### 2/5 — Program feature doesn’t work

*2022-03-05, version 1.0.2*

All the other buttons work fine but to me the program feature is the main reason to download the app. I’ve tried several times but neither button works. Using iPhone 11 Pro ver 15.3.1

### 2/5 — No Memory

*2021-07-03, version 1.0.2*

It’s a shame the save a position function doesn’t work. Not expecting a response from developers since the latest version was 3 years ago.

### 2/5 — Memory store feature does not work

*2021-06-24, version 1.0.2*

As others have pointed out, no matter how many times you try, the memory program store option does not work. You are supposed set your desired position, and then tap and hold on the “P” icon until it starts flashing. Then you are supposed to select the program position (1 or 2), to store. Then the “P” stops flashing. Theoretically, you should then be able to select that program position, and it would be recalled - but it just returns to the original factory-set positions for each. I contacted Flexsteel Support, and the responded telling me to contact my furniture store where I purchased my recliner to possibly have the control module module replaced.

I will contact them, but since I don’t see one review saying how great the program memory feature is, which is really the only real benefit over the controls on the side of the chair, I wonder if it works for anyone.

### 2/5 — Program buttons

*2020-11-05, version 1.0.2*

The program buttons don’t work. Don't retain the seating position, takes the chair back to an upright position. Expected more from the Flexsteel brand.

### 2/5 — Update the app

*2020-08-09, version 1.0.2*

Come on guys it’s good but I expect more from you.

### 2/5 — App needs an update.. no tech support from Flexsteel

*2020-01-24, version 1.0.2*

This app hasn’t been updated for 2 years! Not formatted for iPhone X, XR, Xs or iPhone 11. I’m not able to program the 1 or 2 button with my iPhone 11 Pro Max.. I can set the buttons with an iPhone 5s running an older version of iOS. I contacted Flexsteel support and was told that I have to contact the furniture company where I purchased my chair. I did.. they said they don’t support the app. Just a big runaround. Flexsteel.. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APP!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-05-04, version 2.1.0*

I can set memory programs but why would I have to keep pressing the button? One push is enough to get to the desired position. I got this chair as my second lift chair, I loved the old one.

### 1/5 — Memory Setting Still Not Working

*2025-09-15, version 2.1.0*

I purchased the Model 2+ Exclusive last week. For the price I expected a pre-programmable feature but was reassured that at least I could use the app for that. Not. The latest update (1 yr ago!) is described as “fixed some issues.” Clearly they didn’t fix the memory feature. There is no excuse, considering that the complaints about this problem go back years. Obviously it is not a priority to the company.

### 1/5 — Memory

*2022-01-10, version 1.0.2*

The memory function does not work

### 1/5 — Useless!

*2021-05-23, version 1.0.2*

It will not save any positions in the two memory slots. Buttons on the chair work fine so who needs an app that does the same thing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t remember my settings

*2021-02-19, version 1.0.2*

App doesn’t keep settings stored. Pointless!

### 1/5 — Junk

*2020-12-09, version 1.0.2*

The chair is comfortable, but the memory buttons don’t work

### 1/5 — Memory Functions Don't Work

*2020-02-13, version 1.0.2*

My first clue that this was an incomplete app was the lack of a built-in help file. With A Google search, I learned you get the chair in the position you want to save, hold down the "P" button till it blinks, then press "1" or "2" (presumably a his and hers setting) to save that setting and quickly return to it. Only it will not save the setting. All the other buttons work to adjust the recline, lumbar, and head rest, but it won't save anything, so it offers no advantage over the manual buttons on the side of the chair. In other words, it's useless.

### 2/5 — Refresh

*2025-08-01, version 2.1.0*

Why is this app the only one that needs to be manually refreshed each time i open the app…which is when it should auto-refresh.

### 2/5 — Could be good but isn’t

*2025-02-19, version 2.1.0*

I searched everywhere but could not find an instruction manual for this app. I assume the “P” button is to program buttons in the app, but the app has zero buttons that aren’t already assigned a function. Needs an update to correct this and a link to an instruction’s page.

### 2/5 — App does not set/store memory settings

*2024-02-02, version 2.0.8*

This is the same issue as nearly all of the other reviews. If there is not a fix perhaps remove the capability from the app description. The other functions are fine.

### 5/5 — Programming (figured it out)

*2025-09-21, version 2.1.0*

To program hold down the (P) button till it’s blinking and mode 1 is the TV icon and Mode 2 is the Zzz icon. Bring the chair to desired position then set program to one of those then set the other.

Hold program till blinking select mode 1 or 2 for the setting you want then done. Hope this helps

### 5/5 — This app works now!

*2025-05-30, version 2.1.0*

Simple to learn and use. No problems as of 5/30/25. I don't use the corded remote except, rarely, when my phone is discharged.

### 5/5 — Recliner

*2024-09-06, version 2.1.0*

App works well. Have no idea what the P button does. You can set the TV button by reading the instructions the instructions that come with the recliner.

### 5/5 — Memory buttons work

*2020-11-19, version 1.0.2*

To store the 2 memory locations: first set as desired with the manual buttons then tap the ‘P’ button and then hold down the ‘P’ until it flashes and set to ‘1’ or ‘2’.

### 4/5 — Nice

*2018-12-14, version 1.0.2*

This app is nice to have. I like that you can save positions. (Hold down the P until it flashes and then choose 1 or 2). I wish there were more than just two saved positions. 3 would be great! One for an upright leg up position, one for a laid back tv watching postion and another for a upright legs down position with lumbar support would be the best.

### 3/5 — Easy to use but…….

*2026-01-30, version 2.1.0*

I just purchased a Zecliner 2+ lift/recliner and absolutely love the chair. As of right now, the lumbar support is not working but someone is coming out to try to find the problem. Now on to the app, I find it very easy to pair and use. BUT, here is my problem with it. Why do you have to reconnect to the chair every time you use it??? This can be very frustrating. Does this occur only on the iPhone version or is this same issue present on the Android app?? Another thing that is starting to make me crazy is having to adjust the brightness of the light almost every time you use the app. It seems like this should be a simple fix. The app has not been updated in over a year and it really needs to be addressed and fixed. I hope an update is coming sooner rather than later so allow me chair and app to stay connected. Other than these two issues, it is a very useful tool for Zecliner chair users.

### 3/5 — FlexSteel Recliner

*2021-05-26, version 1.0.2*

I agree with one of the other reviewers Program doesn’t work right. Otherwise it’s great.

### 3/5 — Memory positions won’t save

*2020-12-13, version 1.0.2*

Same issue as the other reviewer. My only real use for the app is to save a favorite position, but it just won’t save.

### 3/5 — Memory settings don’t work

*2020-11-10, version 1.0.2*

Good app, easy and consistent connection... but I’ll wear out the motor trying to get the memory positions to work.
I’ll delete the app for now and redos load in a few months to see if it has been fixed as memory position is really the only point of the app.
