### 2/5 — Very dated

*2018-08-26, version 1.8*

Very disappointed; the app is extremely dated and makes me really wonder about this company and there products. Investigating other system.

### 2/5 — Alarm tech

*2018-01-08, version 1.8*

I am a alarm technician and the app just looks dated this needs to be updated with more features and a new user face.

### 2/5 — Too basic

*2016-06-28, version 1.8*

For all the functionality this app could have - it's just too basic.
How about a zone listing? EZ bypass options? Notifications via email or device notification screen?
It arms and disarms. But nothing fancy like the Honeywell Total Connect App.
Sorry I made the change...

### 2/5 — Don't fix what's not broken

*2014-09-27, version 1.7*

Ver 1.7 makes it harder to use an app that we business owners depend on to access our alarm system remotely and it used to just LOG ON AT A TAP -which is just what you want if your worried about security and want to check your building status RIGHT NOW.

When you sign up to get this service they provide a cryptic password you can't remember and can't change. But at least you only enter it the first time you use the app and then it's tap and your in

So when I upgraded to 1.7 I expected to tap the app icon and see my keypad like before but NOW YOU HAVE TO LOGIN TO THE APP TO SEE THE KEYPAD which also requires my real alarm key code if I want to disarm etc

In addition instead of remembering your old password and just storing it like almost every other app does, the first time you use 1.7 you need to remember your login /and that cryptic password they issue you to use it.

The fact that NAPCO still doesn't allow you to change your password or give you the option require one or not when you log in is ridiculous.

Don't just decide for us how we must login and how long it takes
Why not make it a setting so we can decide if we want to even see a login screen and decide whether to save our u/password

Once your in it works fine but there are a few spelling errors like "exixting"which makes you wonder it is a security firm detail oriented right?

### 2/5 — Works

*2014-04-15, version 1.4*

App needs to be updated, it is slow and is not designed for iPhone 5

### 1/5 — Poor App

*2012-10-27, version 1.4*

I spent money getting the iRemote MOD installed for remote access to keypad. The app constantly crashes and when it looks like its working it's not. I also wanted to be able to administer user code, but it does not. :-(

### 2/5 — Very poor app

*2012-02-09, version 1.4*

This app crashes most times when I try to use it. Other times, it hangs when trying to connect. When it does connect, it works as advertised. However, it is very limited. There are no alerts and/or notification log like other comparable products.

### 2/5 — Wifi problem

*2011-03-24, version 1.2*

This app will not allow you to remotely control the keypad over a wifi connection. Does this make any sense to you? It sure doesn't to me. It wont even warn you that it wont work, or prevent the operation; rather it crashes the application. And when you relaunch, it gives you the cryptic message "keypad busy". The only way to correct this is to "log out" and then relaunch the app once it automatically quits. This is a lousy excuse and shoddy programming.

### 1/5 — Crash test dummy

*2011-02-23, version 1.2*

This program crashes and I'm a dummy for hoping it'll work. I have an iPhone 4. This program has wonderful graphics however the main screen stays on and does nothing more. It used to work for about 2 days, intermittent at best, when I first downloaded it.

### 1/5 — Won’t let me create an account

*2025-06-13, version 1.8.2*

Won’t create account

### 1/5 — Continues to show error message

*2019-04-13, version 1.8*

Application will close now due to a network error. Can you please update this app!?!?

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2017-12-16, version 1.8*

The last update to this app was 2 years ago. This should tell you something.

### 1/5 — Very disappointing app

*2015-04-04, version 1.7*

Extremely disappointed with app. I have a remote app for my garage doors and remote cameras - just simple, easy to use apps. This one is horrible - it's not designed well. I would have gotten a different security system had I known this is what I would have to use for remote access. Just painfully slow, non responsive and doesn't offer real notifications.

### 1/5 — Fisher Price's my first app

*2014-11-01, version 1.7*

Wow, obviously Napco isn't concerned with quality control for their app development. First, if you are talking on the phone, you can't use the app (buttons don't register). Second, they haven't updated the resolution for iPhone 5 (been out for over a year guys). 3rd you can't connect if you are on your home wifi. It was a nice try for your first app, but maybe hire someone that knows what they are doing?

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2014-03-19, version 1.4*

please fix it ..I deleted it from my iPhone and put it back on and it still says keypad busy come back later….

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2013-11-08, version 1.4*

Awful app as most everyone states. Crashes more than it works. This shld be a no brainier to make work properly. I won't buy another system from them.

### 1/5 — Horrible performance

*2013-07-15, version 1.4*

I had this app/ feature installed with my home security and it has been a total waste. The app may have worked twice and even then was not a smooth task, now it stays in the loading mode and never come out of it. I really needed this feature and has been a total disappointment.

### 1/5 — Waste

*2012-12-24, version 1.4*

Crash city. Waste of money!!

### 1/5 — constant crashing

*2012-12-18, version 1.4*

as with other reviewers this app STILL continues to crash on iOS6. C'mon this is ridiculous! its been at least 9 months now an nothing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Exactly what it says it is.

*2018-04-05, version 1.8*

Gives all the functionality of your alarm on your phone. If you want more, get the iBridge Zremote.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2013-01-25, version 1.4*

You people complaining about crashing need to understand how iOS works and not press the home button to exit the app. iOS never closes apps, it just freezes them; so basically, you people are causing the app to crash. Do yourselves a favor and tap the log off button and it works great.

### 5/5 — Yes it works

*2012-08-15, version 1.4*

Works always no problems with cellular data or wifi, sometimes on wifi the connection fails just like a home comp. and unless using unsecure hotspot wifi you need to be close to your wifi connection. Always works for us with no problems THANKS TO APP CREATOR I can access anytime anywhere and check home device.

### 5/5 — Nice if it would work...

*2011-06-09, version 1.3*

I guess there is a new version for the iPhone 4. Currently, I'm not able to use any keypad entries. It will tell me the status of the alarm system but unable to arm or disarm using the numeric keys. I guess once this new version is out it should solve the conflict with version 4 of the iPhone. The application would be awesome once the problems are corrected. I do agree that the real time status information is fairly quick to display over the internet, but got to have the ability to use keypad entries otherwise the application is crippled without being able to arm/disarm the system via the app.
Update: The new 1.1 version works much better with iPhone 4. The app is more solid and stable. Response time to type commands is much more accurate and the app loads right away. I'm sold Napco! Great product!
Update: V1.3. The Wi-Fi issue still not fixed. The app will hung over Wi-Fi, but still works great over 3G.

### 5/5 — A keypad control that looks like the one on the wall

*2011-03-08, version 0*

This is the only application I have seen that actually looks and works like the alarm keypad already installed in our home.
Our friends are switching to a Napco alarm system...

### 5/5 — Best security app!!!

*2010-10-22, version 0*

This is the best security app yet! Easy to use, functions just like my keypad at home. Great peace of mind to be able to see if I armed my system anywhere, anytime.

### 4/5 — Won't work over wifi v1.3 (v1.4 works)

*2011-12-07, version 1.4*

As usual with Napco products. As an installer, I setup one in my house and noticed that it would not work over my local network (wi-fi), called napco tech support and was told that they were aware of the issue and that an updated version would be available in less than two weeks. It has been now more than 7 months and nothing. I will be switching to Honeywell's Total Connect....much better and it has e-mail notification of events.--------------------------finally, it now works very well.
Upgrade to version 1.4 ------------------
 Multiple sites support needed!!!!!!!!!!!

### 3/5 — Works (most of the time)

*2014-02-22, version 1.4*

This app works for me 90% of the time over wifi or LTE. Sometimes I have to close it and reopen to get it to work. Definitely time for an iPhone 5 screen size update.

### 3/5 — almost...

*2011-09-05, version 1.3*

this app is almost ready for release, but not quite. it crashes regularly, though sometimes it works. hire a new coder and get it done!

### 3/5 — Bugged bad...

*2011-09-03, version 1.3*

This app crashes every time it's opened. Fix it, please!!!!!! Great when it works!
