### 2/5 — Not good

*2026-07-13, version 4.16.1*

The app is always having problems connecting to the actual product it. In the middle of summer someone decided to turn it on manually and when I went to the app it would not turn off or go down. The actual product will also not manually turn off or go down which can result in very bad problems.

### 3/5 — Pleased until the latest update

*2026-04-04, version 4.14.0*

Thermostat is not responding and tech-support started with an AI bot.

### 3/5 — Amélioré ne veut pas dire meilleur

*2026-03-21, version 4.13.2*

### 2/5 — App got more confusing in Summer 2025

*2025-12-31, version 4.10.3*

Coming from UX Designer, this is a step in the wrong direction. Menus are more complex, there's more lingo and language that's difficult to understand at a glance, and I cannot even figure out where my existing schedules are. Please take another look at the design of this app.

### 3/5 — Good thermostats

*2025-12-09, version 4.10.2*

I have both the MYSA Baseboard and HVAC thermostats.

The Mobile App display for current temp and humidity are too small when viewing the individual thermostat settings.

Baseboard thermostats are really accurate.

The Thermostats hardware temp LED display should have user defined color settings such as blue red or green and not just bright white. Maybe even, auto change the display temp to orange for when calling for HEAT and blue when calling for COOL then back to white or green when idle.

HVAC thermostat won’t call for HEAT unless more than 1 degree below set point, which is frustrating to see the thermostat 1 degree below the setting and you can feel it too. Prefer to have a less than 1 degree HEAT call. My old Honeywell always kept temp exactly at set point.

FAN control should be independent from HVAC calls. User should be able to turn fan on or auto and not forced to either or. My old Honeywell allowed fan to be on AUTO and still allowed me to manual turn on the fan when needed without reconfiguring the entire HVAC thermostat.

HVAC thermostat needs EarlyOn feature so whole house slowly comes up to temp by set point time. This feature is assumed in all newer smart thermostats!!!

Support is stellar if you have a question or issue. But some expected smart features are missing.

### 3/5 — Improve the App Please

*2025-12-07, version 4.10.2*

We have 5 Mysa thermostats in the house and we love them but the app could use a lot of work. Like seeing usage would be nice to see how often they turn on. Like a report system kind of. The app does the barebones but the product is incredible. Just please improve the app

### 3/5 — Managing Schedules

*2025-11-26*

Managing Schedules is ok but needs to be more intuitive. Kind of confusing creating a future schedule because it wipes out your current settings. Display for current temp and humidity are too small when viewing the individual thermostat settings. But ok when viewing all the thermostats together. App is a little buggy and needs thorough testing by developers. Baseboard and HVAC Thermostats are great though hardware temp LED display should have color settings such as blue red or green and not just white. Maybe even, red for when set to HEAT and blue for AC.

### 4/5 — Please add more features to the app

*2025-11-25, version 4.10.2*

Great product but the software is lacking. Please add series of event which allows multiple same events in different days to be edited

### 3/5 — Thermostats work wonderful the app isn’t the most intuitive

*2025-11-21, version 4.10.2*

Technical support takes a day or two to get back to you, which is OK. Their answers don’t represent what I’m seeing and I have to keep going back. I wish there was a document that was thoroughly written with illustrations to help the end deal with the scheduling and modifying scheduling and canceling schedules.

### 3/5 — Poor geofencing

*2025-11-14, version 4.10.1*

Good thermostat for setting a schedule and controlling with the app but the geofencing sucks. Went back and forth with customer service to make sure our phone settings were set properly and still won’t switch to away or home mode consistently. Agent I spoke to gave up and said “hopefully it works in an app update someday.”

### 4/5 — Opening app

*2025-11-14, version 4.10.1*

I do not need to know how to pronounce Mysa every time I open the app.
I would like to open the app to my dashboard of thermostats.
Please and thank you!

### 1/5 — Not smart

*2025-11-04, version 4.9.0*

Setup fails every time, the app can never connect to the thermostat’s wifi to complete setup. Emailed support and after 5 days, no one got back to me.

### 3/5 — No energy usage button at all.

*2025-10-29, version 4.9.0*

There is no possibility to see the energy usage because there’s no energy button in the application. The App Store screen shots show that you can see the energy usage, however there is no such an option.

### 2/5 — Went from good to bad

*2025-10-23, version 4.9.0*

Functionality reduced in recent releases - swing up/down (and left/right) removed from schedule options.

Run time no longer calculated incorrectly (e.g. programmed to run 8 hours and shows 22.3 hours).

Support used to respond and then engage in dialogue to resolve (effectively). Now AI Agent responds once and no further dialogue.

Recommended product the preceding two years but cannot at this point.

### 3/5 — App Not Working Anymore

*2025-10-20, version 4.8.0*

iOS 26 + iPhone 15 Pro. Turned on my heater now that it’s starting to get colder. Decided to try to use the app since I was away from the thermostat. First I got the “oops! Something went wrong. Restart app.” Restarted app—nothing. Did a hard restart on the whole device, now it automatically logged me out and still gives the same error. Reinstalled it and logged in again—still nothing. I’m assuming this is happening after the update with “bug fixes” you did 3 weeks ago. The app doesn’t do anything anymore. Please try to fix it as I control my devices from work 25 miles away in the winter. Otherwise, I’ll have to come home cold and wait for it to warm up, which kind of defeats the purpose of this expensive “smart thermostat” I bought. The app and even the thermostat is useless until this gets fixed. Never had a single issue prior to this update.
Edit: Also tried turning off my VPN and restarting—still nothing. A VPN definitely shouldn’t affect this service anyway, but it was worth a shot. Disappointed.
Another Edit: it randomly signed me in on its own and started working again. Weird. I don’t trust it yet so I’m gonna keep it at 3 stars for now. Still no issues on my android devices. Just iOS.

### 2/5 — App got more confusing in Summer 2025

*2025-08-02, version 4.5.2*

Coming from UX Designer, this is a step in the wrong direction. Menus are more complex, there's more lingo and language that's difficult to understand at a glance, and I cannot even figure out where my existing schedules are. Please take another look at the design of this app.

### 1/5 — New app is garbage

*2025-07-28, version 4.5.2*

Mysa recently overhauled their iOS app, and it is so much worse now. Forget the confusing UI changes and extra taps. It’s buggy, laggy, and inconsistent. I try and change the temperature and it fails to set and then maybe goes and does it several seconds later. Tapping the up/down arrows is a gamble. I wind up controlling it via Home Assistant instead, because at least that works reliably.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No longer works with Google Home

*2026-08-06, version 4.17.0*

Main reason I bought was these work, or used to work, with google home. Somewhere recently it stopped worked and just shows as offline in Google

### 1/5 — Becoming useless

*2026-06-04, version 4.16.1*

Two of my six thermostats keep turning on, even though I have all of them set to “hold until you change it.” I turn them both off and they continue to turn back on. NO, no one is touching them, I live alone. This is clearly an app and/or hardware glitch and it needs to be fixed!! I do not need my heat running simultaneously with my AC, my utility bills are expensive enough!!!

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-04-05, version 4.14.0*

Like everyone in recent reviews is saying. No longer works and tried pairing many times.

Now it’s just trash

### 1/5 — Useless after updates last year

*2026-03-15, version 4.13.2*

These thermostats are useless now after the updates. Multiple messages left with an AI response. After many years of flawless operation, the updates made last year ruin them. I had to get rid of them as they increased my electricity bill by after 40%. Bought new Meross thermostats that actually work and already have a warmer house without baseboards running nonstop, with a 40% drop in kWh per day. Replaced all 6 of my Mysa baseboard thermostats.

### 1/5 — Lacks a room temp calibration feature

*2026-03-10, version 4.13.2*

This Mysa “Smart” thermostat is smart in the sense that you can control it minimally from your phone, but beyond that it is rather “dumb”. Zero usage or energy tracking on the app, and no way to calibrate the room temperature reading. The latter feature would take a coder 15 mins to code into the app and provide a much needed adjustment feature. I won’t return this because it’s its not worth uninstalling but I am not impressed and I would not recommend this product.

### 1/5 — Straight Garbage now!

*2026-01-30, version 4.11*

Since the new update last year, these things a terrible. Never reaches set temps, always running and wasting electricity. Set a 9x6 bathroom to 66°, 5 hrs later it’s only 63° but heater never shuts off. I have 6 installed in my house and none work anymore the way they use too. It’s been 0°-15°f outside for over 2 weeks, and the house is freezing with thermostats set at 66°. They never reaching the set temperature and hovers around 63° without the heaters turning off all day long. Almost like the heaters are stuck in low mode. Save your money and buy something else. I now have to spend hundreds of dollars to buy new thermostats that actually work, after spending hundreds of dollars in electric bills because these things don’t turn anything off. Long time customer here saying that the recent updates over the last year ruin these, and I’m getting rid of them! After complaining since the beginning of fall, zero updates have been given, and each update makes them worst! These thermostats are straight trash now!

### 1/5 — DO NOT UPDATE YOUR APP

*2026-01-04, version 4.10.3*

If you are using this for a forced air fan in the new app update you have lost the option to change the settings between short, medium and long. It now seems it’s permanently set to short or medium which now has all of my mysa heaters constantly turning on and off. I updated the app just 2 days ago and it is SOOOO DANG ANNOYING. There is nothing worse than a company who has no concept for UX (user experience). I now find myself once again looking for other thermostats if i cant roll back the app update. What a complete failure.

### 1/5 — New update from last winter is garbage!

*2025-12-05, version 4.10.2*

Whatever you guys changed from last winter to this winter made the thermostats garbage. No matter the settings, heaters do what they want. Set it to 66°, thermostats take 3+ hours for the room temperature to rise to set temperature, with the heaters on nonstop. These thermostats used to put out the amount of heat out of low, medium, or high based on ambient temperature. Now it’s like every baseboard runs on low, taking forever to heat a run. My 6x9 bathroom now takes 5hrs+ to heat up to the set point! Fix it, or I’ll have to get rid of all 5 mysa thermostats!!

### 1/5 — No add device button

*2025-12-03, version 4.10.2*

There is no add device button in Mysa App.
Ridiculous

### 1/5 — Eco mode is gone?

*2025-11-20, version 4.10.2*

Where is the eco mode option for baseboard heaters? It was available last year and every year prior, and this year when I turned the heaters on, noticed they hardly shutoff, which is increasing my electricity prices significantly. Went to check settings and eco mode is impossible to find, or was just removed for some reason. I don’t want all 8 of my 240v baseboard heaters to run nonstop! Is the option removed, or just very difficult to find?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The new app is the best among all smart home apps I’ve used.

*2026-03-19, version 4.13.2*

Easy, clear actions, friendly.

### 5/5 — Need a widget for the app

*2026-03-14, version 4.13.2*

Please add a widget for the app so we can place all thermostats in one widget on home screen and change temperature without opening the app.

### 5/5 — 5 Star support response

*2025-12-02*

App display for current temp and humidity are too small when viewing the individual thermostat settings. But ok when viewing all the thermostats together. Baseboard and HVAC Thermostats are great though hardware temp LED display should have user defined color settings such as blue red or green and not just white. Maybe even, auto change the display temp to orange for when calling for HEAT and blue when calling for COOL then back to white or green when idle. Support is stellar if you have a question or issue.

### 5/5 — Recent update is great

*2025-06-16, version 4.3.0*

The most recent big update fixed my biggest complaint about the app, which was around editing schedules. Overall the app works great for me for controlling multiple units in three different homes.

### 5/5 — Love the new app update!

*2025-05-11, version 4.0.10*

The new features and dark mode are great! The app feels much sleeker and easier on the eyes.🙌🏻

### 5/5 — Finally a dark mode

*2025-05-10, version 4.0.10*

I've literally been waiting years for a dark mode. Adding the elusive fifth star now that it's here.

### 5/5 — New app is big upgrade!

*2025-05-09, version 4.0.10*

Love the new look. Dark mode for the win! New charting is much better.

### 5/5 — Dashboard

*2025-04-06, version 3.65.0*

Only wish I could rearrange my thermostats listed. Hold, wiggle, and move would be helpful. Please update and thank you.

One more thing…Dark mode would be nice.

### 5/5 — A Hit and a Miss

*2024-12-05, version 3.62.4*

I was so excited to find these. I’ve had baseboard heaters since I moved into this apartment, but never liked the controls. They were installed in the 70s I think. Totally worn, no numbers just a dial.

The set up on the app is average/normal. You have to create an account. Then you get into customization.

Couple things: the temp is always 2-3 degrees lower than what you set it. I think it’s the hold. It will heat up to what you want then allow the room to cool a little before heating again.

I set two schedules for my rooms and then deleted them. This morning I woke up and found them back in there.

****AND GEOFENCING ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WORK****

Set mine up and left to do some errands. It asks to use location while using the app,
Then asks you again if you want to keep it on all the time. The next screen allows you to choose Home Away or Vacation.

Then the following screen seems to not make sense at all. It asks you what you want to do when you’re home and when you’re away, but the tab corresponds to the opposite. So it makes no sense at all.

Online help is pretty much useless since it refers back to an older much more robust version of the app.

I’m glad I got these, but the app is disappointing. I’m surprised it’s this bad considering Mysa is a Canadian company, not like it’s from China or something.

************************
Edit: I figured out geofencing and it works. The set up is still a little confusing.

Originally I rated this app as 2 stars, but changed it to 5 stars because this app does everything I need and expected. I was gonna say it should have more features, but honestly, I don’t know what else I would want.
