There are interesting and useful features. However, the app is quite slow, not to mention communication with the vehicle, even when I’m right next to it. Also, there is a nice tab under customer support called “manual & quick guides”. Why is it empty? Then there are worse apps. Then there are apps that are so bad that they make you laugh. And then there is this hot pile of garbage. I’ve had this app for a year. It used to work but would insanely lag even on the simplest of tasks. It was annoying but at least it would work (most of the times). Over the last year there have been many, many glitches that I’ve had to live with (because there is no other choice) - from charge commands glitching to climate controls not working responsively and the app having no control over seat/steering wheel heating/cooling. But at least it worked. Till today. The app refuses to connect to the car. I’ve reinstalled the app, restarted the car’s infotainment system, switched wifi to cellular etc etc. The app is dead. And that’s a shame because in 2026, the app is an integral and fundamental part of the EV experience. I would not recommend anyone to buy the Ariya because of how AWFUL the app is. ### 1/5 — So inconsistent *2026-01-31, version 9.7.57* This is not a user friendly system. Sometimes it works. Most time you just become frustrated and use the key fob. Smart Controls and car video screen constantly don’t behave properly. Always doing factory resets and reinstalling settings. For example, it does not immediately reflect the remaining fuel range (kilometers left), and it also does not update the vehicle status correctly (such as whether the car is locked or unlocked). It would be very helpful if the widget could refresh automatically and show the latest vehicle information without needing to open the app. Please consider fixing this issue in a future update, as the widget is very useful but currently not updating properly.
