### 3/5 — Miss BBC

*2026-07-08, version 2.1.25*

Not that easy. I filled in all pages with a struggle but when I had finished it wasn’t made clear that I had actually finished. I looked out for the email today, so now I have received it, I assume all is well. Considering this is meant for retired ie older people, I think it could be clearer.

### 4/5 — App Review

*2026-06-18*

The app is pretty straightforward to use, just remember to hold the phone at eye level for the digital picture otherwise it rejects.

### 4/5 — Initial problem and a suggestion

*2026-06-15*

I have moved to the United States from Britain. From here in the USA, I first tried to use my US Green Card which is accepted as an ID everywhere. The app said something like “this document cannot be accepted, please use another document.” I then used my UK Passport, and the process was successful.

My wife, a Surrey County Pensioner, recently used her Green Card on her Surrey Pensioner app, and was successful.

It would be good if you could add the US Green Card as an acceptable ID. If my UK Passport is not with me because it has been sent back to London for renewal (it takes months to get a new passport), I will have problems using My Pensionid.

Thank you.

### 2/5 — Functionally flawed

*2026-04-03, version 2.1.25*

Previously created my ID record but this was not retained for the following year. Tried to re-enter ID data which failed at the camera step: app did not recognize camera. Repeated process without success and eventually had to delete the app and reinstall to get camera access and then it worked. Until next year…? Poor!

### 4/5 — Straight forward process.

*2026-03-16*

Good but pages very slow to download.

### 5/5 — Great Experience

*2026-02-23, version 2.1.25*

Great app - easy to sign up, easy to use. Saves a great deal of admin hassle.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-01-31, version 2.1.25*

App is very easy to use and I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Great help

*2026-01-30*

I used this app to show that I am still alive. In previous years, I have had to bother my Rector just before Christmas to certify that I’m alive. Then I had to rely on the postal systems to deliver it. The process took only minutes this year.

### 5/5 — Quick & simple!

*2026-01-29, version 2.1.25*

This app really simplifies the verification process and allows you to update contact information if needed.

### 5/5 — Simple verification

*2026-01-09, version 2.1.25*

Easy to install and use. Definitely a lot simpler than getting docs witnessed, then mailed in. The instructions are clear, steps are explained well.

### 5/5 — Fairly straightforward

*2026-01-05*

Relatively speaking, I found this application easy to use
It did take about 3 attempts to take an acceptable photo of my document, but the quality determination meant I couldn’t submit until it was going to be okay
Overall it was quick - I was pleased

### 5/5 — My pension ID form

*2025-11-28, version 2.1.25*

I have never found it as easy as it was to fill in a form, attach photos send it off and receive feedback the next day
Excellent absolutely amazing

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2025-11-19, version 2.1.25*

Very straight forward to use, quick and easy

### 5/5 — Pension App

*2025-11-10, version 2.1.25*

Had no problems following the instructions. A very user friendly way to update information.

### 5/5 — So quick and easy to use

*2025-10-23, version 2.1.25*

I was dreading this process as I thought I’d have to present documentation somewhere! However, using the app was fantastic, so straightforward with easy to follow instructions.

### 4/5 — My pension id 2025

*2025-10-15, version 2.1.25*

I had to delete old my Pensionid before I could get my information to work. All went well then. Photo was easy in right light. 👍🏼

### 5/5 — Faultless

*2025-10-13, version 2.1.25*

Very easy to use, no issues and speedily completed.

### 3/5 — Average

*2025-10-09, version 2.1.25*

The app failed immediately as I tried to copy and paste my security credentials into the app from the email provided. It did copy in but the app didn’t recognize the entry. I was told to type the credentials into and it worked. Primitive interface.

### 5/5 — Review

*2025-10-09, version 2.1.25*

There has been a vast improvement than the previous app which made it far easier to use . Staff very helpful and friendly when phoning .

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No idea what it’s for

*2026-03-16, version 2.1.25*

It kept on talking about registering, nothing about VERIFYING my existence. Then when I had registered, al it told me was I had successfully registered. Nothing about verifying my existence to my pension provider.

### 1/5 — Hangs at the end of the process

*2025-10-07*

The app hangs at the end of the process.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-09-23*

You spend 10 or 15 minutes putting in data, then the app just hangs. No indication that anything is wrong. Just a message saying “this may take a few seconds” and a logo that spins in perpetuity.

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t accept my photo then crashed

*2025-09-18, version 2.1.25*

Very clunky process. Rejected my driving licence so gave up and tried my passport. Accepted that then the App hung on the validation step. I was on WiFi. So had to do the process right prom the beginning. Took me 20 mins. Better than posting but rubbish.

### 1/5 — Deliberately causes stress.

*2025-05-06*

Misleading, confusing, actually endangers one’s ID. So clunky. Prompts anxiety and stress.

### 1/5 — Disgraceful

*2025-03-31*

We’ve got all your money and we’ve created an app so nobody can get verified - and we’ll likely sell all your current up to date data you input trying access the money you worked hard for…even if you do get green then you just get an orange circle of death. Pointless, joke of making it difficult to access what is rightfully yours.

### 1/5 — Human

*2025-03-24, version 2.1.25*

Yet another tool to put a barrier between humans. One more nail in the coffin of society. Better to speak with the mayor in France

### 1/5 — Impossible Guess the phone still works?

*2025-03-15*

Completely useless

Same as your last attempt

### 1/5 — Incompetent

*2025-03-14, version 2.1.25*

On my iPad the camera doesn’t open, on my iPhone it eventually worked (whose stupid idea was it to demand a big smile when gov’t docs specifically don’t want that), but then it didn’t give me the passcode I’m told I need to use it again.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-02-13, version 2.1.25*

App freezes after taking photo . Says verifying but nothing happens, I close the app and have to start again,

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Self identifying

*2026-06-29, version 2.1.25*

Really easy experience to identify that I am live and kicking. Highly recommend - it only takes a couple of minutes.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-06-15, version 2.1.25*

Easy to use, took no more than a couple of minutes and a vast improvement on having to find a JP and waste time and money traveling to them. A really good app

### 5/5 — Easy and convenient

*2026-06-02, version 2.1.25*

Updated the app as per my instructions from my company and followed the easy steps. Saved all the messing about with paper forms, posting etc

### 5/5 — Simple and fast

*2026-05-21, version 2.1.25*

One of the easiest apps to use- I found it extremely user friendly. The prompts were clear, even whilst taking the ‘live photo’. Much better than getting a paper form witnessed and then submitting it either by email, or by post back to the UK from NZ!

### 5/5 — Very easy to use.

*2026-04-25, version 2.1.25*

Took less than 5 minutes from start to finish with an email confirmation follow up.

### 5/5 — Andrew

*2026-04-02, version 2.1.25*

Very easy to use and a much better system of ID verification than paper. Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Overseas pension holder

*2026-04-01, version 2.1.25*

Easy to use. Saves time on messing around posting information back to the UK, as it takes weeks to months from Australia.

### 5/5 — MyPensionID

*2026-04-01, version 2.1.25*

Vic

### 5/5 — So Simple

*2026-03-26*

The app was easy to download, very clear instructions, took me less than five minutes to complete my task, results were immediate. What more do you need.

### 5/5 — Secure, simple, brilliant !

*2026-03-16, version 2.1.25*

A brilliant app, easy to use and secure. Takes 10 min and saves having to go to a solicitor to fill the forms. Then send them … Get the State Pension to use it !
