And who knows what they will say in two years. If you’ve tried contacting them by phone, you already know why this is not helpful, given staffing considerations during the pandemic. ### 1/5 — Access issues *2021-11-22, version 1.0.4* The website is designed to lock you out of your account for five days, and not inform you about the lockout. MyNycers will allow you to retrieve your username, but if you want to reset your password, MyNycers will not send you an email. I suspect the lockout is more permanent. Seemingly, your only recourse is to wait over two hours on the phone to provide identifying information to a human being, who may or may not remove the lockout on your account citing the 5-day lockout requirement. I have no idea why they don’t use two-factor verification. ### 1/5 — Issues *2021-10-27, version 1.0.4* There is always an issue with this application now you can’t even login because you get a message please contact NYCERS I’m about to delete this app ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App is not working! *2026-08-03, version 1.0.63* I have previously used the App, but recently after “updates” it will not open after entering my name and password. I have deleted the App (multiple times) and reloaded it, but to no avail. There is some bust in the app and it should be corrected. As important as this app is, this is annoying and it’s exhausting. Once signed on, it’s pretty decent how you can become self sufficient and complete task online without mailing forms the antiquated way. Even after typing in the TOTALLY correct user & password, the system indicates that it’s incorrect 😐 Then, when you shoot for a password reset, the link NEVER arrives to your email on file!! Get it together guys! There’s no app preferences available and it’s glitchy AF! And what happened to dark mode?! It’s like somebody wrote this program on a 5.5” floppy disk and the city is just too cheap to upgrade. They recommended mobile app so I downloaded it and after several attempts to log in, and getting error messages, finally was able to get on. After submitting check info, kept getting error messages to call NYCERS by phone. Tried again few more times before finally getting submitted.
