### 2/5 — Noisy Environments

*2026-08-22, version 1.1.0*

I can't keep the background noise out in restaurants so I have stopped using it. Hope someone can figure out how to set it up correctly

### 2/5 — Poor design

*2026-02-05, version 1.1.0*

When working, good, but many problems. Almost impossible for my handicapped wife to tell when it’s on. Very weak and poor display. Almost impossible to tell battery status. Microphone constantly flips when worn with lanyard. Let’s have a better design!

### 2/5 — No connection.

*2025-11-23, version 1.1.0*

Works well at home. Doesn’t work at all away from home. The app tries to connect but fails. A good device supported by poor software.

### 2/5 — Not worth the money

*2025-09-16, version 1.1.0*

The function to wire into the digital sound of the TV didn’t work but just pointing it at the TV helped. However trying to use it in a restaurant seemed almost pointless.
A very expensive toy.

### 5/5 — Feels like having my natural ears back

*2025-08-17, version 1.1.0*

A great addition to my Phonak hearing aids, now I can watch TV without my headphones. Great.

### 5/5 — WOW

*2025-07-28, version 1.1.0*

Really makes being in a group with background noise much easier to understand what’s being said!!! Pricey but in my opinion, worth every cent!!!

### 4/5 — 素晴らしい一方で課題あり

*2025-02-10*

マイフォナックアプリのようにロジャーオン3の音質を変更出来れば完璧！

**Developer response:** Hi, to adjust the sound of a Phonak Roger On 3, you can use myRoger Mic app. Open the "myRotogerMic" app and connect Phonak Roger On 3, where you can control various settings to customize the sound based on your environment and preference.

### 5/5 — Life is Great Again

*2024-11-13, version 1.1.0*

I’ve been wearing hearing aids for 20 years. I’m very vain about wearing them and very often try to hide the fact. My hearing loss is moderate to severe. My hearing aids were fine for one on one conversations and in a relatively quiet environment. But group settings or with any background nose it was impossible to follow along. My attempts at faking an understanding in a conversation led to some
Very embarrassing moments. Restaurants were the worst. Or classroom and seminars were the bad also. Then I read an article about the development of the myRogerMic On by Sonoma. My audiologist had no idea what it was. I insisted she order me one. Oh my oh my. How my life changed. I don’t leave home without it. I set in the middle of a table in a group setting. Several microphone in the unit pick up the person talking with great clarity. In a classroom or seminar setting I leave the unit the person presenting. I attend small local plays and set the myRogerMic at a convenient spot and I’m able to hear every performer like they were standing in front of me. I attend various game events similar to and including Bingo and leave the unit with the caller and don’t miss a thing. I attend weekly trivia contest and I leave the unit with the caller. It’s amazing how much I’ve improved in these wonderful events. Could it be that I’m now actually hearing what’s really being said. Life is great again. Addendum: I forgot the one significant use. When in a passenger car with people in the front seat and back seat I place the Roger in the seat I’m not in and can everyone even if the radio is on. This device is a marriage savor.

### 3/5 — Ambient distraction

*2024-11-11, version 1.1.0*

My experience with roger on is a varied experience. It works best for me only when a person is wearing the mic. So it is useful to me when bicycling on a rail trail with my wife. We need to stay pretty close together as bluetooth range is limited to 25 - maybe 50’ at best. It is beneficial to me when we kayak.

However, my greatest hope for the mic was for clarity in small conversation settings: meals with friends at home, restaurants and in relatively sparse and not overcrowded places like our church foyer.

For me, the various roger modes in ambient circumstances make no difference. Boosting the mic using the app simply raises all levels: speech and crowd noise. I am not referring to large sport, music, outdoor events - the mic is not effective for me in small crowds 5 - 20 people. My audiologist has tried many different settings (only he can make) and yet at present we have had no success.

From a user perspective I’d love improvements to:
1) bluetooth range improved a bit further
2) a more directional mic option to help diminish surrounding ambient noise/speech.
3) could there ever be a “voice recognition” technology developed where a user could store voice frequency patterns that are likely unique to the main people of my life so that when they speak there’s an auto focus to that pattern. It’d be great to have to carry in my pocket the small storage deice that accesses voice recognition data. I.e. a user could pre record voices and when you are encountering these voices there’s a shift to dampen surrounding frequencies to bring focus and clarity to the person speaking?

### 4/5 — Tracking?

*2024-10-24, version 1.1.0*

The app is great for the most part, but it would be great if you could see how well it is charged while the Roger is charging, and to add a tracking feature so that you can find the Roger if it is being passed around a room in meetings or discussions. Other than that it is a wonderful tool.

### 1/5 — Connection problem

*2025-07-28, version 1.1.0*

This app worked perfectly until this week. Now it won’t pair with my Roger 3. I called Phonak tech support and they could not get the app to pair with my Roger 3 either. Where do I go for help?

You just sent an answer for me to contact Support. I did that and was told they could not pair my hearing aids with my Roger 3, that I should contact my provider. My audiologist said this is your app so why would it not be your responsibility.

### 1/5 — My Roger Mike

*2025-06-16, version 1.1.0*

Won’t connect . Have to adjust the ambience every time

### 1/5 — Can’t turn off

*2025-05-10, version 1.1.0*

I’ve tried all the different ways I can find, but none work.

### 1/5 — stethoscope

*2025-02-22, version 1.1.0*

I needed a way to stream my digital stethoscope to my Phonak
hearing aid.
The Roger mic and myRoger Mic are a perfect fit.

### 1/5 — Unstable

*2024-02-08, version 1.0.3*

The Roger ON In device would be 5 Stars if the connection of the device was stable. Unfortunately it will only connect circa 20% of the time rendering the device suboptimal for most of the time. To be clear, the device will work but your ability to make fine adjustment is severely compromised. For the cost in excess of £1K this is totally unacceptable. Buy it only if the above is acceptable to you.

### 1/5 — Frequently looses settings, Requires frequent adjustment

*2022-08-26, version 1.0.2*

Newest version frequently “forgets” “saved” settings, especially when quitting and restarting the app. If sound source changes to answering the phone or listening to music, it becomes necessary to readjust settings of this app. A partial fix is to keep this app open always and keep iPhone nearby always. There is no option to save an adjusted custom setting, when you re-access any setting, be it custom or default, you must readjust the volume. The only save is to save to a new setting, but each time you access the newly created setting, the parameters are lost and must be readjusted. Recommandation: Add a save and save as button to this menu, and FIX THE PROBLEM of settings being lost.
