## Newest reviews (18 of 106)

### 2/5 — Weak app

*2026-09-01, version 8.1.5*

Does not allow for group texting which is essential in today’s world.

### 2/5 — Can’t wait for competition

*2026-06-17, version 8.0.4*

I got here because we’re currently being asked to “click here to update to the latest version.” Link comes to the App Store, with “open” being the only option.

Too bad, because one might hope the latest version would fix its many issues.

I hope there are alternatives offered soon.

### 2/5 — Need work

*2026-06-16, version 8.0.4*

Needs to work faster and have more options.

### 2/5 — New Update

*2026-06-07, version 8.0.3*

All of what everyone has said is true and with this new update, I am not receiving any notifications.

### 3/5 — Bug with new message

*2026-05-08, version 8.0.1*

The “new message” icon does not allow user to compose a message. Have to locate person in address book or history and then start message. UI is much improved.

### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-04-25, version 8.0.1*

Horrible app for such an important task! Unable to track conversations!

### 2/5 — Prettier and less functional

*2026-04-21, version 8.0.1*

Cannot compose a text message to client which is kinda the only reason this app exists.

### 2/5 — Notifications

*2026-01-21, version 6.8.4*

My biggest issue with this app is that when I tap a notification about a new message from my lock screen, it does not take me to that conversation. It takes me to the last conversation that I had open most recently. It works just fine besides that, but that is extremely inconvenient and not free of risk. Be careful when opening notifications from your lock screen.

### 1/5 — Horrendous performance

*2025-12-10, version 6.8.2*

You would think they would have improved when fmg bought them. Instead it’s a dated app with horrible service. But fmg pays off the broker dealers to be the preferred vendor. So we are stuck with a garbage app

### 3/5 — Glitchy notifications

*2025-12-04, version 6.8.1*

I am required to use MyRepChat for compliant texting. While the app is rather glitchy and many of the features accessible via desktop are missing from the app, the app serves its intended purpose.
The most frustrating glitch is that I have a number of perpetual “ghost notifications” indicating unread messages despite all of my messages having been read. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to clear the notifications. I know other MRC users experiencing the same problem. This glitch requires me to remember the number of ghost notifications that always appear in the red dot on the app. Then, when the notification figure exceeds the number of ghost notifications, I know that I’ve actually received a text message.

### 2/5 — Necessary evil in over regulated industry

*2025-11-21, version 6.8.1*

I can attest to what most other reviewers are saying. It serves a compliance purpose, but it is rough in terms of usability. Constantly buggy and just not great user experience. At $180 per year cost, one would hope that money would go toward improving user experience, but with every sporadic update performance stays the same, but hey they updated the icons!! Yay 😕

### 2/5 — Needs improvement

*2025-11-14, version 6.7.0*

It has a badge notification icon that won't go away. So I turned off badges and missed an important text. That's just the latest issue. Seems like an app from 15 years ago. I would never use it if compliance did not require it.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-11-13, version 6.7.0*

If this wasn’t required by my industry, I would never, EVER use this app. Truly one of the worst apps. Tech glitches all the time, UI is awful, and good luck getting your contacts to show up without duplicating or triplicating on their own.

If you have a choice, don’t go with this app.

### 2/5 — It’s buggy

*2025-11-06, version 6.7.0*

This app has annoying bugs and has for years. Latest is a persistent notification icon when there is no new messages. Even uninstalled and not logged in, it still shows the new message icon. Unknown callers create new contacts clogging my CRM.

### 1/5 — Many issues

*2025-07-16, version 5.11.0*

Many functionality issues, app is borderline not usable

### 1/5 — Remains problematic

*2025-05-30, version 5.10.3*

Did the client see the message? Well ya never know. From constant disclosures being sent to clients not seeing messages, this app remains a debacle. Guess they have no competition.

### 1/5 — Dealing with spam difficult

*2025-05-02, version 5.10.1*

App should be re-engineered to make user interface easier to block spam calls. You must go through five steps to block a call currently.

### 1/5 — Text not received by client

*2025-03-28*

No error message yet no receipt. Not the only one who didn't get. App has one basic job - delivering texts / app failed. Can't recommend.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-07-15, version 8.0.7*

Thing is complete trash. Unnecessary. Doesn’t load right.

### 1/5 — Update downhill

*2026-05-19, version 8.0.1*

The newest update went downhill in terms of user usability. It’s very buggy, and I miss the feature in the old app that showed calls/messages in timeline order all on one screen. Now if I want to call AND text the same contact, I have to Search their contact in the text tab, send the message, get into the phone tab, search the same contact again, then call.

### 1/5 — Use this app if you want to drive away customers

*2026-05-12, version 8.0.1*

I can’t say enough bad things about MRC. It’s the only app approved at my firm, otherwise I would never use it.
The way this app handles calls (by connecting the user’s number and the clients number) often doesn’t work. I’ve tested this with my wife’s phone and often a failed call goes ahead and rings to her phone, sometimes many minutes later and when she answers there’s no one there.
Additionally, I had a client try to add his wife to make a group text. Not only did MRC just throw out that message because they don’t support MMS, it didn’t notify me or the client that the message didn’t go through.
I can’t imagine how much business I’ve lost due to this app. If the big broker dealers ever allow competition, MRC will be out of business in days, as they deserve to be.

### 1/5 — Calls

*2026-04-21, version 8.0.1*

From people I never knew

### 1/5 — There has to be better options out there

*2026-04-21, version 8.0.1*

Their app is constantly glitching. Even with the recent update glitch with all of the AI stuff out there and all the advancements and technology their has to be a better compliant option.

### 1/5 — In true MyRepChat language

*2026-04-18, version 7.0.2*

I have logged in to see the new version of the app and nothing has changed. It’s the same garbage UI with the same archaic architecture that was used to make the first calculator.

### 1/5 — Garbage.

*2026-04-06, version 7.0.2*

Of course the app is garbage. It’s required by the government.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-02-18, version 6.8.7*

Sending pictures is difficult and tedious. App constantly needs to be deleted and downloaded again. It never shows the red circle when I have new messages. Many times it shows the same text string 4 or 5 times in a row on the message page. There’s no way to mark a message as “unread.” Why can’t it work as easily as the green text app on an iPhone. This shouldn’t be difficult.

### 1/5 — One of the more terrible apps in existence

*2026-01-14, version 6.8.4*

Latest update: Its latest thing is crashing to a blank screen if you switch between it and another app. What a piece of garbage.

Both as an advisor and an iphone user, this is the worst app I use. And it's the only texting option in our tech stack for texting because the other app we can use is so bad that it doesn't even function enough to get one star. The bar in the finance industry for technology is soooo low. Any high school kid with codeing knowledge could put finance texting apps to shame.

### 1/5 — Bad service

*2026-01-05, version 6.8.4*

### 5/5 — Good Balance

*2025-03-24, version 5.9.8*

We implemented this enterprise solution for our Reps and received positive feedback on its ability to balance compliance and practice management needs. FMG has enhanced features for better client/advisor engagement through texting. Using templates, bookmarks, and group messaging, we have saved a lot of time and effort.

### 5/5 — Great

*2021-05-08, version 4.73*

Nothing is perfect, but MyRepChat listens and constantly improves. I love it.

### 5/5 — Great System

*2020-04-24*

We are using this to take orders at our restaurant. We only have one phone line and now with COVUD-19 our restaurant has been forced into takeout. It works great. It frees up the phone line. Customers love it. My servers love it too. We are definitely keeping it when thing are back to normal. Texting seems to be the new normal.
