## Newest reviews (17 of 65)

### 3/5 — Update

*2026-07-08, version 5.13.0*

The app repeatedly said it needs and update and sends you back to the App Store…pay your programmer to fix it

### 1/5 — near useless. crashes. freezes. buggy.

*2024-05-28, version 4.10.0*

buggy. Not ready for prime time. not ready for anytime.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2024-01-06, version 4.7.0*

I wish I could give it a zero star rating. Impossible to set up. Tries to force me to enter an incorrect home address. When I gave up and selected the address they forced on me, the App rejected it because it was incorrect. The App will not let me enter my actual correct address. The ONCOR App won’t let me select ONCOR as my retail provider.

### 1/5 — They don’t even have my provider in the system

*2023-12-28, version 4.7.0*

This is a total waste of my time. It’s required that I put my provider into the system. I have tried to communicate to them that it’s not in the system and they don’t even respond. So I’ve given up and writing this review on my experience. They don’t seem really to care at all.

### 1/5 — The biggest crooks

*2023-09-09, version 4.6.0*

What is the point of conserving energy when you still charge an arm and leg and can’t restore power in a timely manner in triple digit weather?! Oncor is a ripoff!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-05-25, version 4.2.0*

Can’t even get signed up. Literally looking at my electric bill for account numbers and app says invalid information.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2023-02-03, version 3.5.0*

Complete waste of time, you have some virtual assistant you have to text first, and even though all your info is on the app, you have to start all over with each and every computer or person you text. The outage map doesn’t work, you have go through all the steps again just to find out they haven’t updated or do not know. Save time and effort just go to the website

### 1/5 — Breaks Siri if you allow Speech Recognition Access

*2022-10-24, version 3.2.0*

Order iOS 16, most speech was broken. Finally figure out that Privacy & Security -> Speech Recognition had MyOncor App Enabled.

My suspicion is that the sending of the speech data to the MyOncor app developers was failing, making any “off phone” Siri request fail.

### 1/5 — Stupid updates

*2022-10-23, version 3.2.0*

So, another app that *REQUIRES* you to download an update before you can use it. Because they have some ‘exciting new features’. Meanwhile I am sitting in the dark from an hours long power outage (so far) and barely functioning cell service (excruciatingly slow transfer rate) and instead of knowing what’s going on now I have to update the $&@&$%# app! 🤬😡
Plus, it’s apparently forgotten my recently used account info. Wasting my battery life and cell data. And time. All because this company won’t allow you to use (potentially) yesterday’s download.

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t even download to my phone

*2022-08-23, version 3.1.0*

It’s not a big install, but it wouldn’t even download (cell signal is about 75%, so plenty of signal). All the recent reviews were terrible so I opted to cancel the install after waiting several minutes.

### 1/5 — Frozen

*2021-12-18, version 2.12.0*

App is frozen. iOS won’t let you delete and reload app to correct the problem.

### 1/5 — Currently not working

*2021-11-04, version 2.12.0*

I can’t report an outage during the last 2 weeks.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-10-27, version 2.12.0*

“Address not found” even with address smart fill

### 1/5 — App is BROKEN

*2021-10-21, version 2.12.0*

App is broken. It doesn’t load any data, other than the main image which redirects to a blank page. How can Oncor not be aware of this?

### 1/5 — Broken

*2021-10-07, version 2.12.0*

Well done, your last update broke the app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2021-09-18, version 2.12.0*

Last few times I’ve opened the app, it opens to a white screen and nothing else

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2021-09-07, version 2.11.0*

It doesn’t work at all, and if it does it’s confusing.

Like seriously, what purpose is there to have this in its current state? It’s antithetical to the very thing you need it for.

WASTED ELECTRICITY

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sucky app

*2026-06-18, version 5.13.0*

"chat with Sara" needs to be updated or find a human who can be a virtual assistant. This app wouldn’t let me provide my feedback bc it was negative.. so I’m proving feedback in the app store for everyone to read. DONT download this app. It’s cheaply made and the quality isn’t even basically good.

### 1/5 — Not as good as it used to be even.

*2026-05-19, version 5.15.0*

This is the worst app. Didn’t save my info from before the upgrade. Made me retype everything because they were too lazy to add auto input like other apps. Then had to guess at which of the results was my provider until I “got it right”. Stupid.

### 1/5 — Waste of Time

*2025-03-05, version 5.2.0*

Not helpful

### 1/5 — Does Not Work When You Need It Most

*2025-03-04, version 5.2.0*

The download for this app is huge. Worse yet, it does not work when you need critically important information. It is slow in bringing up chat with a service teams. The outage maps are slow if not impossible to load using cellular accounts…when home WiFi has no power. You’d think that Oncor would have made the app lean and functional for times when power is out and demand is high. But they’re a government-backed monopoly with no incentive to serve the end users. Poor performing. Don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Cannot put in address or retail provider

*2025-01-06, version 5.1.0*

Tried entering my address and was told to put an address that was part of my energy providers service area. I think I know where I live and I think I know who provides my energy. Sigh.

### 1/5 — Repot outage doesn’t work

*2024-08-12, version 4.11.0*

Will fail every time there is an outage report saying billing entity information submitted is incorrect. I used the name this application automatically provided me when typing in the it in.

Useless as the app doesn’t even allow you to build a profile with info required either.

### 1/5 — less than useless for the security minded

*2024-06-04, version 4.10.0*

app refuses to utilize the CONFIGURED DEFAULT BROWSER. you are left with the vendor’s data mining browser! that said, the databases seem to be never updated. i cannot add my location because none of my providers, past or present pass muster. good luck folks

### 1/5 — They hate their customers

*2024-05-29*

This app doesn’t need to exist. They do not care that your power is out. Everything is automated and they do everything they can to prevent you from getting updates. Thank god I’m paying 30% more in 2024, and have no choice but to use this absolute dumpster fire.

### 1/5 — Functions

*2024-05-29, version 4.10.0*

I got tired of refreshing oncor’s webpage to see their message reading “At this time we do not have an estimated time of restoration”, and I saw their tweet promoting this app to stay updated on outages. This app is a really great new way to read their message that says “At this time we do not have an estimated time of restoration”. Borderline revolutionary.

They should further raise their energy prices to expand on this concept- maybe an AI chatbot that says cool stuff like “At this time we do not have an estimated time of restoration”. You’re doing great Oncor

### 1/5 — Nonfunctional, worthless

*2024-05-28, version 4.10.0*

This app is nonfunctional. I am not even able to setup my location, which is required, because of constant pop up errors. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced an app that is this unusable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thankful

*2026-01-25, version 5.13.0*

Thankful for all those that are still working to restore power. Prayers to all those hanging in there.

### 5/5 — Love the Features

*2022-01-29, version 2.13.0*

It’s nice to look at all the features as it relates to a commercial business. The monthly billing display and ease of creating an outage is very streamlined and user friendly. I can see kW and power factor on the front page and even outage reasons and work orders. Great addition for customer service.

### 5/5 — MyOncor

*2021-09-08, version 2.11.0*

My app is not working what is going on with my app

### 5/5 — Help

*2020-06-23, version 1.12.0*

My iPhone tops out at iOS 12. Do I need to buy a new iPhone to use this app?

### 5/5 — Easy to Use

*2020-06-16, version 1.11.0*

I had the pleasure of being woken up by my wife to tell me the power was out..at 2 AM 🤦‍♂️ Anyways, this app. is great! I reported the outage and started receiving texts alerts shortly thereafter.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2019-09-25*

This app is so great! I can’t wait to use it if there’s a power outage (but also hope I never have to!). Love the informative video too.

### 5/5 — Very User Friendly

*2019-09-24*

Extremely user friendly - even for someone who is not tech savvy (like myself)
