It would be nice to be able to register visitors plates for a parking permit quickly instead of frustratingly slow like it is. It makes me wish we still had physical parking passes in Calgary to hang in a visitors car window. Seriously, can the developers not make the app respond quicker? ### 2/5 — Can’t Modify End Time?? *2026-06-15, version 3.5.34* Defaults to max time and does not allow you set End Time like on the vpm. Tried to park in a 9h zone and only option was to pay for the entire day. Had to go do it on the vpm website instead. Devs please add so I don’t have to keep inputting my info over and over on vpm. ### 2/5 — App didn’t work *2026-04-23, version 3.5.34* App didn’t work, so I had to pay $20 instead of $12. Two different parking tickets because now because I expected it to input the right zone based on my location. Literally think they do this on purpose to get the extra cash grab. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2026-04-01, version 3.5.34* Unfortunately I have a lot of parking apps that I have downloaded and used throughout Alberta. There are some really good ones and there are some not so good ones. I would say this is the worst parking app that I have used. Most parking apps give you a list of options based on time, this app does not provide any choices. Most apps you pay as you go this app you have to load money first. So, as I am sure is designed, your account balance does not match the required fee so you are always running a positive balance. This app seem much more like a money grab than an intuitive and useful app to assist commuters. ### 1/5 — Unclear app *2026-02-19, version 3.5.34* Just paid my parking ticket. App cannot handle multiple license plates. Thought I was paying for my stay, apparently it was for other car. Screen opens to correct page but icon keeps going round and round. Cannot make any entries. However, watch the proration, some spots are flat rate which is not clear. They sold my information after parking with them. 2 days later I had scam texts saying my license was going to be “ revoked” if I didn’t pay my outstanding parking balance, spoiler alert, there was no outstanding balance. Absolute trash of a business. ### 1/5 — Typical government app *2025-12-09, version 3.5.31* So in user friendly, does not save any credit card info and requires you to fill out a novel every time you need to reload. Can’t you just save my basic details or only require my credit card info and name? Takes 5 minutes to fill everything out. Why can’t you pay with Apple Pay? Join the 21st century ### 2/5 — Horrible *2025-12-07, version 3.5.31* This is the most frustrating app I have on my phone. I’m in a rush, go to pay for parking and I need to transfer funds to the app. No problem, I’ll quickly add $20. It should be that easy but this app makes you input your credit card details including billing address every time you need to refill. I don’t know why this app can’t save my details, or allow Apple Pay. So now a task that should take 30 seconds becomes a major hassle. Also, can’t this use my gps to auto fill the zone in parking in instead of using whatever default zone? Unfortunately there are no alternatives to use so I’m stuck using this poorly designed app. ### 1/5 — Advertising through notifications *2025-11-22, version 3.5.31* The app has started pushing notifications to advertise “local deals”— without a clear way to disable this intrusive and annoying feature. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worst parking app *2026-08-29, version 3.5.34* I can’t login, can’t pay as a guest , can’t reset my password, I have already gotten two tickets and have uninstalled and reinstalled the app! Otherwise you’ll be fined. No grace period to enter or exit parking lot. ### 1/5 — Parking tickets galore!! Do not use this app!! *2026-08-08, version 3.5.34* I never had any problems with this app before June of this year (2026), but TWICE now I’ve been issued parking tickets despite paying through the app. You can download the proof of payment and send it in for administrative review, but what an absolute waste of time to do so. They just say take it up in traffic court they're arrogant rude and it's disgusting . They're not here to help solve a problem. They're here to shove it in your face and say too bad there's a glitch, but you have to pay for out failure. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-07-09, version 3.5.34* I use this app all the time, so this post isn’t about a one time-thing where the user doesn’t know what he’s doing. Parked, set it up in the app, as always, and left. Two hours later, I open the app to stop the parking and it never started. However, it started just like every other 1000 times I’ve used it, so it to not work. If I get a ticket, I’ll be pretty annoyed. Don’t get me started about the failed password attempts, even though the password is right. I’ve had to redo my password with this app about 10 times now. Why you don’t ask for plate number in the beginning before showing error for thousands of time? Result: it says wrong number and doesn’t accept to enter phone numbers. iPhone. So buggy in the most elemental functions! ### 1/5 — Brutal *2026-05-22, version 3.5.34* Bring back autofill for the app. Way to make things extra complicated and time consuming having to manually fill in all personal info and card numbers when you’re on the go. We know you have the technology. Session history - my visitor once received a ticket when the session was on and I couldn’t prove it cz I do not have session history/timestamps 2. When entering the plate details. The start button is there but it won't work for whatever reason. Kind of kills the whole convenience of it. When it does work though, it works great ### 3/5 — Auto Top-Up fixed, then broken again *2025-10-30, version 3.5.30* The security provisions now allow me to apply my RBC credit card to my account, enabling Auto TopUp. But the low-balance threshold is now fixed, at $5. That renders the Auto TopUp feature useless, because you can’t start a parking session with $7 in your account. This app used to be delightfully easy to use, but the latest series of “improvements” have not been. ### 3/5 — Needs modernisation *2025-07-18, version 3.5.28* Apple Pay or sync with existing credit card would make this easier.
