Trotz Ticket konnte ich den Audio Guide nicht nutzen. Barcode konnte nicht eingegeben werden.  Ich habe ein aktuelles iPhone 15 Pro. Die Informationen sind nur rudimentär und bieten keinen echten Mehrwert. Die normale Karte aus Papier hat quasi die selbe Funktionalität.Eine App aus den Anfängen des Internets. Schade! Setzen, sechs!

this app will not allow you to use it unless you scan the QR code or bar.   It says sign in without a ticket, but doesn’t allow you to go anywhere.   It also says put in the order number, but it does not work.   Wasted $90 on five tickets and no interactive map for half of us who wanted to go to different areas

Unfortunately you can’t log in once you’ve bought your ticket - either by scanning the QR code, the bar code OR the order number. The ‘enter’ button is unresponsive. It’s a shame - seems like a handy app.

Don't waste your time.  This stupid app crashes continuously and the map search function is utterly useless. It never finds anything you search for.  And the downloaded audio package is of such poor quality that you can barely hear the narration.

Fragt man ein Mitarbeiter, wird einem gesagt, dass die App nicht funktioniert .

Die App „mypompi“ ist ein Paradebeispiel dafür, wie man mit den besten Absichten eine Besuchererfahrung systematisch zerstören kann – und das noch mit stilvoller Nonchalance.
Der Ticket‑Scan beginnt das Spektakel: Man hält sein Ticket brav vor die Kamera, die App zeigt eine Kameraansicht, ein bisschen Vibrieren, ein halbes Blinken – und dann der krönende Clou: „Order number not found“.  
Obwohl alles korrekt gescannt wurde und die Buchungsnummer klar lesbar war, war die App offenbar der Meinung, dass ich mir das Ticket nur ausgedacht hatte. Kein Hinweis, kein Hilfe-Menü, kein Vorschlag, wie man es vielleicht anders machen könnte – nur diese stoische, kalte Zeile, die jede Zuversicht im Keim erstickte.
Besonders charmant ist, dass der Audio‑Guide gar nicht existiert. Nicht „schlecht“, nicht „unvollständig“ – einfach nicht da. Man drückt auf das verheißungsvolle Symbol, sieht den Ladebildschirm kurz überlegen – und schon ist man wieder zurück beim Ausgangszustand: stille, einsame Suchen nach Inhalten, die offenbar noch in der Ideenphase des Programmierteams gefangen sind.
Die Karte wiederum scheint einem alten Pausen‑Kunstprojekt entsprungen zu sein, das aus Versehen in die Endversion geraten ist. Sie ist so schlecht umgesetzt, dass sie nicht hilft, sondern zusätzlich verwirrt: Punkte verschwinden, Wege sind nicht sichtbar, Orientierungspunkte fehlen – man fühlt sich, als würde man mit einem blinden Kompass durch ein Labyrinth navigieren.
Für eine App, die eigentlich erleb- und erleichtern soll, ist mypompi genau das Gegenteil: ein zusätzlicher Schritt, der den Besuch komplizierter, nervenaufreibender und weniger informativ macht.

Die App ist leider völlig nutzlos. Den Audioguide kann man nicht abrufen und ohne ein paar Infos macht ein Besuch in Pompeii eigentlich keinen Spaß. Das einzige was etwas gebrauchen ist, ist die Karte auf der man immer sieht wo man sich befindet.

It says scan QR code. There isn’t one on the Plus ticket. There’s a hard to access scan text feature, it scans all text not the barcode. It says enter ticket order number, I did, after which nothing happens, you cannot proceed.

As an alternative download an open source mapping app that goes into granular walking routes like Organic Maps. Major features in the Pompeii archeological site can be tapped on to open a Wikipedia page, you may need your browser to translate.

Hint to developers: Forget trying to link the app to tickets and let anyone quickly register to access the app.

Ich habe eine Pompeii Jahreskarte. Die Eingabe des Barcode ist in der App nicht möglich. So muss ich immer wieder am Ticketschalter anstellen um eine Tageskarte zu bekommen. In der App gibt es keinen Service Bereich, an den man sich wenden könnte. Etwas armselig.

Despite a lot of the reviews on here, I actually found this pretty decent (bearing in mind it is a free download!). 

I think what helped was using the download option when installing to download the map and audio which meant that it played easily when walking around. The map is a bit clunky, but had the audio options on there and helpfully let you know which of the specific buildings were open or closed before walking to them. It was a windy day and using the map on the app seemed a lot better than the poor people struggling with paper maps!

The two frustrating things were needing to leave your phone unlocked for the audio to play, and it was not always obvious with the bit you were trying to listen to not seeming to match what you were looking at - but generally found this really useful for walking around and listening to. 

The key thing is I would plan ahead and download this all before you get to the site and it seems to work better then (if you buy your tickets in advance).

Worked fine on my iPhone 15pro. But audio tour does stop when phone goes into standby which they should fix. Location worked for me perfectly and it was very useful guiding me round the Pompeii.  Next day I was using it and the story of the centaur looking for a mate wa very entertaining! 

Fix the audio bit and it will be a good companion to a visit to Pompeii.

Many old 1 star review says the app does not have a map. I had to log in by scanning my ticket, and I got access to map with POIs and audio guides, so I suppose the app was updated since.

There are two issues with the app, which is why I’m giving 4 stars not 5:
- The audio guides are old and low in quality. Make sure to bring a headphone with good noise isolation, or noise canceling, otherwise it is challenging to understand the speech.
- The app uses GPS constantly, and it drains the phone battery a lot. A lot more than usual navigation apps. Be sure to have a powerbank or external battery with you if you plan to walk through the whole city and listen to audio guides.

An sich keine schlechte App. Die Karte funktioniert gut, die App macht was sie soll.
Allerdings ist die Tonqualität total schlecht so dass es keinen Spaß macht zuzuhören!
Anscheinend wurden die Audiodateien viel zu stark komprimiert.
Heutzutage mit super Empfang (4G & 5G) auf dem Gelände könnte hier eine deutlich bessere Qualität möglich sein!

Audioguide zu einigen der interessanteren Orte auf dem Gelände. Audioqualität sehr schlecht, aber gut verständlich. App insgesamt sehr langsam, aber machbar.
Für umsonst ganz ok.

Es ist ungünstig, dass nicht klar aus der Karte in der App hervorgeht, welche Stationen mit Audioguide anzuschauen sind und welche nicht. 
Es wäre außerdem schön, wenn deutlich mehr Audioguide-Stationen vorhanden wären. 
Schließlich ist es schade, dass die ganzen genannten Zusatzinformationen über die App nicht abzurufen sind.
