If you only use it occasionally it locks you out each time and forces you to do two factor authentication to re-login. Pointless and annoying when you have an iPhone with Face ID and remote wipe capability (especially given you have to enter your password AND 2FA in public if you are trying to use it and have been logged out). Automatic logout when you only use it occasionally is purely an annoyance for the customer and adds no safety.
