It’s very difficult for your any of the Drivers to use. Many thanks Simon. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Mr Andy *2026-09-02, version 8.81.0* On the few times I have needed to ring them up over last couple of years , have not had help from them ,first time when needed a home recovery,and guy that turned up didn’t have a clue ,and wasn’t interested,he just hooked his laptop up to my car and said there is no faults coming up ,told me it was probably to do with my fuel tank sensor ,I googled what he was saying and google told me my car did not have what he was suggesting, my next door neighbour who is 80 years old said I know what it is .its either the spark plugs or the coil pack,so went to shop they said just try the spark plugs for now ,so I did and hey presto it has started fine every time since,, then I was stuck miles from home in a dangerous situation,my key had jammed in lock and they said the key will be broke and you need a locksmith,, so I rang the locksmith they gave me the number for ,he gave me a quote of several hundreds of pounds, I rang my 80 year old neighbour again he said do you have any WD40 in the car. I said I do he said spray some in the lock and try again in 10 minutes, so I did and again hey presto it worked ., so definitely will not be using this breakdown company again,utterly useless ,, ### 1/5 — Trying to contact the RAC organisation is a nightmare *2026-09-01, version 8.81.0* I tried to order a car battery through your mobile mechanic service. Your system would not accept my details so payment could be made. I was unable to contact anyone in your organisation about this so booking was not completed. I then received an email from you telling me I have an order left unfinished. The cheapest one looked too good to be true. It was. It was last updated 5 months ago! ### 1/5 — CRA *2026-08-27, version 8.81.0* 1. You phone them to report a breakdown. 2. The answerphone tells you to complete an online form and texts you the link. 3. You fill in the form to be told you must phone them. 4. You phone them again and have to wait 30 mins. This annoying loop is what you can expect. The front pages are just full of advertisements and other selling links. Why can’t the documents be within my profile or added to my car section. If I was broken down and needed the policy number that this would lead to a very frustrating and negative experience - these items need to be on hand and easy to find please. ### 1/5 — Pointless app *2026-08-17, version 8.80.0* You would think that the RAC app would help you easily get to information about your RECOVERY POLICY. But no. It just gives you a load of other useless information. You can’t even see what account/email you’re logged in as, so that you can look up other communication history via email. What good is that? 🤣 ### 5/5 — Decent functions ~ Awful Sign In *2026-08-30, version 8.81.0* Decent for Car details on RAC, and can update you car Tax, MOT, Insurance and Service history, but not search for fuel very intuitive on searching for all fuel stations, only seems to Supermarket ones and few local, missing loads of others, the signing in to app of awful, keeps on sending a one time (time sensitive) sign in link to email, even though I’ve biometric sign in switch on ‘ if you log out it just asks for username (email) and resends one time password, the app needs redesign to make it useful, instead of going around in circles trying to get fuel search better.. it also doesn’t seem to store personal information in account settings, web page is much better. ### 5/5 — Great help *2026-08-30, version 8.81.0* My car got a flat on way to collecting my kids for a cinema trip, RAC guy on the phone was helpful n found my location, the “arrival” time for a mechanic was a bit long but it was only a flat tyre n I was “safe”, so got picked up by a friend and took kids to cinema, by the time I was out, the RAC driver had been and changed my tyre (I left everything out for him and locked car) and rang my friend to say it was all fixed. I never got to speak to him , so thank you RAC mechanic and RAC for saving me today, so glad I didn’t join the “aaa”! ### 5/5 — Assistance *2026-08-29, version 8.81.0* I have only called for help in all the time I have been a Member and that was for changing a battery and one tyre.
