA. Doesn’t actually get much worse.

Crooks

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Looks like their customer service got improved lately

*2025-12-15, version 5.2.1*

They are finally turning around. Props for them for trying to improve in their customer support and approval

### 5/5 — If you have an FSA account, it works

*2025-08-04, version 5.2.1*

All these reviews were outdated and I almost didn’t bother to download. I haven’t used it a ton but way better than going through Safari…

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2025-07-21, version 5.2.1*

MyNavia App is easy to use and works well. A welcome improvement from other FSA providers I previously used.

### 5/5 — 5 Star Company :)

*2024-01-21*

Am I biased.. because I’m an employee?? Yes.. lolol but we deserve more than 1 star 😭 Navia is a family owned company that has been around for a very long time. The company has good values and treats employees well ♥️ our developers and all departments work very hard to provide for our participants/customers. I’ve never worked a job before that had managers who are willing to work with you if you’re struggling with things like your metrics. I can’t speak for employees on other teams, but my manager has been amazing! All the upper management that I’m under has been. (I know this review should be on something like Glassdoor, Indeed, etc. lolol but I feel like it’s important for participants to know 🤣 because a lot of the app reviews are regarding our CS team) At most CS jobs, if you struggle one week or have an off day, most leadership will just scold you.. or micromanage.. or go on a power trip and talk down to you like you’re 🗑️. I’ve actually never worked a ‘customer service’ job that WASN'T that way. Not at Navia 🥺 you truly feel those ‘family owned’ values and I’ve just really appreciated it while working here!! Advocating for and educating our participants is HUGE in this position. And I really feel like we do our absolute best to do so. Of course, we’re dealing with tax-free funds and IRS regulations.. so there are going to be scenarios where we have to deliver bad news to people.. it’s 100% what I dislike most about this job.. and I wish people would know that it’s just as painful for us as it is for you 😭 Okay anyways.. lol again, this might not be the best place for this review 🤣 but I know all our departments work very hard! That goes for our Tech team/app developers as well. I feel like some of these reviews just aren’t warranted 🥲 if you’re having login troubles- give CS a call!! ♥️ (seems like most reviews mention login trouble) I’ve never received a call where I couldn’t get somebody logged in! We’re always happy to help and that’s def gotta be our most common call 🥰 it’s the most common, and the easiest!

### 5/5 — Success

*2023-07-10*

Don’t know what the other reviews are talking about. Submitted a claim for reimbursement successfully and it’s a way better user experience than mobile web.

### 5/5 — Great FSA App that shows every time card is used

*2021-10-15, version 2.5.1*

I use my Navia Flex Spending acoiunt often due to major back issues.
This app by Navia FSA, shows every transaction made on date and most importantly shows my Balance.
Fun Fact, if you sign up for a Flex Account and then leave your place of employment some time from the beginning to the end of your covered year, you still have the full amount to spend even though you haven’t paid for it. This help me after a back Surgery when I changed jobs a few months before and went to sign up for new flex spending with my new employer and they told me I didn’t need to do that because the agreement works both ways. If you pay in $2,000.00 and only spend $1,500.00, the FDA keeps your $500.00.
So why not use the benefit side of this account, if switching jobs.

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2020-05-04, version 2.4.2*

Really easy app to use. Claim submission process very quick and easy.

### 5/5 — Much improved

*2019-11-07, version 2.4.1*

After the recent updates, the app functions very well for me and makes handling my benefits easy.

### 4/5 — so easy to use

*2022-05-16, version 2.8.0*

i find the app very simple and straightforward
knock on wood i have never had any issues entering a claim
very easy to navigate

### 4/5 — Login Issues

*2021-08-05, version 2.5.1*

I use password manager to enter username and password (complex long password). I noticed app would say username and password are invalid.

TRICK
Saved username with provided checkbox. Then used password manager to paste in password. After paste add a character and then delete it. Then log in. WORKS

To the developers:
This is likely due to the change event not being triggered by paste but the typed in char triggers. I have seen this on other apps and web pages. You may be able to tie another event to the same handler and fix.

Also, LastPass sees URL as localhost. Not sure if you can make this more unique so LastPass and other password managers can identify the app and pick the correct record.

Hope this helps.
