## What is Myotomes?

Where's the lesion? Myotomes is a handy quick reference guide to the neurological motor examination. It was designed by a neurologist as a ready-reference for use when examining a patient.

It lists the commonly tested movements of the upper and lower limbs, and the nerve roots, muscles and nerves that they test.

Each item can be clicked to filter the lists - so clicking C7 shows you all the movements and muscles supplied by C7. Clicking radial nerve shows you the movements and muscles supplied by the radial nerve.

A separate list covers all the commonly (and less commonly) tested reflexes and their nerve roots.

Consult a doctor if you are experiencing neurological symptoms. This app should not be relied upon to make clinical decisions, which remain the full responsibility of the user.

Myotomes is an essential reference for neurologists, emergency physicians, family doctors, medical students, paramedics, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and other medical professionals – or anyone curious about neuroanatomy and the workings of the human body.

## Key features

- Motor examination reference
- Nerve root and muscle mapping
- Filterable by nerve root/nerve

### 1/5 — Dont recommend

*2012-12-30, version 1.1*

Should have read the other reviews before purchasing. Freezes up.

### 1/5 — 1 star only because I had to

*2012-11-22, version 1.1*

I'm angry I can't get my .99 cents back. I've had this app for less than 2 minutes and it's already freezing. Take this useless app out of the app store to save people from wasting their time!!!

### 2/5 — I would really like it if...

*2012-09-15, version 1.1*

all the info was correct. C7 is tested by elbow extension and wrist flexion. C6 is tested by elbow flexion and wrist extension... It is really pertinent that you guys make this app more accurate. You could be affecting differential diagnoses everywhere. Please fix this soon. Otherwise, very useful reference app for the Physical Therapist.

### 5/5 — Really nifty little app

*2010-08-20, version 0*

Great little app that helps to localize pathology based on motor examination. Love it

### 1/5 — Reflex charts

*2010-05-25, version 0*

The worst reference ever. This is intended for lay persons. Absolutely not for even medical students.
