### 2/5 — Janky app do not recommend

*2026-07-14, version 4.2.6*

The idea behind this is great but I'm pretty sure there's no science to back it up. The app is clearly designed by somebody whose first language is an English so there's lots of weird stuff.

Also at one point they're telling you to focus on one spot and do not move your eyes from that spot and then they start putting information on the bottom that you're supposed to read which means you have to move your eyes off the spot. It makes no sense

My guess is there's nothing real about this app other than them trying to make some money.

### 2/5 — App is ok but it’s impossible to use

*2026-03-18, version 4.0.2*

When I first started I used this many times a day. It did give me some issues with interrupting the session for a “kit placement check “ and to ask me to stop “moving” because the signal was lost on the headband. As I continued it got worse and worse. I met with the Myndlift rep for “troubleshooting” and of course after awhile she’d get it to work, just like me.

But now it’s constant interruptions, constant “kit placement checks” a total of 4 in about 6 minutes of training. Each time I reach out to the Myndlift team they keep pushing for another “troubleshooting” meeting which doesn’t solve the issue at all. What’s the point of constantly “troubleshooting “

The headband is sensitive and gets more and more with time. It’s become so impossible to use, I had to downgrade from 100 plus subscription to 29.00 to now canceling and can’t even get benefit from my last month. So while the app and program might be helpful my review is based on the entire picture which has been very frustrating .

### 4/5 — Supports training effectively

*2026-02-11, version 3.9.9*

The app does what it’s supposed to, and the developers have been improving it incrementally for as long as I’ve used it (5+ years).

Solid interface and plenty of controls to customize training to fit different preferences while still remaining effective.

I like the YouTube training most.

### 4/5 — It works for me

*2025-11-19, version 3.9.1*

I really like the app and it helps me a lot. The issue is that some people have bugs connecting to the headband. Plus the app may not run that well on other devices. For comparison I’m using a newer iPhone but some people with older may have issues with connecting or running the app. I know it has some bugs as well. Aside from that the app works well for me and others. I really like the selection of activities you can use to train your brain. This is a review that I hope inspires people to get this app and train their brain to stay calm and focus. This is a 4 star app.
Bye I guess

PS: devs I think it should be optimize able so others with older devices can use this easier.

### 4/5 — السعودية

*2025-06-08, version 3.7.5*

ممممممممممتاااااااز مع الدكتوره ريما الهويش فقط والبرنامج والتمارين المناسبه لكل حاله عل حده ماتشوف التحسن بفضل الله وكرمه إلا معاها

### 3/5 — I like it

*2025-04-01, version 3.6.9*

I got a 11\12 on my test today so this app got me relaxed.

### 2/5 — Stay away

*2025-03-22, version 3.6.8*

My experience with Myndlift and the Muse 2 has been consistently negative. There are constant Bluetooth connection issues, the electrode stopped working after two months, and the Muse 2 is so incredibly finicky it’s ridiculous. I have had maybe 5 good sessions total out of 32. I have watched the placement videos to death, and have ensured placement is perfect. I am tired of simply trying to use this app and the Muse 2 device. It takes a lot for me to leave a review, and here we are.

### 5/5 — Helped with TBI recovery

*2025-02-06, version 3.6.1*

After sustaining a severe TBI, I took on Neurofeedback as an outpatient thing to do. Over the years (especially when the pandemic hit), I used Myndlift on my own, either doing the games, or watching Netflix. Overall, my memory and attention have improved and I truly think Myndlift has played a part in that. Give it a shot.

### 3/5 — Needs Dark mode

*2025-01-30, version 3.5.7*

Many people use Myndlift before bed, often with the specific intent of promoting good sleep. The bright screen in the app is counter-productive. Please add a dark mode.

### 4/5 — Dark mode needed

*2024-12-10*

Dark mode with minimal blue light seems like a key feature which should be added given that people often use this app at night, and before bed.

Ps. Crashes and logout have been fixed in the recent version. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-12-07, version 3.5.0*

It is helping me to understand why I have problems.

### 5/5 — Watched Anthony Robbins

*2024-11-26, version 3.5.0*

Change your state you can change anything.
Something like that. Is what he says.
This training session should up my average score on all accounts.
Thanks Tony.

Love this app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t really use it without wasting hrs for set up

*2026-06-29, version 4.2.2*

Awful app

### 1/5 — WHY DO YOU NEED ALL OF MY DATA???

*2026-04-07, version 4.0.7*

are you kidding me!!! what do you people need with my CONTACTS INFO?? what do you need OTHER DATA FOR?? what are you all doing with all my DATA???? NOTHING! BECAUSE I'VE DELETED THIS SPYWARE!!!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-04-03, version 4.0.6*

Can’t even get the sign up page to load correctly. Tried uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling and still nothing.

### 1/5 — Bad shipping

*2025-12-23, version 3.9.6*

They use a terrible shipping company APC postal logistics to deliver the electrode, which is the most important tool for the whole service. Because of this, they keep you waiting for a month or more, and the parcel may end up lost entirely. They should really consider using a better carrier given that this tool is essential to activate the service.

It is hilarious that the subscription automatically starts within two weeks (when they expect the client to receive it), yet when you ask them, they say international parcels take 21 business days. As a result, I have to keep reaching out to Customer Service just to extend my activation date. Judge for yourself. Btw I have not received it yet. The order was paid on 28/11 and now is 23/12.

### 1/5 — Expensive and super buggy

*2025-05-08, version 3.7.3*

I constantly have to allot a full hour for a 30 min session because of technical issues at setup, but more so the app crashing or not working correctly during the session which defeats the purpose of the training.

I’ve used this on multiple devices and still have issues.

Submitting tickets for help gives you an AI response and nothing meaningful. I have found this experience to be more stressful and frustrating than positive.

### 1/5 — Removed free focus training? Really?

*2025-03-18, version 3.6.8*

Option is gone, there is only focused calm, and calm

### 1/5 — WHY DO YOU NEED ALL OF MY DATA???

*2025-01-20, version 3.5.6*

are you kidding me? what do you people need with my CONTACT INFO?? what do you need OTHER DATA FOR?? what are doing with all my DATA???? NOTHING, CUZ I'VE DELETED THIS SPYWARE!!!!!

### 1/5 — Does not connect

*2024-07-24, version 3.3.7*

I’ve had three flights and a dentist appointment this week and by far the most stressful part of my week is Myndlift. My Muse headband connects to the Muse app in a second. It takes 15 to 30 minutes to connect to Myndlift. It fails on placement, calibration takes ages, then it fails during training anyway. Please don’t use this, just use the Muse app.

### 1/5 — Crashing immediately since update 3.3.1

*2024-06-14, version 3.3.1*

Tried on multiple devices and even uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and keeps crashing within 30seconds.

### 1/5 — Might work for some people but don't like what they do with personal data

*2024-03-26, version 3.2.2*

I had a very bad experience with this particular device. I am told by the neurologists that I'm working with that my brain map is the worst they have ever seen and that this device is simply not adequate to the task. All it is is a very sensitive meditation device. It gives you feedback about how well you are meditating which is great if you want to be a better meditator. I'm sure it helps a lot of people Plenty of other people seem to have benefited from it -- but I can't say that I have. I am seriously brain injured and I cannot believe that anybody thought that this would help me. The organization I was working with was a joke and that's the problem with this product. Anybody anywhere can tell you to buy the headset and the app and set you up with it and then completely ignore you and take your money and do nothing good for you. They ended up giving me all my money back after a week because it was so obvious that it was not adequate to my needs. My number one complaint and the reason I would suggest nobody use this app is their privacy policy is an outrage. They have responded by saying this is not true -- they keep insisting that only if you click "yes you may use my information for research" that they share it but that is not what their privacy policy says so if that's really what they're doing they need to rewrite their privacy policy. Not to mention their claim if you do allow them to use your materials for research is that they anonymize it. Well I've been in IT for 25 years and I follow these issues very closely, so let me tell you a secret that pretty much everybody in IT knows -- there's really no such thing as permanently anonymizing your data. Google was caught deanonymizing data over and over again over the years because it just takes the flip of a switch or the click of a button -- no effort required whatsoever and everybody knows that if they anonymize your data they're going to deanonymize your data because it's a lot more valuable to them that way. Since they claim their privacy policy is not what I say it is, let me read it to you here. (You can easily find it by going to the App Store and scrolling down to their privacy policy and clicking on it. If I could share images here I would because trust me it doesn't take many brains to see what it says. You don't have to be an IT expert to understand the little logos and shorthand information you're being given by Apple because Apple really cares whether you know about this or not.). "the following data may be collected and linked to your identity: Location; user content" (e.g., anything you write down anywhere in here is open for them to use if desired); "search history" (meaning anything you're doing on your phone using your browser is now also their business to take home with them). There are also other things such as "contact info" and "other data" which could include every single other thing in your phone – there's really no way of knowing. If you read the long website version you get the same basic information except they go into detail about the research choice which makes no sense because they take your data either way. I don't understand why they bother to make a distinction. There's probably PII and PHI in the research and that's what they have to ask your permission for grabbing it (PII=personally identifiable information and PHI=personal health information, which are two kinds of HIPAA protected data that they legally have to be extremely careful with). They can go to town with all the rest of the information they gather on you. Bottom line: This is a mental health app and they are encouraging you to journal and answer all sorts of assessments and basically reveal your innermost thoughts and feelings and then they give you a privacy policy that allows them to capture almost all of what you are doing with very limited exceptions and collect it and share it etc. When you write in their journal sections, they claim that they are encrypted and nobody else can read them unless you decide to share it with your therapist. So, if you *do* decide to share it with your therapist that means that the app owner also has access. In theory, this means they can collect all of your personal thoughts and add it to the data they are collecting about you. All of this should be illegal, but since it isn't, I put the app on a phone that I don't use for anything except Microsoft teams meetings for work. (I have of course since deleted it since it wasn't working for me). That particular phone has no searches no other apps except my work apps which will be meaningless to these guys anyway. If you have it on your everyday phone, you're getting all of your data captured and shared commercially. Most apps do most of this so this is not a shock -- except that this is a *mental health app* and I would expect them to have a much stricter privacy policy than what I have read both in detail and in brief on the App Store and on their website. And to remind you of what I said at the beginning – this thing is simply a device to help you learn to meditate really really well which is all very well and good and an outstanding talent to have but if you think you're going to cure yourself of a brain injury or a serious mental health problem like OCD or something like that with it, then all I can say is good luck. I would say it's very unlikely. Real Neurofeedback is done with much stronger and better put together equipment and that that would be something that might help you. Of course insurance doesn't cover any of this but as far as I'm concerned if you go to an organization to get Neurofeedback and they try to send you home with this as a remote device I would say you are wasting your time. The equipment they have on-site is infinitely better and you would be infinitely better off using the high-powered equipment in the office. Don't fall for the Remote stuff using this app -- it's not the same at all.
