### 5/5 — Fantastic app!

*2021-11-21, version 3.0.2*

I would just like to congratulate the developers for this fantastic app. Some fantastic presets, and it is very easy and intuitive to alter them if you so wish, and the ‘random’ preset button is a blessing too. I’m not sure if they have taken it from elsewhere or come up with it themselves, but I also love the graphical method (if that’s what you’d call it!) of changing the attack/release etc. Further it has full integration with GarageBand, so you can access it within GarageBand, and then really put it to use! I’m no pro so I just play around with it and have fun, but I’ve had many hours of fun already!

The only thing I would like to suggest to the developers, is to further develop the arpeggiator. I find myself using the one in GarageBand instead as it gives you a lot more control, however for some reason when I connect it to my digital piano, it doesn’t run via the GarageBand arpeggiator, I suppose instead it’s going straight into Mynth.

Otherwise, solid 10/10 from me. (Also it seems very stable, it’s never crashed or struggled or had features play up or not work, even better!)

### 5/5 — Raw, Organic, Interesting, Immediate, Tangible

*2021-11-12, version 3.0.2*

Many often express the opinion “synth a, b, c etc. is the best synth in iOS”, all completely subjective, of course.
Mynth, however, could actually indeed be for one of the best synths on iOS, objectively. Why? Because I said so!

### 5/5 — This is a great synth

*2021-09-09*

I’ve been looking for a nice sounding synth app with a interface that inspired me as much as the op1. This fits the bill perfectly! Really easy to use and automation is incredibly intuitive. Well done Fingerlab

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2021-09-05, version 3.0*

Just complex enough. Great design. This is my favorite iOS synth

### 5/5 — The little synth that could… and then grow up.

*2021-07-08, version 3.0*

The lfo to X and Y controls is major! It’s so nice to see the capabilities of this synth improve, and stay one page. But on that subject - I’m having problems with drawing waveforms because of the placement of the pop-up on my iPhone. Just a little bit south may mean that the phones pull-down won’t get activated while I’m drawing the waveform at the top of the box.

### 5/5 — Very Nice!

*2021-05-15*

I like it.....it is really fun....thank you!

### 5/5 — Awesome Update

*2021-05-07, version 2.0*

Amazing and very useful update. Being able to modulate the FX lends to pure gorgeousness
When applying the FX to patches!

### 5/5 — Excellent synth, lots of character

*2021-05-06, version 2.0*

The fact that it’s free is a very pleasant throwback to the old days of ios music making when there were a lot more cool free music apps coming out. This approach makes me happy to spring for the IAP (as opposed to, say, subscription models…)

Anyway, the important stuff: I can’t think of another synth that sounds like it, and the UI is nice - simple and straightforward.

Great for drony pads, dirty stabs, raw textures. Especially cool when played polyphonically (chords, etc.)

Enthusiastic yes on this one. 👍

### 5/5 — Sweet Synth Fun!

*2021-04-28, version 1.1*

Don’t let any negative comments about this synth hinder you from purchasing. This synth is instant fun and fully capable of all sorts of interesting sonics. Very unique and the fun factor is high on this one. Good job dev.

### 5/5 — Bad dev, mediocre app

*2021-04-28, version 1.1*

Sorry to say that since I am a big fan of iOS music production but even if the app sounds good there are so many bugs that make it less enjoyable (parameters not exposed in AUM, presets not accessible in Drambo, arp does not work as expected, sending midi to fugue machine does not work etc...). The big thing that make me sad is that the bugs are the same as the other dev apps. Reported several time. Never got a reply.

Updated

They finally listen to community. They fixed all the thing and also added so many new nice features.
Great move. Thanks

### 5/5 — Absolutely LOVE this app!

*2021-04-23, version 1.0*

I’m playing with this on a spare iPad 5 running the latest iOS.

No issues or crashing in standalone.

No crashing or issues sending midi to it from LK in standalone.

I’ve now got it hosted in apeMatrix and still sending midi to it from LK. Still no issues or crashes. I also don’t mind the presets in the host.

I like what this dev does... the app sounds great... it’s fun... it kind of unique... it’s universal and even runs on the mac!

Just installed on my mac mini M1 and it's working perfectly. Unlike many of the other iOS apps that kind of work on BigSur... this one works as well on the M1 as it does on the iPad. And unlike several other apps that run on M1, Mynth's interface actually vector scales to full screen with full resolution!

And when I say this works on macOS... it's actually written to work on macOS, not just an iOS app that happens to sort of work with macOS. This one feels just as native on macOS as it does on iOS.

I'd like to see parameters exposed in AU, but other than that... I have no problem purchasing this app's IAP to fully unlock!

It's even got a small 27MB footprint.

I've been a fan of this developer since the extremely fun, excellent and underrated Musyc Pro app. I purchased the IAPs for that one too and it's still works perfectly.

Enthusiastically unlocking the full IAP on this one!

### 1/5 — so freemium

*2022-02-01, version 3.0.2*

i wanted it free.

### 1/5 — No Audio Unit on Mac

*2021-04-14*

No Audio Unit on mac... so bad news !
Please be carefull before buying

**Developer response:** Wa are working on this, Audio Unit for Mac will come soon!

### 2/5 — CPU usage so high

*2025-08-30, version 3.1.4*

😟

### 2/5 — Midi stucks notes

*2022-06-18, version 3.0.2*

With external keyb stucks notes

### 2/5 — Fun to play with, but

*2021-04-10, version 1.0*

It’s fun to play with drawing Waveshapes but disappointed in the results ( have the upgrade and find this true of the presets). Upgrade cost 5 times what the initial purchase is.

### 3/5 — (Noch?) nicht ganz ausgereift

*2021-09-23*

+ Eigene Wellenformen zeichnen
+ Random Funktionen
- Die Bedienung der Envelopes ist sehr „fummelig“ (Regler wären als Alternative schön….)
- Der Anteil des Filter Envelopes ist nicht regelbar

Wegen der genannten Kritikpunkte habe ich den Synth deinstalliert….

### 4/5 — how do you add this as an AU into logic?

*2024-02-09, version 3.0*

it says you can make it an AU (which is supported by logic) but idk how pls help

### 4/5 — Petit bijou

*2022-11-24*

J’adore jouer avec, Mynth est ultra intuitif et efficace même sur un vieil iPad basic.

Il manque un bout de séquenceur dedans (histoire d’enregistrer au format Mynth et améliorer les prises), mais c’est un tres chouette jouet.

### 4/5 — Please update the app

*2021-08-07, version 3.0*

I’m having audio bugs

### 4/5 — Nice Synth

*2021-05-07, version 2.0*

UPDATE: latest release solves my biggest issues. Double-tap a modulator to remove it’s destinations, keyboard octaves, and visual feedback for ADSR adjustments. Great improvements! (Still can’t figure out how to route the oscillators through a filter without an envelope, but there are ways around that.)

Thanks for the update!

This is a lovely looking and sounding synth, but I found it very difficult to modify/create my own sounds. I couldn’t figure out how to route the VCOs into the filters without an envelope (I guess just 0 attack, 0 decay 100% sustain?) and it was very difficult and fiddly to adjust the ADSR envelopes. I was trying to fine tune the attack of the filter envelope and couldn’t get it just right with just dragging the attack bubble around. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to remove a destination for the LFO modulations once I’d added it to some parameter. Couldn’t figure out how to change octaves on the keyboard. There are some nice presets and lovely sounds, but this feels like it could use some enhancements to make it more usable.

### 5/5 — very interesting and quick way to do subtractive

*2024-03-07, version 3.1*

I noticed the dev is still working on it… so here’s my wishes for future updates (please):
- mono + glide
- better arpeggiator
- more midi learns (i.e. arp params or even just arp on/off

### 5/5 — Cool

*2024-02-24*

I’m not a sound designer, just a sound engineer, but this app is superb! Interface is pretty clear, there is a lot of functions + the price isn’t expensive (btw I haven’t purchase it yet). You’ve made one of my favorite iOS apps, thank you!
