## What is MyREtax?

myREtax mobile app provides a homeowner the ability to upload images of your home that justify a decrease in your assessment value.  Upload images by selecting that portion of the home you have taken photos so we can include them in your appeal package.

Explanation of hiring us to do the appeal:
Some homeowners prefer for a third party to represent them in the appeal process. This involves coming up with the appeal evidence, if merit for an appeal exists, and then representing the homeowner at the appeal hearings.

Explanation of Assessment and Taxes:
ASSESSORS, ARE GIVEN THE TASK OF DERIVING AN ASSESSED VALUE PER HOME.
The Assessment is multiplied by a tax rate to calculate the real estate taxes. Sometimes the tax bill contains other charges, which are mathematically summed to arrive at the total tax bill.

The assessed value derived by the Assessor is an opinion of market value and can be challenged. The Assessor may consider a Sales Comparison (i.e., an analysis of comparable house sales) and Cost Approaches (i.e., an estimate of replacement cost) to value.
